The aim of this project is to inspire others youths to take up interest in agriculture.


The first step of this project is paying the land lease charge. I paid for lands surprisingly i found lands in the month of August when i thought it would not be possible. I must confess this is not the time to rent lands so it cost a fortune getting them.

Now, rains have not started. This is September and the ground is rock hard. So, i took the tractor operator to the sites, show the sites to him and measured the land.


The final step of this process is measuring he land to ensure accuracy of the land size.

I am testing different farm practices on this journey. For example, i will not be applying pre emergence herbicides on 5 acres. I will also be creating ridges over 10 acres to guard against excess soil moisture.

I will be dropping day by day or week by week activities on the farm as I start the journey of cultivating 27 Acres of maize farm land.


The essence of this post is to guide others, especially youth that are planning to go into farming business. (Purely practical)


The project is cited across five different fields that altogether totals 27 Acres. The fields are in the same community in Oyo state.


Also if anyone has suggestions or contribution you can drop them as well for others to learn.
