Islam NEVER permits such. Taking anyone or anything other than Allah as the ultimate protector (Wali) or relying on them for salvation is considered a major form of shirk (polytheism or associating partners with Allah), an outright disbelief. It contradicts the core pillars of Islam known as Tawheed.

"Do then those who disbelieve think that they can take My servants instead of Me as protectors (Auliya)? Indeed, We have prepared Hell for the disbelievers as a lodging." Suuratul Kahf (18:102)

Here's the hadith of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) saying: "A human being fills no worse vessel than his stomach. It is sufficient for a human being to eat a few mouthfuls to keep his spine straight. But if he must (fill it), then one third of food, one third for drink and one third for air."

This is the consistent sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ) on eating which Muslims all follow. He suggests a balanced approach to eating, allocating proportions for food, drink, and air.
