I think the key is to think more in terms of transferable skills instead of in terms of courses. A career path where the only skills you can sell is knowledge transfer is a particularly risky one. A nigga with a first class in philosophy would have to do some type of specialisation in Law to be able to sell skills to an audience willing to pay for it and you could argue that his philosophy degree is pointless then

Let me remix , "Become world class in a skill that people are willing to pay for".

No movie can recreate (not to mention better) the vivid animated verbal paintings of Mario Puzo. Reading Puzo's books then seeing the movie adaptations would have you immediately feeling like something is missing. You can't place a finger on what it is, but you know something is missing. Dan Brown's books are the same. The movie adaptations of "The Da Vinci Code" and "Lost Symbol" were even worse.

Hats off to Brando and Al Pacino but, no, nothing beats reading the actual books.

Reading “La Familia" you can immediately tell the point at which Mario Puzo died and a ghostwriter was contracted to finish the book.

I disagree. Imagery is important when it comes to storytelling, but it is not everything. The acting of Marlon Brando and Al Pacino for instance can't be replicated on print. The background soundtrack of the movie and the emotions it triggers when watching it can't be transmitted through a novel.

The only way you can say The Godfather novel is better than the movie is if you are FAR more bibliophile than you are a cinephile.

Dawg, even the Typeface used for the movie title was iconic. The black and white with a tint of red already sets the tone for the story.
