Court sentences businessman and his domestic help to death for brutal rape and murder of his maid

A CBI court on Friday, Dec 8, sentenced an Indian businessman and his domestic aide to death for the brutal rape and murder of a 25-year-old housemaid in their home in Noida city on the outskirts of the national capital in 2006.

In December 2006, domestic aide Surinder Koli and his employer Moninder Singh Pandher were arrested in Noida for the rape and murder of at least 19 children and one woman. It has now come to be known as the Nithari killings.

The Nithahri serial killings came to the light after discovery of human remains from a drain behind Pandhers house. During investigations, several skulls and bones - said to be of the victims of Pandher and Koli's crimes - were found from the backyard of Pandher's sprawling home in the Nithari locality of Noida's Sector 31.

Couple cooked their four-month-old baby son in a microwave after cracking his skull

A couple in America have been arrested on suspicion of microwaving their 4-month-old son, burning his face with bleach, and dropping him on his head.

Derick and Mikala Boyce-Slezak, both 22, were taken in for questioning after doctors in Missouri's Cardinal-Glennon Hospital raised concerns about the infant's injuries. Tests revealed that the infant had a fractured skull, a potentially fatal brain bleed, and a large second-degree burn on the side of his face.

Female teacher beaten to death for flogging a 14-year-old student in Anambra State (photos)

Odilinye Rita, a teacher at Starlight Seconday School, Ogidi, Anambra State, was beaten to death by the parents of one Okafor Chinaza, a 14-year-old student she flogged. .

According to journalist Eze Amadi, the incident happened on Wednesday, 29th of November, 2017. Chinaza was allegedly flogged by Rita for not sweeping the class according to the roster.

According to fellow classmates, when the teacher questioned Chinaza on why she didn't sweep, she responded with insults. She then told her to kneel down, but she refused, prompting the teacher to annoyingly flog her.

Nigerian Man gets his parents arrested after he came back from Italy to discover they’ve been sending him pictures of a fake house he was sending them money to build

A Nigerian man based in Italy has reportedly gotten his 65 year old father and 56 year old mum arrested for allegedly sending him pictures of a fake house they were building for him while in Italy. Facebook user, Nnamdi Victor who shared the story online wrote;

'One of us just locked his parents up in police cell. His 65 year old father and 56 year old mother slept in police cell last night with an instruction that anyone who comes close to bail them should be locked up too. I know what the parents did are wrong but I have been pleading with him since last week not to toe this path. There are many ways to solve issues like this.

'President Buhari ordered AGF Abubakar Malami to meet with me and ensure my reinstatement' – fugitive ex-pension boss, Abdulrasheed Maina alleges

Wanted former chairman of the Presidential Pension Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, has alleged that President Buhari was aware of his reinstatement into the civil service in October. In an interview with Channels TV, Maina said his meeting with the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, that led to his reinstatement was on the order of President Buhari.

Recall that on October 23rd, President Buhari ordered Maina's dismissal from the civil service following the public outcry from his reinstatement. Maina who is wanted by the EFCC and INTERPOL, was reinstated in controversial circumstances into the civil service.

In the interview granted to Channels TV from his hideout on Monday, Maina implied that president Buhari not only knew of his reinstatement but that he ordered it.
