miliicarter: Thank you. I got in touch with someone in IT the person said yes they can spool it out but it would be in excel format and thats not official. I will return to the branch and ask that it be escalated. Thank you. You're welcome. Please ensure the branch prints out the excel on their letterhead, stamps and signs it off to avoid stories that touch. All the best. |

miliicarter: Hi House,
We also received an ADR requesting that we provide Height, eye colour, passport data page, bank statement and payslips.
2) I only claimed points for 1 year work experience which was in HR. Although I worked in a Bank and currently work in a construction firm, I didn't put this in my work history. I only specified it in my personal history. As such no point was awarded for it.
I'd like to know if there's anyother thing I can add or am missing at the moment. Thank you so much. 2. Was you job in your EE profile before you got ITA and then moved it to your personal history? If yes, it is probably necessary in the computation of your eligibility and CRS scores and as such you would need to provide the required references for it. |

miliicarter: Hi House,
We also received an ADR requesting that we provide Height, eye colour, passport data page, bank statement and payslips.
3) However, CIC has asked me to provide reference letters for my bank job and current employment. Also I've been asked to provide the payslip and corresponding bank deposit for the job i claimed point for and my current job.
4) I have my payslips however for the bank statement for one of my jobs is not available. After i joined the bank, the bank opened accounts for us as staff and closed my former account. I was in the bank branch today and asked to print my statement. I was told that the statement cannot be printed as the account was closed. However, I've sent a mail to the bank to document the situation. In the event the bank cannot provide me with the statement, I intend to attach the email alerts I got for the times the salary was paid into my account, my mail to the bank and the response received from the bank and an explanation saying that the bank could not provide me with statement.
I'd like to know if there's anyother thing I can add or am missing at the moment. Thank you so much. 3. I don't know why cic will ask for references for a job you aren't claiming points for. Attach as many documents as you can from this job with an explanation that you aren't claiming points for it as you are unable to obtain a reference from the employer. 4. Banks can generate statements for closed accounts but this is usually done by IT not the branch. Insist on your statement at the branch you visited, it is totally possible, just ask them to escalate the request if it is beyond them. |

maternal: What's your goal and objective in Canada. My work experience has been in financial services but I plan on changing careers kinda like go with the flow of things. My immediate goal is to get a job to support myself (without bias to my previous experience) while I work on additional qualifications. My main considerations are cost of living and ease of settlement. From my research it appears GTA has more immigrant serving organizations and job opportunities than Calgary but somehow Calgary just keeps calling my name. I'm so undecided. I plan to land in January. |

I had UK refusal, got schedule A ADR but was processed in Ottawa. I have come to realise that there are no rules with CIC. esosa4real: It's not like it's a confirmed theory , we have just discovered that majority of people with uk history, wether they got the visa or not most times get LVO.
Better you submit schedule A upfront. It's sometimes not requested even with history of past visa refusals. It depends on officer reviewing your file.
Let me give u real case scenarios. I and my Bestie did dis cana waka together. We both had uk refusals in the past...
Me- I had one uk visit visa + one refusal + us refusal + recent us visa --- i got london vo + schedule A adr My friend - He also got uk refusal twice but no uk visa ....he also got london vo but surprisingly no Schedule A adr.
So it depends, no one know the exact rules, people sha sometimes observe a trend which is also not definite everytime. |

Newmum0615: That is my problem with the story. The VO was mistaking grade level with job title. I don't think the guy did enough to discourage this line of though sha IMO. As you said, you may work in a bank as an executive trainee or banking officer and have a specific job role. This has taught me something though. I will go the extra mile and include explanation in my LOE concerning my grade level and specific jobs. But those VOs should be used to terminologies like our Naija grades in banks naa. On the other hand, I think it is safer to get ref letter from your HR rather than from your supervisor, cos they might send a mail to ones HR office and then the person may be unlucky that they speak with the "wrong person" that day. My opinion sha. My past employer gave me a reference with my level then went on to detail my job roles, duties and responsibilities during my period of employment. For my present employer, i knew they don't give references to serving staff so i got the standard letter or introduction from HR and that stated only my level and remuneration. I went further to declare my job roles and responsibilities, I also printed out my job role together with my KPIs from our HR portal and included documents to prove my work status. I included this in my LOE that my current employer does not give references to serving staff which is why i had submitted other documents. |

elfmann: I haven't seen folks who fix and still show where d cash come from. Again, I haven't seen those with deed providing source documents. No over provide oh. We should understand that different VOs perceive applications differently. Better to be safe than sorry. |
