TOPIC: Never Forget The True Purpose Of Christmas

Scripture: "For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke‭2:11‬

*Message*

Each year, the 25th day of December won't stop being a very significant day all around the world. It is the celebration of Christmas. It is the birth of Jesus Christ. In almost every single place in the world, there are people celebrating on this day.

However, we must admit that many don't even know the major reason for the season in the first place. A lot of people are ignorant of the reason Jesus Christ came to the earth in the first place. This is why you see some folks "celebrating" Christmas in sinful and harmful ways, indulging in wild parties, sexual immorality, alcohol and hard drugs, etc.

On the other hand, Christmas to several others simply revolves around Santa and gifts, taking the Object of Christmas (Jesus Christ) out of the scene entirely.

But as we reflect on the purpose of Christmas, this should be a season to gratefully reflect on the amazing things of God in Christ Jesus.

Remember, from the beginning, God originally created the earth to be an extension of Heaven, and He made humans to be perfect creatures to take care of everything He made. He desires (and enjoys) an intimate relationship with humans, entrusting the earth into the hands of mankind. Then came man's disobedience, and the beginning of receiving God's love on a very gracious level.

God's love attained a zenith in Christ Jesus, as He decided to come down to offer His Own Life to redeem mankind back to Himself. He suffered and died on the cross of Calvary to get us back into His perfect Will.

Christmas is a remembrance that in Christ Jesus, we have recovered all that was stolen by the devil, and we now have the authority to wield true dominion over creation - including dominion over sin, death, darkness, hell, poverty, sickness, and anything negative.

Merry Christmas!

I saw the TV remake in 2022 and excitedly put it on for kids... had to be covering their eyes because it was full of Lgbtq stuff.

My BP has always been within the normal range ever since I left religious matter for about a decade now.

My University days are laced with sicknesses and breaking down even during examination periods, yet I was very religious, never missing church services.

Then came my final year when I started to question everything. That was the only year I didn't write my exams in sickness. My health was firm and my result was very good.

It took me 4 years later to eventually abandon religion and its gods totally. From then till now, my BP has always been within the normal range.

What I have learnt in life is that what actually causes BP is not stress, too much work, etc, but worries. You worry about where you will spend your eternity Omoh, you will end up dying quicker. You worry too much about how to live to please an imaginary god, hmm, your case is Sope Otilo.

TOPIC: *Ministering To A High-ranking Official (3)*

"Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him." - Acts 8:35 NKJV

*Message*

It is also noteworthy that Philip met an intellectual need in his encounter with this high-ranking official. The eunuch wasn't looking for entertainment or emotional manipulation but was seeking understanding. Philip engaged his mind with truth, answering his questions with Scripture.

You should also notice that he allowed the man to set the pace. When they came to water, it was the eunuch who asked, "What hinders me from being baptized?" Philip didn't pressure or manipulate, he simply responded to genuine spiritual hunger. All of these resulted into immediate conversion and baptism.

The eunuch "went on his way rejoicing." He returned to Ethiopia not just as a treasurer but as a transformed man carrying the gospel to an entire continent. A high-ranking official won for the kingdom can do very great things for the benefit of the kingdom.

Dear reader, high-worth individuals are often searching for truth but may lack someone trustworthy to guide them. They can access information but struggle to find transformation. They can buy books but can't purchase understanding. Your role isn't to impress them with your credentials or overwhelm them with religious talk.

Like Philip, be available, be knowledgeable, and be genuine. When God creates divine appointments, step forward with confidence. Provide real answers to real questions. Meet people where they are, intellectually and spiritually, and you will be amazed at the results of your efforts.

Lord, help me to be a vessel for Your truth, meeting people where they are and guiding them to Your word. Give me the wisdom to engage with others, answering their questions with Scripture and providing real answers to real needs.

As a parent to a daughter myself, this really speaks to me.
My hope is to raise her with the values, confidence, and wisdom she needs to make decisions that shape her future positively.

Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

Honestly this part of Scripture in Revelations 20 scares me so much. Imagine after suffering in hell from Devils punishment, such a person will be brought out of hell, resurrected to his/her earthly body, Judged, and if found unworthy will be cast into the Lake of Fire.

May God have Mercy on Us and give us the revelation of Jesus Christ, so that many a people can be saved.

And to think after death, when a person's translated into the spirit by dropping this earthly body, that there is no more repentance. Even the Devil will be tormented in the lake of fire, all the little power he and the demons have will be stripped from them forever and ever...

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Honestly, Revelations 20 scares me so much about how bad it will be to fall into the wrath of the Almighty God.

I did same until I became married. I will not lie, I did not marry as a virgin. I had a few relationships before marriage but never cheated on ANY of them while we were dating. Now I'm married and I'm doing the unthinkable. I'm not saying I'm proud of myself, but there are many things ahead of us that people do now and we say "God forbid".
