Hello guys, I am been thinking hard about problems I could solve that might have a major impact here in 9ja, as many tech companies here are fintech based, so I came of with a concept that merge University education + online learning, I came up with this because of ASUU's problem will never end, the issue has been going on for a long time, even if we resume now they are still going to go on strike later on

Here is the concept

-All administrative tasks will be handle online to minimize cost

- the courses will be pre recorded and updated when needed

- Book will be physical or in PDFs

- it will be registered as a learning institution

- exams will be physical

- there will be real time q & a with course instructors when needed like YouTube live streaming

- Cert will be both physical and digital

Banking industry is changing, with likes of kuda, piggyvest e.t.c why should our education sector be stagnant

It will be like a real University except the heavy lifting will be handled by servers not staffs

After all In my own University, the note of 2008 is not that much different from those of 2020, and everything is exaggerated, more over a student should learn what they want


Courses that requires high end equipment practicals might be suspended for a while

These are the problem I came up with

People go to schl to social, to Bleep or to get bleeped, online uni might not be suitable for that

Cert are meaningless until they are been acknowledged as good

That url is the GitHub link to the official Magneto version 2 community edition software. I dare you to find a script with heavy mathematical calculation that will prevent anyone from learning programming language. Failure to do this I will ignore you as I don’t want to derail this thread and you have nothing to offer to better this discussion.

If you looked through the magento codes and you feel people that wrote those codes are people who HATE MATHS and KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT MATHS like the OP then i have nothing to say to you. Keep mentoring the OP. But i will tell the op fact. Learn maths before programming because you will surely meet logical maths in programming

Where did OP mention that he just needs to learn how to create a basic software. I am not telling the OP to go and study maths in UNI. But c'mon the OP said he knows nothing in Maths. How do you handle transactions without knowing anything about maths, How do you create a fullstack role management with specific capabilies without knowing anything in Maths. I have never seen an interview where you will not be given a maths problem to solve with programming. I ask again, are you a programmer. If you are then speak fact.

Before end of tomorrow I need you to give me a solid and comprehensive reason why solid mathematical theories are needed in E-commerce applications, blogs, landing pages, chat applications, even in UI/UX design, school management portal, Inventory management websites, database management app, Mail servers etc.
I don’t mean divide and minus o. Real confirm integration and complex big(O) notation. With complex regression analysis and deep mathematical algorithms to back them up. Also use Alan Turing machine as a state representation to make things more understandable.

And please use a lot of mathematical/computational Jargons. If not then you are a joke. Let’s see if my four years of studying computer science and my three years of building backend codes is for waste.

You say i should tell you the maths in ecommerce software . Please take up the magento software and look into the code. Now back to the topic. OP never said he wants to learn how to use wordpress like you. He said he wants to be a programmer and programmers are people who build these softwares i just listed. Wait are you sure you're programmer or a wordpress user. There is difference between being a programmer and a CMS user. You must be know maths to understand programming. You must know maths to build softwares, Banks apps, Ecommerce, Anti virus and the likes. OP you must know maths to be a programmer, However you don't need to know maths to be a wordpress user. If your client website requires a form, database or anything related to backend, then you wont be able to code from scratch. I advice you go with wordpress. But if itz only an info website for text and pictures then you should code from scratch
