Nairaland / General / Re: Top 20 Podcast In Nigeria by dayos12(m): 1:25am On Dec 24, 2016
It's great seeing podcasts grow in Nigeria. I really love the development we're having now that more businesses are embracing the prospects of podcasting because it's easier, more intimate and really a branding tool in the marketplace.

Gracefully, I, Dayo Samuel, am on that list, thank you ndizzy for posting about podcasting.
Business / Is This Possible? How On Earth Can You Do And Be Paid Something You Love Online? by dayos12(m): 3:29pm On Apr 13, 2015
Thanks for opening this thread.

We all have passions & dreams.

My friend Mayowa of AuthorsCrib.com shares, "Some years back, I had a job but it was soul sucking. My boss controlled all of my life from Monday to Saturday and that ended just 8 months after I have been so happy to have got my "dream" real estate job then - I quit my job and started living my dreams & passion.

Today, I work for 4 hours a day, sleep many hours more than many and I'm making way more than I was making in my 8am - 10pm (adding all those hours of morning & night traffic holdups from Lekki to Ajah) life."

That sound like a sweet story right?

Maybe and maybe not but that's a real story.

Now, back to you.

Come to think of it! Have you ever nursed an idea before in your mind of doing something?

Have you ever had a burning passion for something that you are clueless about especially how to turn that into something tangible?

Or have you ever thought of this "online" thing that many people are shouting about today to make a living?

As a friend, if any of these sounds like you, then read on.

I'm starting another online radio show with my good friend - and the online show is focused on helping you and anyone who want to build, grow or monetize a passion or ideas online. It's a B'S, no fluff - pure show.

Trust me, the opportunities are endless on the internet for even the most mundane and silly ideas or passion (what about scrap booking or helping people write love letters)- I'm a living example.

Now I would like to know:

1. What you ever found 'hard' 'difficult' or 'fascinating' about turning your passion or idea to cash?

2. Is there anything you have tried online? Did it work? How long?

If you can help me answer these 2 questions, it would go a long way in the direction of the podcast (online radio show) which will be available to you for free two times every week.

So let me know what you think as I expect your response.

Thanks.

Have you ever thought about starting an online business or a business that runs on the Internet?

I'm looking to create a new podcast focused on helping Nigerians with internet-based businesses.

But here is what I'll like to know:

1. What do you ever find 'hard' 'difficult' or 'fascinating' about online-based business?

2. Is there anything you have tried online? What was it? Did it work? How long?

If you can help me answer just these 2 questions, it would go a long way in the direction of the podcast which will be available to you for free 2 times every week.

So let me know what you think as I expect your response.

Thank you smiley

Investment / Re: Is Transcorp Hotel IPO Worth Buying? Honest Opinion Pls by dayos12(m): 1:44pm On Nov 10, 2014
I clicked over to your podcast. Nice work you're doing. If you don't mind, I'll love to connect with you and the many podcasters in Nigeria you may know. I'm forming an alliance for us to interact.

If you're available also, I'm putting together a podcast training next weekend in Lagos

I did an analysis on the Transcorp Hotels IPO which you can find here http://web.nairametrics.com/before-you-buy-here-are-ten-things-you-need-to-know-about-transcorp-hotels-plc-ipo/

Some analyst who I featured on my podcast http://web.nairametrics.com/new-season-moneymetro-investment-and-personal-finance-show-download-podcast/ suggest it probably will be better to buy Transcorp shares instead, considering that you also get the benefit in returns that those who prefer Transcorp Hotels also get. I also don't like buying IPO's as a rule of thumb, especially if the funds will be used for capital projects that haven't proven to be very viable, as in the case of the hotels using the money for a hotel that won't be ready till 2017.

Also try to read up the prospectus before buying and do let me know if you require further info. Cheers

You can create apps for either android or blackberry without a single knwoledge of codes, really. You can check out adromo for example. Or maybe appgeyser. Lemme know if you're able to come up with something

Nice one there. Do you know you can actually make these apps without any special knowledge? And I mean that...

You are just promoting a referral that only waste people's time. I have been earning sizeable income on fiverr through writing. Writing is not a problem. If it is, how do I come up with a long post like this. There are many tools to get this done too. I will continue the tutorials shortly.

This made money right? Its hard to wrap your head around. Isn’t it?

That’s because not many people can do it.

I read about one guy like that - a Nigerian who has completely “Changed the game”

You will be shocked to see how it’s done.

Enjoy!

Well, after all you have said, I make bold to say there's really no favorites with God when it has to do with sexes.

If you remember God is not into favoritism. Both are accepted equally before God. And loved equally.

If you disagree, maybe you will have to convince me double
