Me: I’m heading to university of ***** to pursue Ph.D. In Electrical Engineering
Start looking into the system and looking of my i-20 start deleting sth and retyping and using the mouse and he start reading stuff and started typing

Vo: When did you complete your education?
Me: I completed in July 2021 and graduated with first class( straight Ph.D.)

Vo: what are your plans
Me:I plan to work with the council for scientific and Industrial research as a research scientist. I intend to implement a project based on my past research publications related power problems in Ghana. This project aims at developing a reliable renewable energy grid system in Ghana. I will also be able to use the knowledge I gain to design sustainable power supply for green homes for my family’s real estate venture.

Started erasing and typing

Vo: interesting ! How will you fund your studies?
Me: I have been offered a GRA to work on **** project which Is funded by the US department of Energy. It takes care of my full tuition fees , health insurance and living expenses
Vo: I’m approving your visa and blablabla

My case was a bit complicated
1st attempt I wrote I was unemployed
2nd attempt I changed to I was employed not knowing they have access to 1st ds160

3rd attempt I maintained it as employed and found an explanation to it

On ds 160 reason for denial I highlighted on my strength to set the tone down for the interview

The vo did more reading and typing than talking

I really prayed a lot and fasted a lot. Hope everyone here have an approved visa
