Nairaland / General / Re: Eze Ndigbo Of Lagos:how Can You Be A King Of Your Village In Another Man’s Land? by deekaykay: 9:47am On Oct 22, 2015
I think the Afeniferes are working on it and there will be a stop to the insult on the tradition of the Yoruba people.

The King rules every individual in his domain and no 2 kings can reign in the same territory.

They should abolish this crap and respect their landlords!

People with open minds will see this as constructive. The froward people only see Tribalism!
Sports / Re: Revealed: Mikel Reject Captain Band After Musa Substitute by deekaykay: 2:10pm On Oct 09, 2015
If a coach has decided on who he wants as his captain, u either take it or you move. That position no be by age.. it's by leadership qualities and commitment. If you love your country, you stay and fight for it.. Swallow your pride, and prove your worth. It seems he was hanging around for the Captain band.. He lost d band, and remembered he was supposed to leave. African ego @ its peak!

Mikel has mumu ego as well, and he has shown which side his loyalty lies.. obviously not the national team. We know some of them come to play for Nigeria to stay relevant and amass caps.. not for the love of the country.

Oliseh should just work hard, scout for Nigerian talents, and replace d mumu loyalists.. two wrongs don't make a right. And Enyeama should stop raking in sentiments. This is the National team! It is for the country, and it is beyond anyone. Maybe Oliseh should have been a little more modest and diplomatic, but he's the coach and he bears the brunts. If the team performs poorly, no one would sack Enyeama.. bt the coach..

I just want the Eagles to fly.. however it's done, I don't care!

Ok.. bye!

Hi Wonderful VO

I must confess.. this forum has calmed my sleepless nights. Calling the number on customer care service has not been fruitful, and the emails don't get replied on time. Whoever came up with this idea has done a wonderful job of easing our anxieties.. and kudos to the VOs keeping the flag flying! Una well done..

Ok.. that said, I'm warming up for my interview and I think I'm better armed with information.. say 80 percent. Lol.

Dear VO, my fiancee is sending down the affidavit of support. It should get to me 4 days before my interview. However, we just would like to know if there are other documents we might be needing that she cld send alongside the affidavit of support.

I hope my questions aren't spilling off boundaries.. grin

Thanks VO

Hi VO.. Hw r u doing ds hour?

It's me again.. *grin*!

I have an interview for the 11th of Sept but I put my intended date of travel as Dec. 15th because I'm a doctor working with some primary health centre and I'm trying to help with some outreach programs till November. Does this have any 'not-so-nice' effect on my standing @ d interview? We plan to marry in January. Am I in order? Lol

Also, I was denied a B1/B2 visa in 2013 when I was trying to visit my present fiancee.. the VO I met then was nice, and she explained the visit has some romantic link.. so, she wld be refusing! Does this spell bad for my K1 interview next week?

Thanks for the patience and honesty! God bless you much!

Thank you so much. That was a quick response, VO.. I'm so so impressed. Thank you.

Meanwhile, can I bring a scanned copy to the interview as my fiancee is in the US, and I'm here in Nigeria. We met in London in June but I didn't know the AOS will be needed. We thought it was only needed for adjustment of status.

Thank you so much. I like ur sense of humor too.. I have always thought VOs were like some Thriller movie characters.. hehe

Hi VO

Thanks for the good job you've been doing..

I hope I'm not going to irk you by asking this question that you probably had answered before.. I would just like to know if I need to come with a filled financial affidavit of support form for my K1 visa interview. I also will like to know what happens if we can't get it notarized before the interview even when it's ready.

Some said the affidavit of support is only needed for AOS. I'm a bit confused.

Thank you.

Hercules

I didnt finish d survey, bt i did a few. Got stuck at a point cos it was hanging.. the subsequent page wldnt load. Bt i think if u got that survey email, they have made a decision, and mkst likely, a good one. My other friend got a survey mail during his last application. He got the visa. Also, the decision mail from teleperformance came in d same day the visa was issued by UKVI.

So, just do the survey. It wont affect anything, bt it will help dem serve u and others better in d future.

I hope dt helps. Prayer helps too.. ok, i fasted too. No jokes. Lol

Hi everyone
I was always sneaking in and reading posts on here... I learnt a few stuffs, and I must say thanks to everyone who comes on here to share experiences... Anyways, I applied for a 6 months general visitor visa on march 20, 2015, and i got a decision after 6 days.. mail got in on d 31st. I opened it. Omo.. refusal! Reason, i didnt put documents supporting i have a second job.. ok, i am a doctor earning salaries from 2 hospitals. Bt i decided to put documents for only one cos d other one is a part time job.. i tried to be silent on it, bt it reflected on my acct statement. I was pained.. so, immediately, i reapplied. Finished application on april 1. Took it to tls in abuja on april 7, nw with all my docs. Everything! Got a decision mail on the 14th april. Got the post via courier today, 17th April. Gbam... Visa issued.. Thanks yall. I hope dis encourages everyone.

Do i add that they sent me a mail about some survery 2 days ago b4 i got my visa. I felt that was a good sign cos i dont think they shd be tryna get me pissed if i am refused again, and they r needing my help for a survey....

Anyways, i am happy... i hope to travel soon.
