Let me educate you: what 137(1)d states is that as at the time of the election, any sentence or must have been served.

What d& e mean together is that a contestant must not have been convicted for an offense in the last 10 years and any sentence for any offense in the previous 10 years must have been served as at the time of an election. If you were convicted for an offense in the previous 10 years you must have completed your sentence. If you actually had any brains section 137(1)d would have pointed you in the direction that people who have been convicted can actually run for office so long as they have served their sentence.
