You are the one giving yourself unnecessary pressure. Any girl that will appreciate your little effort will stay. It is not all lady that want to date or settle down with someone that his finances is not stable.
If you are looking for GEN Z to date and settle down with you are on the long thing. Look for a mature lady that is working, any little thing you do for her she will appreciate

Romance / Re: Life After NYSC: What's Next? by deewhydoski(m): 4:02pm On Feb 12
Naijatask:
Good day guys.

I'm a serving corp member currently serving in kaduna state and would be finishing my service year in a Month time.

Now, my question is: did you stay back in the state you completed your youth service and searched for a job, or did you went back home to your parents?

For me though, I'm loving it here in kaduna state (I'm from Niger state, Minna precisely).

Also, it's literally my first time traveling out of my state to another state, and it's also my first staying alone (I completed my degree in Minna, from my parents house for that matter 😔). So, it's my first time getting freedom.

Now the thing is, I had a boss in Minna (where I finished my IT from) who wants to employ me in his estate firm (I studied estate management), I also received a call from my dad this morning that the civil servant recruitment portal has been opened today and I should register.

Now, I don't really want to end my life in Niger state (like I literally grew up there, schooled all my life there).

I know most people will be willing to jump on both offers (citing the unemployment rate in the country).

I have a digital skill in web development (React frontend developer precisely), but I've not really had luck with getting a job.

I actually applied for cyber security science and was given estate management instead, so I'm not keen on really going into practice even though I graduated with a good grade (strong 2:1).

What do you advise I do at this point? I really love kaduna state (maybe because it's my first time traveling out to another state?).

And wouldn't want to go back home.

Also, I feel like I'll grow more if I leave my comfort zone, and not going back to my parents house sad.

Ps: I'm 24, and would be 25 this year.
You better go back to Minna and collect that civil service job. That civil service will give you enough time to learn skills in IT. The job won't stop you from during remote job for Frontend. That 33k still dey shark you, by the time you stay and Kaduna and you didn't see any reasonable job for three months you will understand.
Many opportunities dey your front you still dey ask questions. Come and ask us that stay 1 year at home looking for job after NySC

As long as you continue to pay police men peanuts, nobody should expect the best from them. The minimum wage of police men should be N200k. When you pay people a living wage, many will be content with what they have.
If you like pay those people a minimum wage of #500k, they will still commit crime or collect bribe

Hey 🤠

Although , this discussion is out of thread but we are still same Nigerians and we have to constantly be positive towards our nation .

1. I will support @Denc that praying for $1 to reach N3,000 is wishing Nigeria the greatest woes that would lead to hyper inflation or whatever and eventually lead to a situation liken to one nation in Africa where they use wheel barrow to wheel money meant only to buy a loaf of bread 🙄

When Americans wake up ,, they says God Bless America , why can't we Nigerians follow suit ?

3. We or our parents were born in Nigeria , kind of schooled in Nigeria , worked a bit in Nigeria and garner all our western sakara (advancement , ideas, swaggers ,etc ) in Nigeria and got the opportunity to travel out of Nigeria ....Are we not suppose to even thank and pray for the great Nigeria ?

Best Wishes 🙏
Exactly what I told him

It amaze me when some people will just come online and be saying some people are poor when they are not the one feeding the person or clothing the person.
For someone to be on this thread and applied to 8 universities in US for PhD the person is not poor, get your fact right. Just because you have small dollar you don't want us to hear word again.

Yes you might be financially ok, you might afford it but your level of reasoning is very poor. Even people that have hundred of thousand of dollar are not praying for the fall of the naira. Don't carry this your level of reasoning enter US o

This is just the beginning. By May, 2024 it would have gotten to N2000 per dollar.

Nigerians should brace up for more hardship. This is just the beginning.

More hardship and sufferings coming your way. You’re free to continue with “it will favor me and my family”

Continue in cowardice. You will suffer well
All you these igbo self
If I know this is how you guys will be behaving I wouldn't have voted obi self. Why bringing curse on the country, we are all in Nigeria, if you are praying for calamity on the country we will all suffer it together. We all buy in the same market. Why can't we strategize and win in 2027 instead of lamenting up and down

Hey 🤠

There is no dress code for US visa interview but the general notion is that if you 're going for F1 visa dress as a student .

1. F1 (Bsc) applicants may be over looked (as a teenager ) if they dress any how .

2.F1 (MSc) applicants are expected to dress in accordance .. you can wear English or native but moderately and not flashy.

3. F1 (PhD) applicants are expected to display the highest decorum . You can wear English or native but you have to dress as if you re going to face panel of professors .

Best Wishes 🙏
Where you get this information from?
Your mode of dressing doesn't determine the success of your visa interview. Just dress moderately don't over too dress whether you are a MSc or PhD applicant. Person wey wear palm, t shirt and trouser don get white paper before. If I am the one going I will just put in my native attire and palm...nothing concern me it is not do or die
