I owe no one anything. My money is my own. They go rob us. |
In my 20s I took out a lot of debt. Spending more than what I was earning and paying off debt with debt. The debt collectors were at my house every other week asking for money and trying to take my furniture. Back in the days we did not have solutions to help us and nowhere to turn. At least these days when a person is under financial stress, they have some options. When I moved to SA to look for better pastures, I again found myself in debt. At least there was a debt remedy called debt review where they help you to pay less every month towards instalments. My problem, as updated now, I never asked how long does debt review last. It takes 60 months to help. Another thing I regret was trusting everyone and just letting them take advantage. This caused me to go into bad habits of trying to please my so-called friends by buying them gifts etc. No more now. I am almost 40 and financially fine. Do not do debt in your early years, it just messes up your life. |
These days the authorities know everything about you because of your cellphone banking and other ways of financial transacting. We have many clients at debt review SA that complain about their phones being monitored by the financial institutions. Online banking is not dangerous, but it opens you up to financial vulnerability. Our debt review clients have found that when they send money to a recepient or company that a day later they will receive advertisements on their phones for same products. Financial stuff is supposed to be private, the banking institutions should be investigated. |
These days mobile banking is becoming more secure, but criminals are also becoming more educated. It is commonly known that MTN has insiders who will port your cell number which will give a criminal full access to your sms system, which is your main security feature for the one time pin. The criminals have people working inside the banks. These clerks will provide the criminal with telephone numbers, identification numbers and bank account numbers for a small piece of the "profit". Once the criminal has the phone number ported, he changes the login details to the online banking and starts to transfer all your money to his fake name account. At our company we have had multiple consumers who needed debt counselling because of them falling into a debt trap by having to take out loans to cover what they have lost. The banks seldomly refund these poor people and they just have to deal with this. Not fair at all! |
In our company we used Cisco Engineers rather than Microsoft. Being in debt counselling and debt review we needed the type of certified engineers that would be able to handle the job. We found that Cisco certification worked out a lot more expensive than Microsoft, but with the latter we actually achieved a lot more. The Microsoft engineers working for us now actually knows more than the Cisco guys. Just my opinion. Microsoft Engineers gets paid more too. Something to keep in mind. |
