BlackBerry Enterprise Server Msg flow!!!!!
1. An email is sent to your account abc@ymail.com
2. Email arrives and is delivered to Mail Server
3. BlackBerry Enterprise Server compresses, encrypts (AES 256 Encryption), and forwards the message.
4. Email is forwarded to the BlackBerry smartphone via the (Internet and) wireless network.
5. The recipient BlackBerry smartphone receives, decrypts, and decompresses the email.

Two basic solutions:

Enterprise solution with BES
Using BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES)
Software installed on the customer’s network
Designed for business customers
Works with Ms Exchange Server

Prosumer solution with BIS
Using BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)
Internet based solution, hence no server software required
Designed for average customer
Uses various email accounts like Yahoo, POP3, Hotmail, AOL etc.
