The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has warned the federal and state governments on the decision to reopen academic activities in Nigerian Institutions.

ASUU claims the early resumption of academic activities may lead to a fresh outbreak of the coronavirus desease as many public institutions have no facilities to abide by the preventive measures.

Tope Akinyode, a human right lawyer and activist, is prepared to drag the Nigerian Army to court over shooting of a polytechnic student.

The student named Emmanuel Madubuezi, was reportedly shot by Nigerian army personnel in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
