If I were a serious presidential candidate... Challenging Tinubu today... My two biggest promises would be to return subsidy to pre-2023 level... and pegging the Naira.... Atiku tried but he is scared of putting out a figure... Sowore and the SDP guys are inconsequential... Even though Tinubu is in pole position... Atiku and Obi have some base.... If I were in their shoes....I will promise taking fuel to N300..... To actualize these ...the Naira must be pegged... I will peg it at N300 to a dollar.... by fiat.... Tinubu has amassed enough reserve to defend the Naira for at least two years... today a litre of fuel is equivalent to a dollar... So I won't be paying subsidy.... but simply defending Naira with Tinubu and cardoso sweat... Leadership is not rocket science... on the day of my swearing in.... I will do opposite of what Tinubu did in Eagle square.... " Subsidy is Back " There would be jubilation across Nigeria... Many would be taking their dead and abandoned generator to repair... In the first one year .... petrol sellers would definitely be selling old stock.... so reducing fuel from N1300 to N300 would take time... I would immediately set up taskforce to crackdown on the shylock marketers... Fuel scarcity would return in full force... " leading is not rocket science"... Nigerians would groan...in queue at NNPCL stations... why black market keep prices at N1500+.. in solidarity....I will join them in fuel queues... After one year... normalcy return... in my 3rd year in office FX reserve is gone.... I no longer have institutions ready to give me dollar.... dollar scarcity returns...... Aboki becomes the king again... Aboki can exchange their dollar for N2000 ...but official rate is N300.... If you don't see it anywhere for N300 pretend you are seeing it.... Nothing is actually real in life.. Under Tinubu $1billion received from crude sales gives Nigeria N1.3 trillion... But under my govt.... it becomes N300 billion..... So all these shout of govs getting too much money disappear.... so they go back to the rosy era of not paying salaries... govs and their family will be hungry... Imported goods will be very cheap... A bag of foreign rice would be sold for N15k.. Local industries would close shops.. But I would advice their workers to embrace farming..... that's our destiny... Let's leave industrialization for oyibo... of course tax revenue will crash as imports crush all local industries... That is no big deal...as there would be no money for politicians to l00t.... Minimum wage should go back to N20,000.... Labor would resist it.... but.. " Leadership is not rocket science" I promised 4 years term... When CBN dollar dry up... Fuel scarcity returns.... industries dried up.... Salaries stopped.... Construction works stops... protest everywhere..... I will travel abroad for two weeks... Shave my beard.... When I return.... they can call me ghost and Igwe from Congo... After my tenure.... I leave my successor to either clean up the mess I left behind or swim inside the mess.
