News on ground now says FG has stopped recruitments from Federal Agencies, that what should be doing now is replacements, that it should also be postponed too till COVID-19 something is over.

What's the situation on ground now at Unilorin, any latest Info? or has

OK, but I hope the delaying tactics isn't all about this IPPIS of a thing together with the just agreed new minimum wages , The reason the management has yet to arrived at a conclusion.

For like 2 months ago now immediately after the Interview and Test Screening, most of the Profs who are to decide those to be employed had been re-posted from their normal offices to different places. I guess this was deliberately done just because of this recruitment for them not to have a say.

Too much tense, let person know his/her stand Fa. Hope by January this expectations should be laid to rest.

I missed this interview, do I stil have hope? I never knew a mail has been sent to me since on Saturday, it was the prof that ws helping me that called me of my Whereabout today, I'm on my way to ilorin to see if I will get hope. I applied as non academy, the man was furious somhw that nothing he can do to it. Do I still get hope?

The University of Ibadan presently suffers about 1, 834 shortage of staff and which is making the few available staff overworked.

The disclosure was made by the Institution’s Vice Chancellor, Prof Idowu Olayinka, on Thursday in an address at the third stakeholders’ forum themed, “The State of the University”, which held at the multipurpose Hall, UI Alumni AssociationCentre on the campus of the institution.

The meeting was chaired by a legal luminary, Dr. Akin Onigbinde.
