everyday in d papars there is one scandal about obj, yesterday he was sleeping with his daughter in law, today he waived 60 billion naira in tax for his friends and croonies,is the president of nigeria bound to fail or is it dat we have just be unlucky to have muppets for leaders.
nairalanders, respond
Could nigeria have actually done better with another leader, maybe ekwueme or somebody,or perhaps are our expectations of our leaders too high

seun i must say i am not impressed with ur attitude, you come across as if your opinion is the only valid opinion, whatever you like has to go, because you so happen to be the creator of this forum, it shouldnt account for your dictatorial tendencies.
for example d issue of sex, u just said nobody should discuss sex, why, what are your reasons, not because you do not like something should you then impose your views on others, we practice democracy, not autocracy.
pls do not be offended but think about it
also why shoudlnt we discuss rape, what is wrong with discussing issues of rape, since it is a social vice, i would recommend that u examine urself, it is easy to criticise govt officials, but you are guilty of the same thing

Me and a couple of friends are carrying out a research to see how nigerians feel about obasanjo, what are a our true feeling, do we despise him so much that if he passed away, we would have a party like we did when abacha died, or would we mourn him, or are we indifferent, we simply do not care, his death wont change our lives.
can i pls know the views of nairalanders on this topic.
it is research based for a unijos coursework

I have observed in d nigeria press, that they are very anti-obasanjo, everybody seems to hate him so much, i agree he was a total failure, dis is a mamn who could have been regarded as nigerian nelson mandela, i believe he wORST crimes were, his third term bid, the joke of an election, increasing vat and petrol price in d last day of his administration.
anyway dear nairalanders can i please have an honest view to the question that if obasanjo dies today, would nigerians mourn himor would we celebrate like we did when abacha died
PoliticsRe: Least Police Man Take Home Pay Is Now 26k? by denuda: 2:18pm On Jan 11, 2008
Nigerians are very funny, what is 26,000 naira in nigeria of today, would it stop policemen taking 20 naira on d road, hell no, we shouldnt decieve ourselves, anything what doing, it what doing well, a policeman would not risk his life for 26,000 naira, if he dies what happens to his family, the useless okiro was saying the family would get 500,000 naira, how pathethic, how much is it to rent a three bedroom in lagos. The police need a welfare package, good accomodation and 5 million for his family if he dies while on duty, except dis happens, we nigerians are just lying to ourselves.
I do not like policemen but sadly we need them, so we need to equip them properly.
