A female student of the Redeemers University in Nigeria is being punished for missing Sunday church service. According to report, she and some other defaulters are being sent to rehab, a place where the offender will go for six months without attending classes and the full school fees will still be paid, and after the offender is done, he/she will repeat the class and pay another fees. It was also gathered that the idea to send these students to Rehab allegedly came up today and the affected students were informed today to wait till next week Monday to get the final verdict on their cases. It was learnt that the girl, identified as Stella couldn't make it to church because she was having menstrual pain that morning. Stella is a final year student of the institution and if the verdict is not in her favour, she'd have to pay another school fees which is not very cheap. Redeemer's University is a private university in Redemption City, Ogun State, Nigeria. Established in 2005, the university is owned by the Redeemed Christian Church of God. http://m.naij.com/news/56250.html |

Ahead of next month's Championship for African nations in South Africa, brilafm.net has exclusively scooped that the Ethiopia football federation have requested an international friendly with the home based Super Eagles, as they also look forward to conclude their preparations for CHAN. The Nigeria football federation has already responded in the affirmative, and will get a confirmation from their Ethiopian counterparts today. Reports are that if the agreement is confirmed as expected, the Ethiopians will arrive Nigeria on Friday, January 3rd, and play the game at the Abuja national stadium on Saturday, January 4th. The Super eagles of Nigeria played out a 2-2 draw with Nigerian league champions, Kano Pillars on Monday in Abuja as they continue to intensify preparations for the tournament. The second leg will however come on Thursday before finally meeting Ethiopia on the 3rd. www.brilafm.net/World-exclusive-CHAN-bound-super-eagles-get-Ethiop/18076523 |

safarigirl: I feel bad for him, the CHAN would've been great for him, and who knows? Keshi could've taken him to the World Cup too. Neymar wasn't dumb to have remained in Brazil after the World Cup that brought him to limelight, National assignments always increase the value of young players. Hope this isn't the beginning of the end for the kid, that's why it's not good to make hasty decisionsthis is what greed 4rm his fathers side caused...i wuld av loved to see him @d chan.. |
With Kelechi Iheanacho's move to Manchester City seemingly on the collapse, Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has ruled out any possibility of recalling the 2013 FIFA U-17 best player. Keshi expressed disappointment at the development, adding that Iheanacho would have made the team to the CHAN tournament in South Africa. “Am not sure that can happen; there is no chance of it because he has lost almost a week since he left us and we don’t have time on our hands” “When he was here he was already picking up, doing well and he would probably have made the team with the prospect of more exposure for him at the tournament” Kelechi who is still in Nigeria is in a big dilemma with the Manchester deal still on the cards but the player is reluctant to join such a big club as he fears little playing time. He is now mauling over a deal with Portuguese giants FC Porto. Keshi also reiterates that Kelechi is still young and should not be pressured into joining a club as big as Manchester City. “It is a shame that we cannot have him and he cannot go to Manchester City but I am disappointed because he is a good player and he should be with us right now” he told brilafm.net |

"We’re still pleading with Kelechi to join Manchester city", -James Iheanacho Kelechi Iheanacho's father, James, says he's unaware of the recent developments involving his son. In a chat with brilafm.net, James Iheanacho however confirmed that members of his family are trying to persuade Kelechi to join Manchester City after the 2013 U17 MVP changed his mind about joining the Etihad outfit. “I don’t know what is really happening but by Thursday, I will find out more about this but what I can say for now is that family members too are still pleading with him to sign for Manchester City” Investigation by Brila Fm has it that Kelechi is in Lagos and hasn’t traveled as scheduled last week to Manchester city as Kelechi now wants a move to Portuguese giants, FC Porto. http://www.brilafm.net/-We-re-still-pleading-with-Kelechi-to-join-Manches/18046008 |
