salawu5: Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,Indianapolis? Isnt doctoresparati in El Paso? You are very brave, from the email you put from doctoresparati it looks like they have to confirm your arrival. Please excuse me if I am wrong, is what you are saying is that you paid doctoresparati to get a letter from them to lie to customs and use at POE? |
firsttimer: Hallo my fellow Nigerians, hope the babies r kicking well and I hope all mothers are doing great? God is still on the Throne and God will see parents thru in this course.Hello Firsttimer, I hope I can answer answer as best to clear everybody's doubts. One thing I must point out is that the letter of medical responsability that they send is very thoughtfully written. The people who have enrolled know what Im talking about. It is a big help if you decide to use it, and it is an extra step thet they take to trying to help international patients. Here are the answers to your questions, If there are more, Ill try to answer them all as soon as I can God bless1. All very well, and it was included for myself in the obstetric package. 2. I followed the advice of one one the previous patients on this forum and expedited the birth certificate via vitalchek.com which doctoresparati has that info on the website. 3. Also, I got the information from this forum (god bless all the people that have contributed to this forum) and got an attorney to apply for the visa while in El Paso. I have to admit, when I told other patients here many were surprised. I didnt know if it was possible and I was ready to go to washington like everybody else. Fortunately that was not necessary. BTW, even the people at doctoresparati were surprised when I mentioed this was possible! 4. I think it was less than 2 weeks 5. If you move and do all things as you are supposed to, it is possible to have your documents (passport/visa) ready in 2 weeks. I wasnt in a big hurry and wasted some time so i ended up leaving a month after delivery. I think its always best to plan as if its going to be a month. Also, as many people have stated, houston and atlanta are not the best place to do your POE. I heard many stories about the officials returning anybody and evrybody they see pregnant from the Nigeria. Best options are new york (jfk) and dallas to El Paso. El Paso officers are great! Very kind and friendly, you will have no problem when you arrive to El Paso. |
Kayjay23: Thanks a lot Desertorange71! Again like Oliver Twist if you do not mind I have the following questions:Kayjay23, No problem, i hope i can help as many people on this forum as i was helped too. 1. I had the letter of medical responsability and was instructed to tell the truth by doctoresparati. Although i did have the letter i was not asked for it. Yes, a little bit of luck too, 2. The truth 3. New York, entry was very easy and i also prepaid my medical expenses which was very helpfull at POE because i was asked to prove my solvency for which I had my receipt from doctoresparati. I recommend that everybody prepay if possible 4. Yes. As stated above. I only paid the obstetric fees ($2500) 5. I arrived at 34 weeks |
Kayjay23, The invitation letter was my exact same problem since I had family and friends in other cities but wanted to use Doctoresparati in El Paso. Once you enroll you will receive a letter of medical responsability/invitation from them which is basically the same same but from a medical institution, although it does state in their website that nothing guarantees your visa (which I also appreciate the honesty). It doesnt make sense that someone would invite you and you not go so their city so this letter from them is also the best option. I will try to answer all questions as best as I can when i come back |
firsttimer: Good day to you my fellow Nigerians. I have taken my precious time to read from page1 to the very last page and I have been on this site for a while and I am so happy to be a Nigerian despite discouraging attitude of our political leaders. I seen people so passionate about helping others, I have read people arguing and becoming friends in the name of helping others, I have seen sincere people even with their personal disappointment were still able to come here and share their experiences. I honestly don't want to mention names because I wont finish the list,I can only ask God to continue to bless everyone of you guys.firsttimer, 1. Mobility was very easy, taxi cab service is available at El Paso International airport and always available by phone (although not through doctoresparati). From experience I recommend that you get an international drivers lisence and rent a car (although the clinic is walking distance from Intown Suites). I met other Nigerians there that rented car, although they also mention that they did get an international drivers lisence, but they were not asked for it at the rental place (also at the airport), so its worth a try if you dont have an international lisence. They told me renting car is about $50 a day, but I think its worth it even though some malls are walking distance too. 2. Although we did want to try the food in El Paso, (delicious, specially Mexican food) we also stayed at Intown Suites because we wanted to be able to eat in our hotel if we wanted to (rooms have a small kitchen). I do have to point out that the prices in this city are a lot lower than other cities i have been to so that was also a pleasant surprise. 3. Shopping was fantastic, there are several very nice malls very close to Intown Suites and we were there when they just opened a new one. Rodolfo (from doctoresparati) told us where everything was with regards to shopping and had some funny jokes regqrding that. They really go out of their way to accomodate the international patients. I have to say, shopping is a little too easy in El Paso ![]() 4. Yes we did stay at Intown Suites. We paid $168 + tax. We have family in other cities but even paying for our hotel, the prices and service are unbeatable. We are very satisfied with our experience. As you mentioned, you can tell from the begining just with the enrollment and the proptness of their response time. God bless all and may all experience a safe trip. |
wunmi38: Goods day all,I just came back from El Paso, TX after following the advice and recommendation of this thread. Thank the good Lord to all the forum members that have contributed, the experience was magnificent! I previously had my first child in the US but the whole experience was not good at all so I decided to do as much research as possible this time around. Thank you to all the members who stated the differences between doctoresparati.com and other hospitals as well as all the links provided in this thread where I was able to verify for their great service. After much research, my husband decided to email a few of the clinics and hospitals regarding our delivery. Basically, from the begining the people at doctoresparati were a lot more attentive and correspondence was immidiate. It also helps a lot that from the moment we contacted them and enrolled you can see that they know exactly what they are doing in terms of international patients, it was a big difference from our first experience in Atlanta. I think that this is definately the place to go if you want the best service at the most affordable cost (and they gave me an orientation when we arrived and talked about this, so amazing). I think that it is very easy to choose based on service, just email all the hospitals you are considerring and see which ones respond the fastest with the most accurate information, for us it was doctoresparati. |
