dahoney1: Good Morning Guys. I'm currently Processing my admission in Ukraine. i paid for the invitation letter on Sunday. I go an acknowledge mail this morning that the fund has been received but the problem now is that my passport will expire in November. the lady said I should either send a new passport of she should continue the processing the invitation letter but I have to leave Nigeria before 15th of April. Please is it possible for me to get the visa and leave Nigeria before 15th of April it's not only about being too risky, the fact remains that you can't get a visa and leave 9ja b4 that april. you ve not even secured a date for interview and that alone will take you time. you better calm down and apply for a new passport. |

amadeeva28: Hi Everyone
Happy new month.
Please, has anyone been able to book an appointment recently.
Still experiencing the same issue since last month..
The portal keeps saying no open seats available booking appointment is fucking stressful. your agent should be in the best position to notify you once the vfs opens slot else it will be very difficult for you to know because if they open slot, it will not take more than 1hr 30 mins or latest 2 hours and they will close it immediately! i guess it's been done once in every week. so you can see how stressful it is... |

amadeeva28: @Denry yes it's accepted. You wouldn't have any issues but to clear all concerns, I would advice you call the airline and clearify.
There is no point going to the airport to get a ticket when you can call them directly to clear every doubt u av.
Booking directly with the airline would be much more convenient for you since it's your first time. However, bear in mind that the prices will be different, it's usually much more expensive when u buy a ticket directly with the airline.
Whatever airline ur using, call their customer service to clarify on if it's advicable to travel with a return/oneway ticket with a Ukraine type D visa.
Best of luck thank you so much my dear |

amadeeva28: @Bettymi I think Qatar Airways is a much more better option as their layover is 3hr 20min (which is very incase there is a delay in lagos you be on a safer side)
Turkish airlines currently have 1hr layovers at Istanbul which is too short, you wouldn't want missing your connecting flights to keiv.
To answer your question concerning buying a return ticket, i would advise you not to as it is not necessary and a waste of money. Call qatar and verify if you are still in doubt.
Attached is a flight itinerary for qatar and the price is not bad either please send me the address you used to search this |

ayobabalola: Please I need detailed explanation on how to book appointment. My agent is acting crazy. it's a little bit difficult cause you have to keep checking on the vfs website always to know when they open slots do that you can fill in your informations, chose an available date and pay for it online with your atm card so that the date will be booked for you. That's all. |

amadeeva28: @Denry I am sure of the information i sent to you because
1. I went to Ukraine in 2014 and that was the time i recalled travelling with a return ticket because according to my agent, it was part of the visa requirements. While i wz i was in Ukraine, I visited Nigeria during summer on two several occasions but not with a return ticket bt a on-way as it was very cheap.
2. The only airlines that you can travel with without needing a transit visas are Qatar, Emirates, Turkish Airways.
3. You are travelling with a type D visa, which is a student visa and not a tourist/buisness visa. Airlines can only request you to get a return ticket if your visa is not that of a student.
4. To clear your doubts, I would advice you to contact the airlines directly, they all have offices in nigeria and their numbers can be gotten online.
I hope this helps. Thanks a lot for the information bro |
