Is your girl willing to learn igbo? Try to teach her and gradually she will learn.then when you visit your mom she can communicate a little and gradually she will pick up the language. Your mom will also appreciate that the lady was able to adapt.

My number one concern self is if the language barrier was your mother's only reason.

Yes, ryt now to d best of my knowledge is d onli barrier she's holding on to. And its owing to d fact dat most marriages around her are of couples frm difft Languages and d worse is 2 of dem are broken marriages,,evn if I've tried to giv her examples of those stil in d marriage da are of difft languages,she stil remains adamant,, tellin me she has said her own..
I knw i need or i am to make decisions of my own,, but Broda dis mumsy mehn,, Am all she has today, dnt knw hw to make dis work.... Neva knew language ws gonna b a barrier cos i once discussd it wit her, she dint object, mayb tinkin i ws joking....

Before thinking about breakup... First ask your mother why she is against your relationship and then put 2 and 2 together.

I had similar experiences my self, I asked my mom and the response I got was not satisfactory , I proceeded with the marriage, she did come around after a while. As I type this message, she is here in my house talking to my wife and carrying our child just right now at this moment.

Always remember this, we all love our mothers but the bottom line is, we are the ones to stay married with our wives/husbands and not them.

Actually the recruitment shouldn't have take this long before the first shortlistment.

Talking from experience with NA..and NPF six weeks after the recruitment has closed they normally shortlist.

I remember how I was asking for past questions and joining what'sapp group during immigration recruitment,after every every I was not even shortlisted,it was painful shaaaaaaa. I won't request for any past questions or join any what's app group until I have been shortlisted,i don't want to be disappointed again.
