Definitely, only average and below average students would come to you for lectures cos I don't see any reason why an above average student would need extra help. It's terrible, however, that you mention the lecturing of certain students as a yardstick for all NOUN students.

Arguably, NOUN is the only university in Nigeria where you CANNOT BRIBE a lecturer for grades, unlike most of the glorified full-time schools.

I have several degrees both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and I was fortunate to have passed through NOUN and I can attest to the level of academic independence the school nurtures in their students.

It was okay... Made friends with people who were interested in actually getting a good degree and not just a pass. I studied Computer Science, I already was exposed to programming and stuff, so it was quite pleasant especially for CBT exams and portal management.

The Staff have the same lackadaisical attitude of all Federal Government workers in Nigeria - but the good thing is that you can do everything remotely except exams that you'll have to be physically present for clearance and writing.

They introduced Virtual exams one time (write remotely) - but any pim for background you're flagged for malpractice (proctored exam) - so most people just did physical.

Thing is, just like the HND debate, many people still have sentiments towards NOUN degrees. So, if you're looking for a school with Big Name and NYSC Allawee means something to you, NOUN is not for you.

depending in the area that you stay,I will advice you to sell the bus and get a tricycle,the amount of money made by keke is not too different from the one made with KO rope,but the difference is the maintainance cost.it is cheaper to maintain a keke and it does not spoil as frequently as the minibus.you can get a fairly used keke for 700 to 800k.or less depending on who you meet.
