He has been confirmed dead. He died while receiving treatment from an hospital in China. Catholic faithfuls in Aba are cold because of the shocking news. The demise of His Excellency (Bishop V.V. Ezeonyia CSsp) as he is fondly called is a big loss to the diocese. The puzzle now is what next? I hope and earnestly pray that the incidence in Ahiara diocese (a neighbouring diocese) will NOT occur in Aba.
