However as of 2 weeks ago, I sent the embassy a mail requesting for an appointment date for DOV collection, but I'm yet to receive a response till now, should I resend the mail?
Moreso I'm wondering if legalization can also be done at this same appointment date, or the mail for legalization should be separate?
I'll appreciate your responses🙏🏼

I went though the same issue last year. I sent them mails for legalization from april and they kept posting me, telling me they were booked or having technical problems. The last mail they sent to me, they said i should wait till January of the next year. So i just paid someone to help me

You can do both, you can authenticate at mofa( ministry of foreign affairs) while you translate. Authentication requires the original documents while translation requires a soft vopy of your documents for the translation. As long as you do both before legalization, it will be fine

What did you think I can do, I've been trying to secure a date for my legalization appointment at the Lagos Italian embassy for the past 2 months but to no avail.

It's really frustrating as I'm an Erasmus scholar with scholarship and my program is commencing by September.


I've registered on prenot@mi and sent email several times. It's really tiring and frustrating, the anxiety the thing is creating can't even make me focus on my daily tasks.

Someone helped me but to legalize the documents doesn't cost much, its settling the staff or the person going to help you. So you can budget like 30k. I did mine last year so things may have changed

I didn't want to respond to you until I was done. My agent helped me go to the consular office on the 20th of August but there was a mistake on my authentication so he was sent back and he got another date for on 30th September. My documents and do were ready this last Friday 4th Oct. He went and did everything himself.

Same here. I had to call them and they said there were technical problems. I found out from a friend who has a contact there that agencies are buying slots thats why they aren't attending to people.

I haven't gotten one yet. They said to wait until 24th of june to send a request for Appointment.

What date were you given for legalization at the embassy?

It means your transcript must be authenticated by the ministry of education and foreign affairs. It should have their stamp or signature.
But during application, they just ask for unofficial transcripts, its after you've gained admission that they would ask for legalized documents.

Good evening everyone, pls what does legalized translation transcript record means? I tried submitting an application to the University of Palermo but it's required to submit a legalized translation transcript record.

It wasn't much. I authenticated 3 documents at the ministry of education. Everything was approximately 1500 plus other charges. They charger per page. Then ministry of foreign affairs, i authenticated 4 documets ( there were 5 pages in total) every thing was less than 3000. You won't spend up to 5000 basically.

1. You are to book a dummy return ticket for a year e.g August 26th 2024 - July 25th 2025. Not two years!
2. You can book a dummy accommodation on booking.com, you can use a gtb card to do that. Do not pay for accommodation or flight until your visa has been approved!
3. Yes you need health insurance, you can book via Allianz website, it cost 24,922
4. You don’t need any travel agent, it’s strictly DIY
5. I believe you’ve authenticated your documents in Abuja, you’re to send a mail to the embassy to legalize all your documents including your birth certificate, then you can proceed to apply for a visa.

Hello guys,
Please I need your help. I recently got admission to a masters degree program at a private university in Italy. I'm currently translating my documents to italian. I have a few questions
1) concerning the return ticket stated in the visa requirements. Do I need to book a return ticket or can I just book a one way ticket because booking a return ticket in 2 years time seems unlikely

2) how do I show proof of accommodation. Do I need to pay rent for an apartment, show contract with landlord or just book a hotel reservation. Because i will land at the milan airport but my school is in cremona

3) do I need health insurance, if yes, what insurance companies do you recommend

4) does anybody know any reliable travel agency to italy that can help me with accommodation

I sent a mail yesterday requesting for an update but no feedback yet.

The application deadline for the programme that I am applying for is January 15th 2024.

Please when did you get the application fee waiver from McGill?

Also I got an email from MCF for UBC stating that if you don't get an email by 22nd of December 2023, the application is rejected.

I got the application fee waiver on the 14th of December 2023. I sent my application for MCF mcgill on the 1st of December 2023
