WHAT HAVE YOU COME HERE TO DO?

By Daniel Samuel Katalyst

I cried all night, in the dark, from the smoky thatch of my hut
Drenched with blood, sweat and tears
The blood of my son, my daughter, my children

I looked for mercy but there was none
I needed a savior but no one came
The butchers were butchering, not cows nor goats, no, not pigs but my seeds!
What have you come here to do?

Have you not mocked me enough?
Why do you stand there flaunting your failure and incompetence like a badge?
Your negligence is lifted like a worthless trophy
What have you come here to do?

We fought for our lives but we were not strong enough
They slain us with the edge of the sword
In cold blood, in our sleep
Burnt our carcasses
We were helpless
What have you come here to do?

We are a people of peace, fending for ourselves
We didn't hurt no one
We thought you could protect us like you vowed to
What have you come here to do?

Where's my child
Where are my babies
I'm all that's left
And they seek to kill me too
What am I living for
I have cried until I have no more power to weep
What have you come here to do?

When the lights went out
When networks were cut off
When the security men left us alone
When strange men started multiplying amongst us
We cried out for attention but you didn't hear
What have you come here to do

Take your face away from my presence
Let me bear my pains alone
My only crime is that I'm born in this country
I have lost everything
The life I now have is of what use?
Come quickly, come on riders of death, finish me off for there's no life left to live
But before I die, please tell me...
What have you come here to do?

Have you come across this tiktok viral sound by a Rwandan woman EVERY DAY I NEED THE BLOOD OF JESUS?

Well, if you haven't, it is everywhere on tiktok, YouTube and other platforms.

The stature of the woman, her facial expression, her humming style, the lyrics and most importantly, her pronunciation of every word in that song has turned it into a form of comedy for a lot of content creators.

But here's what I have learned from her ministration!

The woman whose name I can't find is a living testament to the scripture that says "But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

Look at her, probably without a formal education, her spoken English is next to nothing, no exposure to the beautiful and intelligent things of this life, no fancy church, no bible school, no six piece suit pastor presiding over her, she doesn't understand rhema, no theological education and certificate.

She probably doesn't speak in tongues nor has she been caught up in the mount of transfiguration. She hasn't ascended to the third heavens. Maybe no one has thought her about the PUSH prayer.

She may not be familiar with the deep realms of the spirit where the deep calleth unto the deep.

The eschatology of theology has not been explained to her. She hasn't seen the 7 eyes of God nor transcended into the inner courts of glory.

She probably haven't read the bible cover to cover. She doesn't know about the different versions of the bible that exists. If at all she has read the bible, it might be the one translated to her local dialect.

Who is this woman?

She's the Gideon to whom the angel said to " go in this thy might". Irrespective of how "mightless" she is, she went.

She's "the people" to whom Isaiah asked to Arise and shine. She didn't know how to, but she chose to shine her little flickering light.

She's the nation in whom God searched for a man to stand in the gap. And she said, if you can use a short woman, here I'm.

Maybe a peasant from the back side of the desert, all she has ever heard was that "everyday she needs the blood of Jesus, because is good!

And that's it, she internalised it, she believed it, she made an anthem of it to constantly remind herself like the woman with the issue of blood that we overcame the devil by the blood of the Lamb and by the words of our testimony.

She's a soldier, one of the remnants with a pure heart who's not ashamed of the message of salvation. A true soldier and the guardian of the final frontiers. A watch woman upon the watchtowers, sounding the alarm, not slumbering, not sleeping.

THE PEOPLE SHALL ARISE

(By Daniel Samuel Katalyst)

Impunity, mutiny, tyrany
the three cord whip
dangling in the hand of the "big boss"
injustice, brutality, intimidation
the spikes attached to the whip
we are subjected and silenced
made to hide in our matchbox houses!
Cruelty...
Spreading like a dreaded disease
seeping through the pores of a strong mind
ravaging it beyond repairs.

Everyday we are whipped
beaten with many stripes
but we shall arise
like the bees we shall sting
like the bees we shall build our combs
like the bees we shall pour out honey
the people shall arise once again.
Crack your guns, throw your gas canisters
the "unstoppables" are rising
from the North, East, West, South.
From the creeks, ghettos, hamlets and desolate places.

A people that wants more!
A people that want truth and justice
kill them, shoot them, lock them;
the dream lives on: fairness for all.

Like 'roaches, ants, giants-we shall arise
truth is their weapon, vision is their badge, love is their song, and freedom is their cry.
Look beyond the hills, as the sun rises, the people shall arise!

MY MIND IS MADE UP

(by Daniel Samuel Katalyst)

Spill my blood not my tomorrow
Undaunted,
Unafraid,
I made a comeback

Tear my skin, break my bones
My mind is made up.
If my tears ain't enough
I will add my blood

If you run out of ink, dab on my blood with your thumb and paste it on the ballot paper.
By all means let my vote count

Scare me, scar me
My mind is made up.
I am fighting...
Not for what to eat or wear
But for my children
For my neighbour
For my country.

There's a generation coming after me...
They deserve better
There's a future to defend

I can't turn back now
Its better to die fighting than be a coward
Here I stand, defending my final frontier

Give me back my land
Give me back my pride
Give me back my hope
Give me back my dignity
Either you give it or I take it
My mind is made up.

Look beyond the hills...
It's business unusual

DIGITAL REVOLUTION AND YOUR SURVIVAL

Do you remember when your dad bought the first TV? A huge analogue box that displays only in black and white, many years ago?

Well if you were like me, you should remember because at some point I was almost the TV remote?

But then one day, many years later I came home from school and decided to watch the TV but couldn't find the big box anywhere.

At first my heart jumped into my mouth thinking we have been robbed. But then I looked up and saw something flat hanging on the wall.

I kept looking at it like a UFO that dropped out of some alien ship until dad came and told me that that was the new plasma color tv. Here! He hands the remote over to me and showed me how to operate it.

Cool! Wow, this really cool, look dad it's colored! I said with smiles and amazement all over my face.

I was excited with the new TV and how it works but even more excited that I am no longer the remote.

Some years ago there was a global concern about the depletion of the Ozone Layer.

We were told in a lay man's understanding that the layers on the Earth's stratosphere which absorbs most of the ultraviolet radiation (heat) from the sun is wearing out. And the resultant effect will be a burning heat.

Environmental pollution mainly from the use of fossil fuels is said to be the main cause.

Fast forward to 2020, few weeks after the world was shut down, a new report came that the Ozone Layer is healing.

That's some good news there. At least I won't have to be moving about with an umbrella on a sunny day.

But with that good news comes some changes. The world has realized that to save our planet we need to invest in renewable energy.

With the current fall in the oil price, Elon Musk the Tesla giant responsible for electric vehicles will easily get license to push his cars to other countries.

Vestas, Siemens, NextEra Energy, Inc. Suzlon and other big names in renewable energy will gain more global attention and patronage.

The global oil magnets are already looking into renewable energy as the next remedy for the world.

It is very obvious that renewable energy will be the fuel for digital economy.

You might find it extremely difficult to cope in the coming years if you don't develop a digital mindset and a digital skill.

Get yourself armed with digital skills else you might remain the remote of a black and white TV box in a world filled with color smart TVs.

@Felixman, my write-up has nothing to do with the 5G discussions and or speculations. I am also not referring to the official New World Order of one world government, economy, religion and all that.

The new world order here is a title that draws attention to itself.

I am only saying that a lot has changed and we need to brace up for it.

COVID-19 AND THE BEGINNING OF A NEW WORLD ORDER. Are you ready?

Have you ever stumbled over a beautiful, informative article online, such write-up that is well written that you don't want to miss any line from it?

I am talking about a well researched piece of information that is really an eye opener, you even want to bookmark it or simply copy it and past in some offline pages so you could read it again and again later ...

But while you are still reading and digesting every truth from that article, puffff! Your browser auto refreshes itself. And you are like, gosh! Na who send you?

Then you log in again and tries to find that beautiful, well written, thought provoking article but Alas! It's nowhere to be found.

You search and search, refresh the page a several times but all you could see are some new articles popping up.

No, no I don't want these you protested. I want my former piece. I am not familiar with these new ones and I don't know if it can get anything close to the one that disappeared. You continued protesting and searching for your darling article.

But after much effort in futility it dawned on you that it's gone.

Welcome to the New World Order.

In case you have not noticed, the world and everything in it has either changed or still changing.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has refreshed itself.
Browser history has been cleared. The cache too has been cleared, everything is "lost"

What were you doing before the pandemic came upon us and we were asked to go indoors?

Are you honestly expecting to go back and continue from where you stopped after the lockdown?

Here's the bitter truth, the world will never remain the same again.

We are coming out to meet a new world...

Everyone and every organization is discovering a new approach to doing things. The old slate has been wiped clean.

Some people have discovered that they could actually work from home even after the lockdown.

Some organizations have realized that they don't actually need all those staff reporting to work everyday with little or nothing to do.

People have realized that the skills, business, occupation they had before the lockdown is not really very needed because the world is going on fine without their services.

The greatest shocker of your life will be for you to keep thinking that the world only paused and you can start exactly where you stopped once the play button is tapped again.

My dear, hear this, the world have been "formatted" like an old memory card. Nothing is in it anymore.

Make a mark for yourself by inputting some pleasant and needed file into the memory card.

Upload in it the kind of music you would want to listen to after the lockdown.

A lot have changed in the past few weeks.

Some jobs will be lost and new ones will be found. Some businesses will fade away and go into Oblivion and new businesses will be created.

Some services will no longer be needed while some will be on a very high demand.

Read the handwriting on the walls. Like Johnson Spencer advised in his timeless book, who moved my cheese...
"Smell the cheese often so you know when it is getting old".

There was a tiny man in the Bible that did something that I really liked. Am sure you must have read the story of Zacchaeus from the Bible.

Yeah, that short tree-climbig tax collector of a man. The one that climbed the Sycamore tree to see Jesus.

Here's a lesson from his strategy, he didn't go to where Jesus was. He went ahead to where Jesus would be.

He didn't go to where the opportunity was, he didn't take the popular path. He took the uncharted territory and created his own paths into the place opportunity was heading.

Hey, buckle up. Learn where the world is going to. Don't be stuck in the old world.

The world knew who you were before the lockdown, the world also saw you go into a lockdown, the world is waiting to see what you will come out with.

It's okay if you went in empty, don't come out empty.

Few days from now, maybe weeks, the pandemic will be gone, we will all open our our tiny Noah's Ark doors to step down into a brand new world.

The world is already divided into two sides...

Those that will come out of the ark and exclaim oh my God!

And of course, those that will step out and say: hello world!

SOCIAL MEDIA ABUSE: Innocent Errors with Daring Consequences.

While scrolling down my Facebook news feed this morning I stumbled into a video of Funke Akindele (Jeniva) that was shared by one of my friends.

What I don't know is when exactly the video was made.

Was it before she was convicted or after she was convicted? That I can't say for sure though she mentioned that "yesterday was her husband's birthday", meaning she made the video a day after the husband's birthday.

In that video, she took about 3mins to explain what happened and how she did not consciously flout the law.

She explained further that some people (friends and crews of Janifa's Diary) that lives outside Lagos that were "trapped" in the estate where they carry out all their shootings and soundtrack due to the recent closure of all Lagos boarders decided to come together as one family to celebrate her husband.

Good intentions, bad timing though!

She then said something that provoked this write up.

SHE SAID SHE MADE THE MISTAKE OF UPLOADING THE VIDEO ON THE SOCIAL MEDIA.

That's it!

She wasn't snitched on, neither was she busted by any of the law enforcement agencies. She simply gave herself away.

Social media can appear so common a place but it is a very powerful thing.

It can build and cast down, it can kill and make alive, it can destroy and it can construct.

The social media makes use of the GIGO principle.

Garbage in, garbage out. What you put in is what you get out.

Despite the "freedom" on the social media platforms, I still believe one should be cautious and responsible about what he or she posts online.

Yes it's your timeline, it's your page, it's your wall and it's your account but be guided.

A family was once robbed and luckily the robbers were apprehended and upon interrogation, they revealed that they were following the woman's posts on Facebook and they got to know when the family was to travel and where they were traveling to.

Honestly some social media posts are unnecessary. In most cases, we give ourselves away too much beyond what we can control much later.

Most times it starts as an innocent, harmless post until it gets into the "wrong hands"

Many years ago, before social media became the new diary, people used to get angry and can even sue you for reading their personal diaries without their consent...

Today, on the contrary, people would get angry if you don't read, like and comment on their "open secrets" they post on the social media.

A lot of testimonies, opportunities, breakthroughs that should have ended in praise actually ended in tears and regrets because some people revealed their good news on air too soon.

So next time you want to answer the ultimate question on Facebook, WHAT IS ON YOUR MIND? You'll want to think it through and clearly before hitting the send button.
Celebrities › MAFIA MARKETING: How To Use Controversy To Your Advantage by Dejs(op): 8:34am On Apr 07, 2020
MAFIA MARKETING: How to Use Controversy to your Advantage

It's no longer news that Funke Akindele and husband has pleaded guilty to flouting Lagos State social distancing law for throwing a house party with more than twenty people in attendance.

The couple were fined N100,000 each and a two weeks (three hours each day) community service.

That's quite interesting.

While I am not in support of anyone breaking the law whether by omission or commission, irrespective of one's social status, there's a whole lot you can learn from the Akindeles as a smart entrepreneur.

Now, talking about the cost of running an ad, how much does it cost to run a sixty seconds Ad on any reputable media? I'm sure your guess is as good as mine.

Now let's get back to Mafia Marketing...

So Mafia marketing demands you create a problem and sell the solution.

Now, for just 200k NGN, the Akindeles have within the past 24 hours become some internet sensation and one of the most searched personality on Google Naija.

Did she willfully disobey the law so she can become popular?

If you ask me na who I go ask?

But then, you'll agree with me she is having a fair advantage already and she can also play around the situation to favor her brand if she wants.

Of course, the Jeniva I know is way too smart.

For the past 24 hours almost all major media firms in Nigeria for once suspended other news on the Covid19 saga and beamed the light on her.

Even those who didn't know her have suddenly picked interest in her and what she does.

Her movies and TV series will most likely gain more traffic.

And you know what's next?
More money into her bank account. Lol

As for the community service, I don't know what it will be but imagine Jeniva and husband sweeping the streets of Lagos, 3 hours everyday for 14 days!

O boy! While you see it as embarrassing, I'm sure it will be the birth of a new TV series or a cinema show. (If you know you know).

Las las, na you go still buy ticket for yourself and your babe to go watch hanty Sheri!

And oh, what if this was actually a post-lockdown preparation?

Indeed mafia marketing has been working for a lot of people and in different ways. Even in Nigeria here.

Remember Allen Onyema? The owner of Air Peace.

He used Mafia Marketing in a positive way to launch his brand and business exponentially when he volunteered to airlift stranded Nigerians from South Africa for free during the xenophobic attack.

With that act alone, he won the heart of so many Nigerians. And even more patronage for his business.

Remember, for Mafia Marketing to work, timing and strategy is everything. The moment you pull the wrong thread, you're a gunner.

So next time you see Jeniva on the news, just know she is a Mafia boss lady fronting her career. (LOL of course you know that's a joke).

In the end, I still appreciate our law enforcement agencies and the courts for not treating this with kids gloves. With such swift actions, I believe we still have hope in our judicial system.

As for me I still de think of which positive trouble to cause.

Please stay safe and stay out of trouble.

Health › Like Corona Virus Like Fear by Dejs(op): 10:44pm On Mar 31, 2020
LIKE CORONA VIRUS LIKE FEAR

Following the global trend in the past few weeks one needs to be really scared and careful.

The world is shutting down. Humans are indoors. There’s food shortages with little or no money in circulation among the have-nots of most countries.

The media is doing a great job at updating us with breaking news almost on per-second basis.

Audio clips, voice notes, pictures and videos are making the rounds on social media platforms, both warning, informing, advising and updating those receiving such messages on the situation at hand.

The COVID-19 pandemic has become the single biggest piece of news globally.

Religion is shut down and with places of worship. Education seems to have failed. Science is confused. Governments are defeated and everyone has run into their matchbox houses, gnawing in fear while expecting to hear the breaking news that will end this nightmare.

We are all glued to our various means of information receivers like the spectators listening to a football commentator waiting to hear "it’s a goal!!!"

We want to hear “breaking news, the cure for corona virus has been found!

Me too. I want to hear this more than anything.

If for nothing, so that our gallant doctors, Nurses and health workers can return to their families and loved ones and I can also give and receive hugs and handshakes without being scared...

So I could sit in a meeting again with my co-workers, bosses and colleagues as nations of the world crawl out again like a snail out of its shell after it met an obstacle.

While we all wait for that single piece of good news, we should make every effort to stay alive.

It is okay to stay indoors, isolate and maintain the over emphasized "social distancing". It’s very important to wash your hands like a thousand times a day, and use hand sanitizers and nose mask as often as possible.

But above all, it is even more important you fear not!

Not because there is nothing to be afraid of but, remember it is possible to escape Coronavirus, and not get infected but still die out of fear of the unknown.

Fear is a killer. Fear torments. Fear is a web that destroys.

On the social media today, people are busy spreading fear in the name of sharing information.

As at the time of writing this article, it is on records that 837,027 people have been infected. 41,245 deaths recorded, 30,964 are in critical conditions and virologists have warned that it could get messier in the following weeks.

Geez! Am scared to my bones!

But wait a minute. There are some good news they didn't tell you. Yes, 174,523 have recovered and discharged while 590,289 are in mild condition. Meaning that their cases are not critical, they have higher chances of survival and would be possibly discharged soon.

Coming down to Nigeria, of the 139 confirmed cases, 9 have been cured and discharged. There are also a handful of inspiring stories shared by survivors of COVID-19. But, most times, what we read online is the fear-fueled news shared by the media.

It is true that if we saved one, we can save all. If we won before, we can win again.

The world has conquered many plagues in time past ranging from the Antonine plague of 165AD to the bubonic plague of 1346-1353, then cholera, Flu pandemic, HIV/AIDS, SARS, Ebola and now Corona virus.

As we triumphed over the previous outbreaks, we will triumph over Covid-19.

To our government I say be strong.
To our medical teams, bravo!
To our philanthropists, well done.
To the infected, fight on, don’t give up.
To the dead, rest in peace.
To the living, fear not. Don’t die. Have some faith and hold steady.
