who has been admitted into health informatics at Deggendorf Institute of Technology, European Campus, lets connect.
I am a Nigerian Health Information Management graduate preparing to study BSc Health Informatics at Deggendorf Institute of Technology. I would really appreciate any advice you can share about admission, proof of funds, scholarships, or settling in Germany. Thank you very much for your time.

Yes, it is possible to get a German study visa without a blocked account, but you need to provide an alternative proof of financial resources. Since you're applying for a Master’s program and want to bring your spouse, here are your options:

1. Formal Obligation (Verpflichtungserklärung) – Sponsorship from Germany

If you have a sponsor residing in Germany, they can provide a Verpflichtungserklärung (Declaration of Commitment). This means they take full financial responsibility for you and possibly your spouse.

2. Scholarship
If you secure a fully funded scholarship from organizations like DAAD, Erasmus, or your university, this can replace the blocked account.

3. Arrive First, Then Apply for Family Reunification

If you don’t have a blocked account or a sponsor covering both of you, another approach is to first arrive in Germany alone and then apply for family reunification for your spouse. However, this requires you to meet all the necessary conditions, including:

Having sufficient living space (housing requirement).

Providing proof of financial stability - Your work contract may be accepted as proof of funds, depending on the state you reside in.

Hope this helps
