Music/Radio / Re: How Do I Get These Throwback Songs? by Delvindy: 9:25am On Apr 10, 2021
Njezi:
There are some songs I'd give anything to get a link of where to download them.
1. All the songs in that MTN yellow CD back then.

2. That Nigerian 1999 Youth Championship song.
"E bata go obodo oma"

3. I don't even know who sang this song that goes like this: "Sweet, sweet, sweet banana sweet, have you taken banana all" and children's voices would scream "Yes!!" (I need this one like mad)

4. A song that goes like this: "Will you be there eh, will you be there eh, everybody is coming to town, so come let's go, come let's go, aye ye ye, Trading bouncing, aye ye ye."

Please links or any clue on how to get these songs? I'm going crazy here.

I just found the link to number 4. I had to share because my search brought me here to find you were searching too. lol

Guys, pls what is this issue of sending back passport to Pretoria for the second time? Anybody encountered same?
They will only ask for your passport again if you got denied visa at first and you had to reapply, like it happened to my friend.
Sending your passport there is just for verification.
Did they ask for your passport again?

@Concept. Pls, I'd like you to please attend to this.
I'm in talks with someone who's gonna help with my NZ visa application. I'm positive on this ayways as I'm hoping to to mke the journey in May, but I just want to ask a question that bothers. From your own experience, having been able to travel to NZ, Please, is it compulsory that one with NZ e-visa apply for transit visas before embarking on the journey since its obvious there's no direct flight there. My reason is that i've considered transit visas applications a huddle a few times when i try my hands on some long distance travel plans. While some would say it is not necessary since i'm not entering the transit country (only stopping over to change flights), some would say, I won't even be allowed to board any aircraft without a transit V on my passport.
It this true or its mere rumour. Kindly put me through on how to route my flight such that no case/challenge of transit visa would arise.
I need you to pls clarify/advice me on how to go about this. Thanks

NB: Departure is Lagos
    Destination is Auckland, NZ

If you cannot get someone to help you, you can do it yourself. Quite straight forward. Read the guidelines, prepare all the documents needed, start your application. Attach every document you need to proof your reason to go to NZ, study there and that at the end of your study, you will be leaving.

As for flight, there is the Lagos - Ethiopia - Singapore - Auckland route, this was the cheapest as at when I wanted to travel.
Obviously, before booking I checked Google just to be sure I did not require transit visas through these countries.
If you fly through Australia, you will need a transit visa.
There is a more direct route as @cconcept mentioned.
Lagos - Dubai - Auckland.
Consult a flight agent.

Hello everyone!

Pls what type of medical is required for potential phd students? Is the medical to be done before the visa application?

Secondly, if a phd student gets a permanent job offer from an employer during the course of his studies how would he handle that?

You need to do full medicals at Fatayi-Williams Clinic, Lagos. It is done before visa application when you book an appointment at the clinic, you cannot submit your application without it. It costs 85,000 Naira.
All the details for this are written in the visa application guidelines on the website.

As a PhD student, you are required to put in 40 hours a week for your work. So if you get a permanent job (which usually requires 40 hours a week too), you need to decide how to manage both. It is not even advisable. You can do part time and weekend jobs instead.

Goodday house, will like to know if is posible for one to get Phd full scholarship from a newzealand university without submiting a publication alongside with the application for full scholarship.

Thank you.

abusaibu@yahoo.com

Yes.
I recently got a full scholarship for PhD. I don't have any publication.
But, I have presented a poster at a seminar and I did posses some of the skills that were required by my supervisor's research grant.
All I did was submit my documents and proposal to my supervisor, who accepted me and then the department forwarded my credentials to the school.
Alongside my admission application, I applied for scholarship and I was successful.
They say once your supervisor accepts you, it is usually not much of a big deal to scale through the other processes. They say. I don't know.

Thanks very much for helping me out @cconcept. Please do you have an idea of what I can submit to show that am a bonafide student to the immigration New Zealand. Secondly, apart from stating in the statement of purpose my strong reasons that will make me to return to my home country after completion, is there any document(s) again I can submit to further proof it more.
I really appreciate your efforts.

Normally, for that bonafide thingy, they require documents to show socio economic ties like job, landed properties and/or marriage.
For me, I am not married.
So I submitted employment letter, letter of approval of study leave from my employer, letter of introduction by my employer to the embassy, you can add payslips too.
I don't have any properties so I submitted copies of my father's landed properties, his international passport data page and also added my birth certificate showing his name as my father to proof we are related.
I also added family pictures to show all my family is in Nigeria...I did also state this in my cover letter.
I added scans of previous visas I have obtained to show I have a good travel history.
Lack of proof of socio economic ties is what delayed my visa.
Please add whatever proof you can, if you have a business and it is registered, you can add the certificate from CAC.
Whatever strong reasons you have included in your letter, add document(s) to proof.
Goodluck with your application.

Congrats.
Does your scholarship cover your tuition and living expenses?

Yes it does.

Oga Law, congrats on your admission.
Relax, it is not that difficult. What you need to show is evidence of scholarship, your own bank statement showing you have at least $1000-1500(i will suggest you don't totally rely on the scholarship documentation alone as pof). That is why most applicant show $16500..the pof is $15,000 but you add the extra to cater for the return flight part.

If you are working.... I advise you add all your employment documentation, and possibly an evidence of you returning to the work.

Wow! This is helpful.
But I have submitted my visa application already.
For onward travel, I just attached the scholarship letter.
Even though I am working, my parents will be sponsoring my flight ticket.
I am about opening a dom account today though, maybe I'll move cash there and keep incase they require stronger evidence. I hope it is not too late.
I am so anxious about this visa thing, I pray the process will be smooth.
