We all refer to something as 'Bible of something', meaning excellent reference in a field e.g that book is the bible of journalism. Similar for 'mecca of sorts' which we all know what it means.

Here was a man addressing people in the Muslim state of Kano, saying everything has been altered except Qur'an. Does it take extra-ordinary intelligence for anyone to know that what he meant is that the only thing that has not been changed is what is dearest to Kano people. If GEJ for example has said that to people of Rivers, who are all Christians, using Bible in this case, would this have made this kind of headline?. Let's be faiir to this man for once.
