It has been uncovered that the forensic expert allegedly recruited by Mr Akan Okon to publish fake forensic reports on Pastor Umo Eno’s Senior School Certificate Examination, is a known indicted fraudster with several records of criminally related activities. Award winning journalist, Anietie Usen, disclosed that, “the forensic expert that SAHARA REPORTERS so lavishly quoted and relied on for their ‘breaking news’ is the same Jideoni Charles that most Nigerian journalists, newspapers and Television stations are familiar with.” Sahara Reporters had days ago quoted Jideoni as a forensic expert who exposed the lies about Pastor Eno’s Senior School Examination certificates; but Usen, a former general editor of NewsWatch Magazine disclosed that, Jideoni Charles is a confirmed internet fraudster who was indicted and paraded by EFCC. Akan Okon who is challenging Pastor Eno’s candidacy as PDP governorship flag bearer in Akwa Ibom state, is said to be investing heavily in sponsoring fake media reports against Pastor Eno. The publisher of a local newspaper in the State, The Mail Newspaper, has recently been invited by the police for publishing a fake report against the certificates of the governorship candidate, after the West African Examination Council had disowned the said report. Jideoni, the source of the current forensic report, is an impostor who previously paraded himself for a long time as both a “Professor of English and a Professor of Graphognomy (Handwriting Analysis)” in the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, until the University denounced and disowned him in 2019. The University had disowned Jideoni as a fraudulent character who was neither a lecturer or professor in the university, in the past or present. OAU in a statement through Abiodun Olanrewaju its Director of Public Relations had said that , “Having gone through our records, nobody bears that name, whether a male or a female. We do not have a record of anybody with that name who is teaching or has taught in this institution…He was never a lecturer or non-teaching staff of OAU”. Mr Anietie Usen also faulted Jideoni’s claim on his Facebook page that he was the “National President, Institute of Graphoanalysts , Nigeria. “Surprisingly, SAHARA REPORTERS does not know that there is no institute like that in Nigeria. My independent investigations, as a journalist, confirms that Graphology is the analysis of handwriting with attempt to determine someone's personality traits, NOT FORGERY. “Here are other claims made by the fake Professor Jideoni Charles to warrant the defamation of the character of Pastor Umo Eno by SAHARA REPORTERS and their paymasters. According to his (Jideoni Charles) Facebook profile, he is also the “Doctrinal Head, The Universal Philosophers' New-World, Author, 'The Universal Natural Laws', and Originator & CEO, JC WEALTHY GENERATION CONCEPTS, Consultant Numerologist, Originator, Onigraffiks writting (sic) system”, etc. “ From above, it seems to me that SAHARA REPORTERS actually relied on a soothsayer to tell them about Pastor Eno and his wrongdoing. What a brand of journalism! “However, it is the issue of the JC WEALTHY GENERATION CONCEPTS that landed Jideoni Charles and 12 others in EFCC jail in Ibadan for internet fraud and later, before Justice Nicholas Oweibo, of the Federal High Court, Southwest zone, Lagos, on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. “Jideoni’s arraignment was sequel to the EFCC’s damning findings about the activities of an illegal financial outfit Jideoni floated through which he allegedly swindled his victims of several millions of naira. One of the 12 Jideoni’s accomplices, Oyewunmi Toulope Michael, (aka Gold Crumb), however, opted for a plea bargain and pleaded guilty to a one-count amended charge of fraudulent impersonation. He was subsequently sentenced to one year imprisonment. Justice Oweibo granted Jideoni bail to the tune of N10 million and two sureties in like sum. “That was the last time Jideoni made headline news before he resurfaced days ago in SAHARA REPORTERS as a forensic expert and National President, Institute of Graphoanalysts, Nigeria (IGAN), a non-existent institute. “Before his brush with the EFCC, however, the same Jideoni as a writer of horoscope, had in 2012 got himself into trouble with some Nigerian clerics after he publicly proposed that ‘men should sample several women sexually before marriage” because he himself ‘had sex with over 350 women when he was active in the game” Anietie Usen expressed shock that any brand of journalism or publication would degenerate to the point of falling prey and being weaponized by fraudsters and shallow politicians to lynch and defame the character of an otherwise very decent, innocent and godly man like Pastor Umo Eno.

More groups in Akwa Ibom State have carpeted a senior lawyer, Femi Falana and other engaging in actions against the Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State, Justice Ekaette Obot, calling for an end to the insults. President of Afid Iwad Ekid, Mr Etienne Bob told a news conference in Uyo Wednesday that Falana’s recent utterances and actions were inimical to the growth and the long standing respect for seniors that the judiciary is known. Bob expressed suprise that a lawyer of long standing repute as Falana could join in instituting a suit against a Judge over a judgement passed on a junior lawyer who disrespected the court during proceeding. The president reasoned that Falana could have appealed against the judgement rather than supporting a junior lawyer who displayed unwarranted radicalism during proceeding, sued a chief judge and called on him to refrain from his actions which have began to constitute a nuisance to the prevailing peace in the State. He also called on Effiong, who is due to leave the prison next week to exercise restraint and learn how to obey his seniors in the profession inorder for him to grow and enjoy his career. In the light of the above, a group of like minds, Akwa Ibom Integrity Alliance says it is deeply grieved by the continuous projection of Akwa Ibom Sate and the State Judiciary in negative lights by persons who are deliberately out to drag the reputation of the people of the state in the mud. The group during a media interaction in Uyo, Thursday described as sad the current development since the take over of the libel suit involving Mr. Leo Ekpenyong by his lawyer, Inibehe Effiong. Giving a background of the case, Chairman of the group, Barr. Stephen Abia recalled that on the 27th of July, 2022, counsel to Leo Ekpenyong in the said libel case, Mr. Inibehe Effiong was sentenced to jail term of 30 days by the court for contempt. Abia explained that Ekpenyong's defense counsel had displayed gross disrespect towards the court, reason he was shown disciplined by the court. But Abia is worried that the incidence has triggered series of uninformed reactions, one being the institution of a legal matter by a group of lawyers against the Chief Judge of the state. Mr. Abia also called on the security agencies to be alert and close in on those who choose to hide under the guise of politics to plot mayhem in the state. "Without any equivocation, it should be on record that the said legal processes adorning the media space is completely misplaced. While we sympathize with Mr. Inibehe Effiong on his predicament, Mr. Femi Falana and Co. need be reminded that Mr. Effiong is not under detention of any sort, rather, serving a jail or prison term. Having made the instant conviction, the Judge is naturally functus on that matter. Is it not common-sensical that the right of a convict terminates the moment he his convicted, and would only be exhumed on appeal? The current move is, summarily, an abuse of court process" "The allegation that the Chief Judge has refused to release the Certified True Copy of the court proceedings is clearly only within the imagination of the speculators. Lawyers know the realities on ground, and know how to get court proceedings. It is the usual practice that the Chief Judge is under a legal obligation to give his ruling to the Assistant Court Registrar for certification to the applicants. I am sure Inibehe’s case cannot be an exception. The questions one would naturally ask at this point are: Is the Chief Judge responsible for the issuing of CTCs of judgments? Is there any express order from the Chief Judge denying access to the proceedings? Can we not, therefore, see that this is clearly an administrative function?" "Why the lawyers led by Falana, SAN, are out to sue the Akwa Ibom State Chief Judge beats one’s imagination. “Was it right for the young lawyer to question the constitutional majesty of the court? We are even so moved to ask whether judges in Yoruba land are usually sued for delivering judgments when such are not in favour of a certain party, or is Akwa Ibom state the Guinea Pig for wrong precedents? The media-hype-style of litigation commonly associated with some lawyers at the point of filing proceedings, and nothing more, is only meant to deceive the masses and laymen, and again, play to the gallery". On the case before him, the Akwa Ibom Integrity Alliance reminded Inibehe that 90 days await him to appeal against the judgement, and wondered why he resorts to instituting a case against the person of the Chief Judge. Abia maintained that the group would resist any attempt to belittle the state, warning those behind the plot to drag the state in the mud to have a rethink. "The truth we need to tell ourselves is that Mr. Inibehe Effiong has 90 days to Appeal against the judgment. That is the law. So, why this suit against the State Chief Judge? Again, lawyers know that the fact that you have filed an appeal in less than one month does not guarantee that the appeal will be heard immediately. We know this truth. We know the reality in appellate practice. This suit is, therefore, a storm in the tea cup, or trying to make a mountain out of a molehill! It serves only to impress the public", the group added.

The peaceable and tolerant disposition of Governor Udom Emmanuel has propelled all manners of insidious calumnious campaigns against his person and his government. For example, the allegation that the Governor is ordering the security clampdown on dissenting voices is very baseless and rather laughable. But that itself can best be answered by the court of public opinion, where every member of the public can see in Mr Emmanuel, a transparent and accommodating leader who has eschewed political bias in his administration of the State. This perhaps explains why a lawyer, Leo Ekpenyong, could throw caution to the wing and go all out to attack the personality of the Governor, accusing him of bribing some judges to secure judgement in 2019 in favour of Senator Chris Ekpenyong who had defeated Senator Godswill Akpabio. Today, it is quite sad and embarrassing that the plot by convicted lawyer Inibehe Effiong through outdated tactics to delay justice on the defamation suit against Barr Leo Ekpenyong can receive the signatures of 13 lawyers in the guise of suing the Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State, His Lordship, Justice Ekaette Obot over a demand that is purely administrative. It is evident that Femi Falana, SAN, and his co-lawyers do not mean well for Barrister Inibehe Effiong. Otherwise, they would have been more concerned about teaching him how the court works outside Facebook and other social media where his legal practice flourishes more to the point that he was already assuming the status of a self-appointed solicitor general on Facebook. It was this illusion that blinded him into daring a legitimate law court presided over by a State Chief Judge. It is worthy of note that on July 27, the court was entertaining the last witness brought by the prosecution counsel, and a certain reporter with Premium Times, Saviour Imukudo was caught video recording the session with his mobile phone. Everyone knows that this is clearly wrong and the judge ordered the journalist out of the Courtroom. Inibehe rejected all forms of persuasions to continue his cross examination of the prosecution’s witness, insisting that the court was an open court and had no right to walk out a journalist who claimed had the right to record proceedings. When he ran out of ideas on how to go about his case, he turned his nozzle on the policemen in the courtroom, alleging that he feels unsafe among police officers. Inibehe Effiong knew that the day in question was the day the NLC in Akwa Ibom joined in the solidarity strike with Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, and as such security around the court premises and on Wellington Bassey Way, was a bit more intensified to forestall a breakdown of law and order. Between Inibehe and the other members of the public who monitored the proceedings, who ought to have been afraid to see policemen? How can Inibehe be ordering the judge to rescind his decisions as if he was talking to a school boy? Imagine telling the Judge to rescind his decision on the reporter and to order the policemen out of the court? The action of Inibehe’s cheerleaders to sue the Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State raises teething questions about the sincerity and intent of the legal team. These are supposedly renowned lawyers who know court proceedings at their fingertips, and know that the pocket lawyer and Facebook solicitor was wrong to challenge the court and the Chief Judge by his utterances before the Judge despite repeated pleas and warnings by His Lordship that he should respect the sanctity of the court. When all efforts to remind him that he is a lawyer, and that he was in court not on facebook failed, he was convicted of contempt. Do Femi Falana, SAN and his legal team know that their client, Inibehe Effiong does not know how to use a simple expression like "as the court pleases?" Possibly he is the only lawyer in his generation that such expression sounds strange to? Be that as it may, if the convict was uncomfortable with his sentence, the proper thing to have been done would have been to approach the appeal court to appeal the verdict of the lower court. This is a known norm of the court. Alleging that the chief judge refused to give them the certified true copy of the judgement, shows how much they have lowered the sanctity of the justice temple. But these are people who should know, and of course, who know that the a judge is not responsible for issuing the certified true copies of judgements. This is strictly an administrative function, domiciled with the court registrar. Where then is the basis of suing the Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State on this? This leads to more questions for Femi Falana and co: Are they doing this because it is in Akwa Ibom State? In all of Femi Falana's outstanding legal practices, where is it recorded that he sued judges in Yorubaland for delivering judgements that are not in his favour? Or is Akwa Ibom State another guinea pig for wrong precedence? Except, the lawyers are implying that what is good in courts and for judges in Yorubaland is not good for court and judges in Akwa Ibom State. Otherwise, this watery suit against the Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State by this team of lawyers is a height of embarrassment to their legal profile. We should not even forget that the case Inibehe Effiong was coming to defend is a weighty defamation of the governor of Akwa Ibom State, where his client, a loquacious lawyer, Leo Ekpenyong alleged that Justice W.O Akanbi and Justice Ebetu were bribed by Governor Udom Emmanuel to the tone of $1.5m, to procure judgement in favour of Dr. Chris Ekpenyong in the 2019 senatorial elections. If Mr Inibehe Effiong is bereft of defense lines for his client, then he should not resort to these well-rehearsed dramas to delay the course of justice. How long will such a drama last? This cannot save him and his client in the evidently bad case. Sadly, we are witnessing insults by an emergency lawyer who wants to use one attack on a judge to cover an earlier attack on other judges. And senior lawyers are supporting them because it is in Akwa Ibom State. In as much as we agree with Falana and co that Mr Inibehe Effiong had no budding tutelage as a lawyer, his ignorance does not mean that anything goes in court because it is in Akwa Ibom State. Judges in Akwa Ibom State deserve as much respect as their colleagues in other parts of Nigeria, including the ones that are highly revered in Yoruba land. If a lawyer cannot insultingly question the authority of a judge to give orders in courts elsewhere in Nigeria, then such should not be tolerated in Akwa Ibom State. We are counting days for Mr. Inibehe Effiong to exhaust his sentence so that the substantive case of defamation against Mr Leo Ekpenyong, instituted by His Excellency, Mr Udom Emmanuel could resume in court. We advise Inibehe against further deliberate delays of justice on the matter again by similar unskilled innovations of court delays. Not even the ill-motivated suit against the Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State by Falana and his 12 disciples can stop justice from being done on the matter. The suit is a wrong gospel by Femi Falana, SAN and his twelve disciples. Such wrong gospel cannot win any legal soul in their favour and that of their drowning client, Mr Inibehe Effiong. All we want is that justice should be served, and timely too. We are waiting patiently. Essien Ndueso, a journalist writes from Eket, Akwa A’Ibom State

…Urge Justice Obot to Transfer Case to Another court A group, Akwa Ibom Integrity Alliance has described as condemnable, scarilegious and an abuse of democracy, recent unruly behavior exhibited by a lawyer, Barr. Inibehe Effiong in court during an ongoing libel suit instituted against one Mr. Leo Ekpenyong. The group has also urged the President, Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Olumide Akpata, Esq to caution Inibehe Effiong accordingly, following his fragrant disregard to decency in the court. Addressing newsmen, Sunday in Uyo, Chairman of the group, Barr. Stephen Abia who frowned at what he described as Inibehe's contemptuous conduct, posited that Justice Ekaette Obot transfers the matter to another judge, to avoid the continuous insolent behavior of Mr Effiong towards her. “To avoid a continuous desecration of the temple of justice of which the Honourable Chief Judge remains the chief priest, especially, taken for granted that our learned friend, Mr. Inibehe Effiong, may not in truth be purged of such unfortunate contemptuous displays towards the court in cheap attempts to play to the gallery, we most humbly seek the relief of the Honourable State Chief Judge to consider being recused of the matter as he continues to jealously guard and protect the sanctity of the justice delivery machineries in Akwa Ibom State.” The group enjoined members of the public to disregard what he observed as false information being propagated by those he described as miscreants. Recall that Akwa Ibom State High Court presided over by the State Chief Judge, Justice Ekaette Obot had last week ordered that Inibehe Effiong be remanded in jail term for one month over contemptuous and insulting behavior in court. The Judge had ruled that Inibehe be sent to the correctional facility to purge himself of insolence and dishonorable acts that tend to bring the court to disrepute. Barr Abia however noted that while democracy encourages human freedom such as the right to expression, Akwa Ibom Integrity Alliance believes that such rights should not be abused or used for the purpose of destroying societal cohesion and "our fledgling democracy, which is the responsibility of every state to protect in consonance with Aristotle’s postulate in his Nichomachean Ethics that, “the state is a necessary condition of a good life.” He maintained that, “The Akwa Ibom Integrity Alliance had earlier urged the President of the Nigeria Bar Association, Olumide Akpata, Esq. to caution Inibehe accordingly, following his fragrant disregard to decency which he constantly exhibits at the court during the ongoing libel suit instituted against one Mr. Leo Ekpenyong." "We could recall that in 2019, following the victory of Governor Udom Emmanuel at the tribunal and the victory of Senator Chris Ekpenyong over Senator Godswill Akpabio at the tribunal and Court of Appeal, Leo Ekpenyong inundated the media in August 2019 with claims that the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel bribed the tribunal judges to the tune of $1.5 Million Dollars to secure judgment in favour of Dr. Chris Ekpenyong. The said publication titled, “Justice for Sale in Akwa Ibom State National Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal”. "The Governor, through the then Attorney General, Uwemedimo Nwoko wrote and urged Barr Ekpenyong to retract that story and apologize to the Governor, failure of which would lead to legal actions. Leo Ekpenyong insisted that he stood by his allegations against the Governor and insisted that he had further evidence to show the world that the Governor bought the judgement. Rather than show remorse, Ekpenyong went on to our vituperations on the person of the Governor and the learned silk, Uwemedimo Nwoko,SAN, calling them disdainful names and threatening to publish his investigative reports with the national judicial council". "The Governor through his counsel, Barr. Samuel Ikpo filed a case of defamation against Leo Ekpenyong at the State High court in September 2019. Leo Ekpenyong neither made any appearance in court, nor did he send his representative Barr Patrick Umoh, despite being dully served. The court later ruled on December 15, 2020 that Leo Ekpenyong should pay a fine of N1Billion to the Governor as damages for libel". "Leo Ekpenyong then contracted another lawyer, Inibehe Effiong who later came to the Court praying to the court to reverse the judgment, that he was ready to make an appearance and defend his case. The court presided over by the Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State, Justice Ekaette Obot graciously granted the sought prayers: reversed the previous judgment, hence, affording the defendant ample opportunity to put up defense accordingly— it is unfortunate that the revered Chief Judge was opening bare the courtroom for the legal counsel to Leo Ekpenyong in the person of Inibehe Effiong, Esq. to abuse the judge severally, throw tantrums at the court, and later alleged that the judge was biased, and so, should be recused from the case. As a background, it is instructive to note the Court, on July 27, was entertaining the last witness brought by the prosecution counsel, when Inibehe Effiong put up some discouraging attitude. A certain reporter with Premium Times, Saviour Imukudo was caught video recording the session with his mobile phone, against courts protocol. Resultantly, the phone was confiscated and the reporter ordered to leave the courtroom by the judge. "In his usual juvenile disposition, Inibehe insisted that the judge should rule on a motion he had earlier moved, for the judge to recuse self from the case and that he was not comfortable with the presence of law enforcement officers in the courtroom" "In her prerogative, Justice Ekaette Obot insisted on going on with the case, prompting Inibehe to start accusing her of bias and unfair handling of the case. Barr Effiong had despite repeated warnings from the State Chief Judge, constantly acerbic words on the Judge, alleging that she was taking the matter personal and also queried her decision to send the journalist out of the courtroom". Rising in defense of the Chief Judge, the group maintained that the decision by Justice Obot to commit the unruly lawyer to prison for his contemptuous conduct before the Chief Judge was in court, was in order, as that would serve as deterrent to Barr. Inibehe and his likes, as the continuous desecration of the temple of justice cannot be tolerated. Abia said the sanctity of the court must be upheld at all times.

“…I will pursue this case to the Supreme Court”- Barr Asuquo A federal high Court in Uyo has adjourned sitting to August 30,2022, after ordering court summon to be served on the Akwa Ibom State Chairman of Young Progressives Party, Pastor Nyenime Andy and Senator Bassey Albert. A lawyer and an aspirant of the YPP, Barr Alexander Asuquo had dragged Senator Bassey Albert to court over alleged attempt to inherit the Young Progressives Party ticket from the party chairman, Pastor Nyenime Andy. Matter was then adjourned to the 30th of August 2022 for hearing, while hearing notice was ordered to be served on INEC and YPP accordingly. The lawyer is joining the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Pastor Nyenime Andy, Senator Bassey Albert and the Independent National Electoral Commission, as Defendants. YPP had earlier submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the name of the state party Chairman, Nyenime Andy, as its Governorship Candidate. The plaintiff is seeking judicial answers to questions bordering on whether the state chairman of the party can validly use his position as the chairman of the party to preserve and reserve the gubernatorial ticket of the party to Sen. Bassey Albert (3rd Defendant) who was already an aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The 2nd and 3rd Defendants (Dr. Andy and Sen Albert) are allegedly evading service. Speaking to reporters outside the courtroom, the aspirant, Mr Alexander Asuquo said, “besides challenging the legality of the chairman's action, I'm also asking the court to determine if after also filling and submitting a nomination form in PDP, Bassey Albert can be validly nominated by YPP in view of the provisions of Section 35 of the Electoral Act 2022. “I'm not just a member but a gubernatorial aspirant under YPP who was received into the party by Dr. Andy himself. “After being received into the party in February 2022, I noticed that almost everywhere I went for consultation I was told that the party belongs to OBA. “I asked some party executives about OBA's stake in the party but they dismissed it as a rumour. “I then observed that the state chairman was working for OBA. He blocked me from the party machinery to enable him preserve the ticket for OBA. I wasn't sure of the plan until the day the state chairman picked up YPP gubernatorial nomination form pretending that he is interested in running for governor. He was actually acting as a decoy for OBA. “I was shocked when I realized that the rumour was true and decided to wait for them at the appropriate time. Now I want the court to determine whether what the chairman did in pretending that he wants to contest for governor when in fact he has no intention to run but to keep the ticket for OBA is lawful. “I'm ready to go up to the supreme court over this issue because I believe it will set a bad precedent if not challenged. “This is a novel provision I want the court to give judicial interpretation. “If OBA wanted YPP's ticket so badly, he ought to have resigned from PDP early enough and not after he failed to succeed in PDP and after I've already written to YPP to ventilate my reservation”, Asuquo concluded.

An alleged attempt by Senator Bassey Albert’s supporters to unleash violence, chaos and terror to disrupt the peace in Akwa Ibom State has been uncovered. The State Police Commissioner and all security agents in the State, have been called to investigate and bring to book all those remotely and directly involved in the planned attack. The Director of Political Affairs of a socio - political group, Mandate Eyes, Pastor Micheal Okon announced this in a chat with newsmen in Abuja. Pastor Micheal Okon disclosed that a leaked chat from one of Bassey Albert’s support groups, ‘OBA Mission 2 Network’ showed clearly a well conceptualized and hatched ploy to deploy violence and terrorism in a bid to disrupt the conduct of the Governorship Primaries. One of the members of the group, Blessing Akpabio with phone number, 07034412956, in the leaked chat said, “if I were to advice our principal and the Campaign (Akwa Ubok Abasi) I’ll advise we do everything to stop the purported governorship primaries from holding tomorrow. The leaked Chat reads further, “despite the pending case, let us activate the other option. I am saying this because the Nigerian Court cannot be entirely trusted. We should have disrupted the process from the first day. “ The said Blessing Akpabio in the leaked chat suggested, “we would have the public sympathy owing to the fact that the party and the Governor disobey(sic) court order by going ahead with the primaries election. Chaos is part of electoral process when necessary. Another member of the group, Wisdom Sunday with phone number 07062411803 said vociferously that, “peace is not an option, choose violence.” Pastor Micheal Okon in the chat , dismissed the claimed withdrawal of the Senator from the governorship race and advised security agents to deal decisively with the threats.

Dawned with the stark realities of losing woefully at Akwa ibom PDP primaries slated for May 21st 2022, an Aspirant in the race who is already feeling intimidated by the massive endorsement and wide acceptability of the aspiration of Pastor Umo Eno is now exploring loopholes to embark on litigations after the primaries. In other to successfully achieve this latest plot, according to our privileged source who is a top member of the state legislature, he is keenly watching to see how the election of the adhoc delegtes will be conducted to use any lacuna to seek legal redress. Our Sources who pleaded anonymity owing to his current position in government disclosed that one of the noisy aspirant who have been boosting of being the next governor has suddenly realized that the tide and tempo of political current is tilting towards Pastor Umo Eno notwithstanding the several propaganda and arm-twisting politics he has played in the past months. According to him, “The Aspirant, a current member of the national assembly after an elaborate meeting with his cabal has decided to buy several forms for supporters to stand election as adhoc delegates, he is convinced that the government will influence the party by hijacking the process and merely announce names so that he will discredit the entire process through courts”. Our Source maintained that their latest tactics is a product of frustration having seen the bold handwriting of the wall that the next administration in the state is already within the ambits of Pastor Umo Eno. Earlier our correspondent gathered that the same Aspirant using several fronts have written over 17 petitions to INEC, Police, ICPC, and other agencies to seek the disqualification of Pastor Umo Eno from the race to no avail. Mr Kembiet Ekpo who spoke to our reporter said the same petitions have been recycled and rewritten with different names to attract the attention of the concerned agencies. “Their contents are watery, amusing and very frivolous. The master minders are already wobbling upon realizing that they will be standing the May 21st primaries with a formidable aspirant like Umo Eno a pastor whose antecedents is unblemished”. He advised petition writers to seek more profitable ventures to engage their time as Akwa ibom people are now wiser and can see through their dirty pranks and won’t ever fall for it. “The politics of this aspirant who has been in government since 2007 and believe that Akwa ibom government house is his birthright is daily witnessing frustration which is a product of desperation. We need a God fearing man as the next governor who will continue from where the incumbent administration will stop. Mr Ekpo highlighted that any break in the current tempo the administration of Governor Emmanuel has taken the state to will drag the state several years backwards and pleaded with Akwa ibom people to keep the desperados at check and avoid unnecessary calamity.

A popular Uyo based online influencer who has been critical of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration has openly disclosed that he has opted out from further baseless attack on the government because his conscience is weighing him down. The social media influencer (names withheld) who is also churning out daily invectives and diatribes against the person of Pastor Umo Eno the preferred governorship Aspirant of the Governor also promised to formally apologise to him over his several cooked up allegations against him. The remorseful young man said he was lured into the act by agents of a notable governorship aspirant currently in the National Assembly who pays heavily for his services monthly. He highlighted that outside the agreed pay package, he was entitled to other stipends for data, fuel and lunch to encourage him to put on social media while the Boss through his immediate aides gives them areas to attack and blackmail the governor and his preferred aspirant pastor Umo Eno in the social media. According to him, “ I was drafted by the aides of one of the noisy governorship aspirant currently in the National Assembly to help them make Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration appear clueless before Akwa ibomites in the social media and to also throw muds on the person of Pastor Umo Eno and his governorship aspiration. I have been on the offensive cooking up stories and sometimes getting fake stories from them to publish in the social media all in a bid to unsettle their various targets”. “We meet frequently to review our efforts and strategies on better ways to unleash our propaganda to demean them and gain more advantage and popularity while looking out to engage more vibrant youths into our cabal. Our principal has been generous and nice and has recently bought better phones and ICT gadgets to help us do our jobs better’ However, according to him, “Conscience is an open wound only the truth can heal, I knew I was on the wrong rail and my heart is always troubled. I was increasingly weighed down by my conscience and I confided in few Elders who advised me to quit the deal which I did”. He maintained that so many others currently dinning with the devil will soon opt out as they are not really enjoying what they are doing which is circulating falsehood to cause hatred panic and ill feelings. “To me, this is no longer politics but cold blooded murder, I have come to realiase that money is not everything and I deeply apologize to our dear governor and Pastor Umo Eno over the inconveniences our fake stories must have cost them” He warned his ex-boss and his aides to stay off his path as he will not hesitate to raise alarm through live video on social media where he will reveal so much about their illicit dealings if his life is threatened in any way for quitting from the cabal’s deadly voyage. “This is just the tip of the iceberg” he concluded.

Who is a deceiver? This is a question that only your conscience can answer. It is a question that Akwa Ibom people should judge and provide sincere answer to. The devil did not start today to accuse the righteous as the Bible clearly identified him as the accuser of the brethren. In our time, one of his sons who is faithfully doing the bidding of his father the devil, is doing what he knows best how to do: Betraying his master and deceiving his kinsmen. There is a story credited to the former Commissioner for Works Ephraim Inyangeyen at Ikot Ekpene over the weekend where he said Ikot Ekpene people should refuse to be deceived again. As funny as that sound, it questions the moral standing of Ephraim Inyangeyen to give such a piece of advice. Although he did not mention who he was referring to as deceivers, the people should know that Inyangeyen's movement, smile, body language, character and disposition are symbolism of deceit. This is someone that has won many accolades for lying, a man that has been decorated in the Hall of Fame for liars. How can you describe a man who would value your house, demolish same and gives you peanut as compensation while pocketing a greater percentage of the money for your property? Maybe there is something worse than a deceiver or traitor. To start with, who was Ephraim Inyangeyen before 2015? We were told he was sacked from the Nigerian Custom Service. Despite that, his kind-hearted brother, the governor, picked him, brushed him up and offered him a juicy appointment as Works Commissioner, with the belief that he would deliver on his assignments. But what did Ephraim do? As someone who has been feasting on people's sweat and efforts without thinking of the suffering they would go through alongside their families, he started surcharging the people. Ephraim Inyangeyen in his days as Commissioner made many Akwa Ibom people to cry, lament and wail helplessly. Some even developed cases of hypertension/high blood pressure. He was directly involved in compensating owners of buildings before demolishing buildings that needed to be removed before construction work commenced on some roads. He usurped the people's money. He would bring estate valuers that would dance to his tune, value the building and pay only a minute percentage to the owners of the buildings, and pocketed the rest. People whose buildings were demolished could only afford to acquire land, but no money to build again. What a display of heartlessness? There was tears in the land. People were rendered homeless and families separated because of Ephraim Inyangeyen's selfishness. But no one knew he was actually playing a script for today, so that he would have what to lay hands on and discredit the person who made him who he is today. When Ephraim was the Commissioner for Works, citizens dragged the government to court and injunctions were placed for the government to discontinue construction work on several roads. A case in point is the family of Etukudo in Eket LGA where the learned members of the family filed cases against the Government because of Inyangeyen's trick and deceitfulness. He couldn't play on the intelligence of lawyers in that family and that thwarted the Eket remodeling project for over four years. He was busy abusing Etukudo's family on the media and told Eket People to hold the Etukudos responsible for the delay in the project, when he was actually the culprit. He did similar thing to contractors. Contractors that would never succumb to his antics of negotiating his share, which in most cases were bigger than what was required to finish the job, would be pushed aside, while those that would dance to his tune were given contracts. He would bid with the these contractors and make lame offers that would put them at a crossroad where they could not deliver standard work at the end. Cases abound where road projects supervised by Inyangeyen collapsed less than 3 months after commissioning. The people blamed the governor for littering the state with substandard roads. The governor took the blows as a leader, when Inyangeyen was actually acting a script that he would use today against the governor. He is now the one castigating the governor for building substandard roads when he was directly handling the said construction work. What a world? It breaks my heart that a man whom the governor so trusted with such sensitive position could betray the governor, his kinsmen and Akwa Ibom people. Today, he is preaching to people not to be allowed to be deceived again. Who is the deceiver here? The present Commissioner for Works, Prof. Eno Ibanga is doing the same job Ephraim was asked to do, and nobody is complaining. There is no single court case. Buildings are demolished and compensations paid in tandem with current prices of building materials. If Ephraim wasn't removed, he would have built another edifice in choice location with the proceeds from sharp practices, especially in underpayment of building owners, to enrich himself. Ephraim Inyangeyen should not talk about deceit where sane people are. Akwa Ibom people know him and his deeds are before all of us. The people suffered, cried and lamented during his reign of terror as works commissioner. Their tears will still hunt Inyangeyen. When a crowned deceiver is the one campaigning for OBA, what do you expect in the end? All the people in their Campaign train are people who have benefitted so much from Udom's administration, and because they were not allowed to continue to embezzle funds meant for projects, they became aggrieved and decided to work against the Government that made them. The people should refuse to be deceived by these individuals. Inyangeyen is known for promising and failing. He has promised to build houses to people but never did. He promised to give jobs to people but never did. He promised many cars, but never gave them. He promised many school fees, but never paid for them. He failed not because he didn't have the money, but because he is a selfish man. In saner climes, people like him should not even talk in public again. He should be indoor because he has betrayed his brother, kinsmen and Akwa Ibom people. He deceived the people he demolished their buildings, and pocketed a greater percentage of the compensations meant for the owners of property. Who is now the real deceiver? Be the judge.
