Members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities have suspended their over a month old strike action. The lecturers proceeded on a strike on August 14th. Announcing the suspension, the President of the union, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, said the strike would be suspended until the end of October so that the Federal government can fulfill all the promises it had made to the association. He said failure to fulfill the agreement would result in the resumption of the strike.

Video: Man kicks his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach and she immediately suffers a miscarriage

A man was caught on video physically assaulting his pregnant girlfriend such that she suffered a miscarriage.
The boyfriend, who is believed to have been drunk, kicked his heavily pregnant girlfriend on her stomach so hard. Jessy Johnson, 19, collapsed to the floor in pain.

Stuart Samson, 37, rushed to Jessy where she was crouched on the floor and pulled her up by the hair then gathered her things and tried to drag her out of the bar but she fell again and couldn't stand.

Daughter's horror after long-lost father sneaked into her bed and had sex with her

Thirty one people were confirmed dead while seven others were seriously injured when two 18-passenger buses loaded with passengers collided with another vehicle on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Thursday night.

The crash occurred close to a construction site around Elebolo area in Oluyole, Ibadan. The Police Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Command, Adekunle Ajisebutu, who confirmed the incident, said the state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Odude, had visited the scene of the accident and the survivors at the hospital where they were receiving treatment.

LAUTECH to officially resume activities today, students urged to return to their campuses on Sept 18

The registrar of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Jacob Agboola, disclosed in a statement released yesterday that the university's governing council has fixed the resumption of activities on the institution’s campuses for Friday, September 15, 2017.

LAUTECH Ssudents are expected to return to school on Monday, September 25, 2017, while full academic activities shall commence immediately after the Independence anniversary holiday.

A brave South African student who couldn't stand a year extra in school fought to keep the only copy of her master's thesis during a robbery incident in Johannesburg on Tuesday.

26-year-old Noxolo Ntusi, a medical scientist at the National Health Laboratory Service, had her molecular zoology master's thesis on a hard drive when a car drove closer to her and two men jumped out, with one pointing a gun at her.

The medical scientist who was walking home when the incident occurred told to BBC: "There's no way I will let them take it.' She said her actions were "not very smart" and advised others to give robbers what they ask for. "You can always write again," she said.

The department of education in KwaZulu-Natal, a province of South Africa has suspended a male teacher recorded assaulting a high school student for reasons unknown.

A Nigerian police officer who was allegedly drunk has gone viral after he was filmed sleeping in the mud.

The Police officer who is yet to be identified was seen lying in his fully kitted police uniform at an undisclosed location as people gathered to film and take photos of him.

Nigerians at the scene mocked the officer and the Police Force with some even blaming the Buhari government for the man's shameful act.
