Oando is set to drill 4 wells each at Qua iboe (OML 13) and Ebendo (OML 56) next year.
OML 13 has 900 million barrels of crude oil and 5 Trillion cubic feet of gas .
Oando’s ambition remains to quadruple production over the next few years.
Oando own the Oando energy service, a subsidiary of Oando which operates 4 swamp rigs and have invested over $450 million in its upgrade.
Production by Oando will be exported via the Qua iboe export terminal.
Part of OML 13 is operated by NNPC and a subsidiary of sterling oil. Production from the JV started early this year at 6,000 bpd and currently at 40,000 bpd. Peak production is expected to be around 75,000 bpd. |

Oando will be building a gas processing plant within OML 56, with a total capacity of 50 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCF/D), to be delivered in phases.
The first phase will comprise a 12 MMSCF/D modular plant, with an interconnection pipeline network of about 4km alongside other ancillary infrastructure.
OML 56 also houses the ongoing Kwale gas gathering system which is expected to process 300 million cubic feet of stranded gas a day. Gas will be transported via OB3 pipeline.
A part of Kwale gas gathering project has commenced operation and already processing and transporting 30 million cubic feet of gas daily . |

Omooloriredade: I struggle to see how Wale will fail to turn Oando at this juncture. He has the wind at his back.
Stumbled on a report that an extra 300MW is now ready to hit the grid from Okpai phase 2 leaving just 150MW till Q3 2025.
A back of the envelope calculation of Power companies using only one metric - market capitalisation.
Let's look at the Market valuation of listed Power companies on the NGX.
Geregu > OS x SP = 2,500,000,000 x 1150 = N2,875,000,000,000 Geregu Name plate capacity = 435MW Otedola factor and free float influenced valuation so grossly unreliable.
Transcorp Power > 7,500,000,000 x N360 = N2,700,000,000,000 Transcorp Power Name plate capacity = 2000MW (approx) 1MW = N2,700,000,000,000 / 2000MW = N1,350,000,000
Asssuming we can rely on this figure as an industry metric; Okpai IPP (1 & 2) Name plate capacity = 1000MW (approx) Okpai IPP (1 & 2) market valuation = N1,350,000,000 per MW x 1,000 MW = N1,350,000,000,000 Oando's share = 40% of N1,350,000,000,000 = N540,000,000,000
Since the FG has been keen to privatise power plants lately, I say Wale should whisper in Uncle's ear that he wants to buy the FG's share in the JV. Take bank loan and buy up the remaining 60% (FG will sell cheap ) , transfer to existing shareholders and list Oando power (Okpai IPP 1& 2) on the NGX.
OR
After buying up FG's stake, list on the NGX, either do a share sale to the public or a PP to strategic investors (instant profit) and pay down some of the outstanding bank loans.
Oando's situation is unique in the sense that, not only does it Oando a stake in the IPP, it also supplies gas to the IPP as part of the JV.
Disclaimer - Na just speculation levels o. Options suppose dey sha. A lot of irons in the fire. Wale say make we #BetOnOando I have been buying up the dips on Oando... I don't see how Oando can stay under ₦100 for long. Oando is at least a ₦180 stock. I am Betting on Oando |

For 2025 :-
Oando is targeting 100,000 barrels a day production.
First E & P is also targeting 100,000 barrels a day production. Infact they currently have a rig from shelf drilling and hope to increase production from 58,000 bpd to 70,000 bpd in the near term. They also plan to monetize 100 million cubic feet of gas daily from their assets.
Seplat production expected to more than double to 120,000 bpd in 2025. Hopefully, they also start gas production from their ANOH plant( around 300 million cubic feet of gas daily) after the completion of OB3 by NNPC.
Indigenous oil companies will be eating good in 2025. |

Isn't the 105 already a premium from about N40 market price when the deal wasn't yet announced NGX and the minority shareholders will determine their ideal premium price when that time comes. |

I understand they have a valuation of the Ultimate Target Company, that is $1.1-1.6bn but does that mean that is what will necessarily be paid or offered? I'm still yet to fully understand that part in the document, I can't see any mention of the final pricing.
We have pricing for the majority shareholder at about 105 per share based on the $838mn.
Also struggling to understand this line: "Considering the above different valuation methods, the Board views the pricing of the Acquisition as fair and reasonable", is this not referring to the above for the majority shareholder .after valuation, you will still need to pay a premium |
