According to him, the Fulani race produced Nigeria and there is no place where people will try to drive them away. He said: “They produced Nigeria. They produced the first prime minister. If they produced the first president, another president, another president, and so on, are they not the owner of the country? Fulani is ruling Nigeria and they must continue to rule the country forever. That is the truth.” Bodejo insisted that they don’t need anybody’s approval or permission to occupy any land in any part of the country. The Federal Government does not know the whereabouts of the Chinese doctors and technicians who came into the country to offer assistance in the fight against COVID-19. This was made known by the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire one month after the controversial arrival of the Chinese medical team. The 15-member Chinese medical team made up of doctors, nurses, and laboratory technicians, arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on April 8, 2020, with medical ekomiamiblog equipment worth about $1.5 million, and went in for two week quarantine period according to Covid-19 protocols. The arrival of the 15 Chinese doctors and technicians, had generated strong criticisms, but the federal Government had dispelled such fears of their presence in the country, stressing that they were in the country to help. When asked during a recent press briefing about the whereabouts of the Chinese medical team at the daily briefing, Ehanire said: “I want to explain first of all that I think not all of them were doctors and I heard that some of them are technicians, but they are staff of CCECC, the Ministry of health is not their host, so we can’t always explain what happened to them or where they are. “There seems to be a lot of interests in these doctors but they are the staff of a company and I think they are on the company visa. So I will be very happy if you don’t ask me about where they are because they are not really our guests in that sense. But we have been able to learn some things from them by interacting with them from their experience in their country, we shared ideas about what they did in their country in managing Covid -19.” Read more - https://www.ekomiami.com.ng/2020/05/15/nigeria-will-disgrace-you-we-dont-know-whereabouts-of-chinese-doctors-fg/

NO fewer than 23,000 people escaping violence in the Northwest have fled to neighboring Niger in recent weeks, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has said. The refugees were “mainly desperate women and children”, who – ekomiamiblog- had been allowed to seek protection in Niger despite border closures as a result of coronavirus pandemic, the UN agency said. The UNHCR added that an additional 19,000 Niger nationals in the southern Maradi region had become displaced inside their own country “fearing and fleeing the same insecurity in the border areas”. “Those fleeing speak of extreme violence unleashed against civilians, murders, kidnappings for ransom and pillaging and looting of villages,” the statement said. The numbers fleeing have almost tripled from last year when the agency reported the first influx of 20,000 people following an insurgency and banditry in northern Nigeria that killed hundreds and displaced thousands. The flight to Niger takes the total number of refugees fleeing that part of Nigeria to more than 60,000 since the first wave in April last year, it said. The latest have fled bloodshed in the Nigerian states of Katsina, Sokoto and Zamfara, the agency said. The deadliest attack in Nigeria claimed 47 lives in Katsina State, the agency said. This prompted air strikes by Nigerian security forces already stretched tackling a decade-long insurgency by Islamist group Boko Haram in the north-east. Niger is also beset by jihadist violence, notably around Lake Chad, where the borders of Cameroon, Chad, Niger and Nigeria converge.
