P.S I want to be like @Airsaylongcon when I grow up, helping other NLNG hopefuls through the process, so I might as well start now, even though y’all are my competitors 🤭😂
Naaah, we're not competitors, we're colleagues grin. See you at the top bro.

lol! That story is not one I’m keen on sharing. What I learned though is that sometimes you think something is the be all and end all and when you get it it’s almost like “That was it?”

Today I’ve been up for 8 hours trying to get some AI stuff working on AWS. And e no gree. And I go drag am until e gree. If I had been in the business, I would have been doing something in Supply Chain (which was what I was doing at the time). I don’t know if I would have been happy doing that today. Time and chance I guess
Hahaha, this is interesting and it once again proves the statement that says "Man's need are insatiable" lol

I'll like to know though, what was it like working in Supply Chain, was it a full time desk job? or did it involve a bit of traveling?
I also heard that NLNG has a good remote culture for the business guys, where you necessarily do not have to be physically present at the job each day, how true is that?

And finally, depending on how much information you are allowed to share on here and how much spare time you have, could you GIST us on what your day to day work life was like during your time working there?

Thank you Sir.

A friend got in last year for the O&M trainee; he did induction online, although they still did physical when he got there august last year before they flew them to Bonny, and then he started training at LBS

For the abroad training, you're actually correct; I once worked in a company that does training for OG guys and have met several of NLNG's senior staff there. That was around 2022, so one of them told me, "Initially, NLNG paid them in dollars during his own time as GT, but things have changed now due to the naira depreciation, but still, their pay is still very good. When you enter, you literally won't even think of resigning. If you would resign, it's either because you went to start your own company or you moved to major IOCs, and when they go abroad, they pay them both their salary and the usual lump sum of allowances abroad.

"He said when he came back, lol, he entered the bank with huge money, and all the staff were like, 'How did this guy make so much money like this?' till they saw his ID. We still chat once in a while, but there's nothing like "PLS HELP ME GET IN." He told me point-blank in 2022 to enter with Connect; it's almost impossible. Things might change a bit this time around, but still, the NLNG process is always FAIR. If there's any company in Nigeria that does recruitment on a fair basis, I'll rank NLNG 1.
Very interesting. I love it when such information is dropped here as it keeps the thread lively, and heightens the anticipation in the hearts of all those waiting to get in, myself included.
Shoutout to Mr airsay too, for always confirming the validity of the info dropped here.

What I observed from the personality test, which should also be transferable to the AC, is that it was definitely prepared by occupational psychologists. The whole process is tailored towards helping you expose yourself or your "true color" to them lol.

@corporatehitman

Your feelings are valid and I felt same after my assessment. But I’m a benefactor of miracles and trust me not once but umpteen number of times. The job I have today, it was more like fate cos I can recall during my 2nd assessment (50 questions in 12 mins) my laptop froze and barely had 8 mins to complete my assessment. I even noticed my camera went off and that was a red flag already cos the assessment was being supervised via teams… I was about sending an email for a reschedule where I got an email that I’ve progressed to the next stage. I recall during my first interview even a call came and disconnected my network and couldn’t join in again… amidst all these I still got the job. During my undergrad days as well… so many courses I thought I fvcked up I still ended up getting an A. So when something is yours Yh, just ensure you do ur part and leave the rest for God.

You’ll make it.
Feeling bad is normal… but keep praying and hoping for the best… no room for pessimism cos being pessimistic won’t change how you’d feel if u still don’t get in so why don’t you rather be optimistic and pray bout it
This right here is what I call Faith.

I see. I wish I could have your faith.
Hahaha, it's not as cliche as it sounds. All I believe is that when I do my best, I'll get in.

Can you elaborate more on your last sentence? You've already gotten in?
It's called Faith.

This is my second post on this thread since November last year.

The value being offered here sometimes makes it easy to just be a spectator, lol. I hope to be more interactive during the remaining part of this recruitment process. I have already gotten in btw, I'm just going through the process to make sure it materializes.

I feel we should expect news soon, let's say next week. What do you guys think?
I am also really grateful for those who documented their journey here during their own process. I'll try my best to do the same.
