ACRI:
The price of a brand new Peugeot vehicle was around #6000 naira at SCOA, my Father bought one around late seventies and early eighties. They had payment plans. I drove those vehicles cos I grew up to meet them.

University of ibadan was feeding students at dinning halls then and they had their laundry done for them too in the seventies.

The current political class destroyed this country shortly they took power in the eighties-bubu and nineties. Lets hope they fix it
The good, good old days...N6k for a brand new Peugeot? Really sounds unbelievable.

TravelRe: SAFETY ALERT! The Lagos Blue Rail Line Is Electrified by DelonZap: 1:21pm On Oct 17, 2022
That means the Lagos Blue Metro Line will run on electricity...Nice one!

Can't wait to take a ride on it early 2023.

NaijaphiliaBlog:
The Lagos Blue Line will have 13 Train Stations and, unlike the Diesel-powered Red Line, will be operated on Electric Motor Units (EMUs) consisting of self-propelled carriages using electricity for motive power.

This means that the rail tracks will be electrified and that it will be life-threatening for anybody to attempt to cross the rail lines.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: JOBS: Dangote Petroleum Refinery Application Portal by DelonZap: 1:21pm On Oct 15, 2022
Bit by bit, step by step, Nigeria will get better.

It is a cause for rejoicing that this type of project has come to reality in this country.

No matter your perspective, the refinery will employ many thousands of Nigerians directly, and millions indirectly; it will have a multiplier effect in the economy, and will add infrastructural value to its environs.

Kudos to everyone that helped bring it to fruition.

TravelRe: MOTORING NEWS: Fuel Scarcity Paralyzes Commuting In Lagos by DelonZap: 8:32pm On Jul 11, 2022
DeFuturePresido:
Nigeria currently produces about 1.42 million barrels per day of crude oil. We have proven crude oil reserves estimated to be worth 237 years cover of local consumption at present levels.

The question then is this: Why are Nigerians going through all this incredible level of suffering?

The short answer is: CORRUPTION!

Every election cycle presents an opportunity to change the narrative. Year 2023 is almost upon us. Let us get our voter's cards ready, let us utilize our intelligence and common sense in choosing who to vote for, let us change Nigeria's narrative for good.

It shall be well with our beloved country!
We need to break the cycle of the same old breed coming back to run things... we also need a positive change of attitude among the citizens!
