sooperrescue: I am only concerned about if it happens because I receive calls in the day on the highways when accident occurs and I am most likely going to tow it back to the city and na your money go waste. The 180km is not Nigerian speed limit. We already have official speed limit, that's the bad spots on the high way. Highlander can not get to 140km without vibrating and in some cars, the engine will trip off warning you not to do pass yourself. When you see those inter state transport buses involved in road crashes caused by burst tyres, you will understand the underlying reason that motorists uses the C tyres thinking that it is stronger than other tyres and so you find Sienna also using C tyres. A lot of Mercedes owners have complained about their cars tripping off on the highway when their tyres cannot withstand the speed of the car. If by looking at the tyre from my office, I could tell you that it was a traction A, and an S rating, you should know that there is nothing more to talk about. I am not ruining your business of selling your tyres by bringing to your attention that the tyre is not supposed to be bought by a supposedly enlightened guy who is anxious to pass the tyre to another guy. . alright bros. Let's throw logic and facts into the back seat cos you tow cars. I hear you chief |

You say not a summer tire This strawman you're building ehn...nawa oo. Where the winter markings in the images I uploaded sooper? Also note the sentence here... it is widely recommended that you go for B or higher. When experts use the term widely recommended, that carries weight, right? |
Autos › Re: Sold by demolagilbert(op): 9:05am On Oct 15, 2025 |
sooperrescue: We're talking about the tyres you intend to sell and not the brochure. Is your tyre B traction temperature b tyre? Is your tyre S speed rating? This tyre is not a summer tyre and not ideal for our roads. When accidents occur, we never focus on the causative factors like the tyres which is the only point of contact between the car and the road. If you have an S rating tyre on your car in the summer especially in countries that enforce strict tyre regulations, you can be deemed to be suicidal as the car will explode on the road. This tyre can not withstand heat above 25-30 degrees. Those speed ratings are the speed limiters. A Ferrari can never be fitted with even a V tyre rating ditto a Benz or BMW. You got a wrong tyre for your car. It's everywhere in the market and even G wagons are being kitted with such tyres again, much ado about nothing. The fact is I have shown with evidence that it is an all season, all terrain tyre, right from Dunlop website. I have also shown that Temperature B tyres are not unacceptable, with a reference provided from NHTSA, at least they are not a Nigerian regulatory body. I have shown that the tyres are well within the legal speed limit, for both the speed rating and temp/traction rating....even Temperature C tyres, which this isn't. Fact is Temp B tyres are only expected to show stress on sustained speeds of above 180km/hr. Shikena Lastly, this is not for a Benz or Ferrari, it is for a Highlander, Honda Pilot and some other cars that call for it. I bought the full set when one of my BF Goodrich tyres got damaged irreparably, meaning I have one already fitted to the car, for over 8months now, and zero issues. So no, I ain't returning it, and I know it will serve whomever will use it and doesn't plan to consistently do over 180km/hr in their daily commute. |

sooperrescue: This tyre is not suitable for Nigerian roads. You can't use a temperature b traction b tyre in Nigeria. From the look of the tyre, it is S speed rating. Return it to the seller I disagree cos the facts say otherwise. You say a S speed rating is unacceptable, on what basis? You say this tyre type is not suitable for Nigerian roads, on what basis? If you are saying the manufacturers of a time tested brand don't know what they are saying, you have to come to the table with a whole lot more than just an opinion. What is the legal speed limit in Nigeria again? |

We have sole distributorship rights for Dunlop tyres in Nigeria, and we have our flagship store at 43, Akin Adesola. We also have Yokohama and Bridgestone in a good number of sizes.
You can however save a good deal of money, around 30-50% buying at wholesale prices instead of retail at the store, in three easy steps which I will facilitate.
1. Let me know the size you want, and you'll get the price. 2. Transact directly ONLY with the official company account. 3. Go to 43, Akin Adesola to pick-up.
Simple as that.

nedekid: Oga, on gumtree a UK trading site just as jiji, I saw a cheap 18 year old car for £300. The owner wanted to add to his ticket money traveling to the US, so wanted to sell for nothing. £300 is normally pocket change few years ago, so I did a costing. Buy £300 Miscellaneous £100 Ship £1000 Ie @2150 to £1= N3,010,000 Clearing N3,500,00 Total=6,510,000! So on a dead cheap 18 year old car you spend 6.5m. If it is a normal 5-10 year old car costing £15k you need atleast 40m to ride such vehicle! Apc, Tinubu have completely destroyed the purchasing power of nigerians. Even banks, big companies can no longer buy brand news vehicles, not to talk of ordinary citizens. Accidented vehicles bought on copart some of us use to look down on before, now we cannot even afford them. Na so o. I used to take pride in selling clean title back in the day. Back then, cosplay was giving flooded/accidented car sellers wotowoto on this platform. Now, people can't even afford a flooded or accidented crap car, cos the cost of shipping and clearing will just blow everything up. Even used cars are out of reach. The situation is funny and sad at the same time. |
