We are looking for a motivated Front-End Developer to be part of our existing software team and make an impact on the exciting work that we currently produce. The individual will work closely with our back-end developer and will drive forward our digital presence in front-end development, continuing to develop effective user interfaces on the company website and mobile apps released to the public.

The front-end developer will also be responsible for creating innovative solutions to web and mobile apps issues to help make the applications more visually appealing and enhance usability.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Implement responsive web design principles to ensure that our company website and applications renders well across multiple devices.
• Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Ensure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Meet tight deadlines as required.
• Ability to take ownership of any website upgrades and discuss such with the development team.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

Skills and Experience:
• 2+ years in a front-end development role
• BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Understanding of the entire web development process, with an emphasis on front end design and development
• Experience of creating custom, modular front-end code in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript, adhering to established software practices.
• Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, VueJS, ReactJS.
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, Mercurial, etc.
• Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite, Photoshop and content management systems
• Established portfolio of work, even if the candidate is a recent graduate
• Excellent communication skills – both technical and non-technical.
• Ability to manage a diverse and unpredictable workload.
• Experience developing native applications for iOS, Android or Windows Phone
• While the role will be primarily design-based, a willingness to delve deeper into coding would be advantageous. Knowledge and some demonstrable experience PHP & MySQL will be desirable.
• Good understanding of SEO principles.
