BASIC SCRIPTURE:
1 CORINTHIANS 3: 4 - 10

One afternoon, a fox was walking through the forest and spotted a bunch of grapes hanging from a lofty branch. Just the thing to quench my hunger,” he thought. Taking a couple of steps back, the fox jumped and just missed the hanging grapes.

The fox tried again but still failed to reach them. Finally, giving up, the fox turned his nose up and said, “They’re probably sour anyway,” and walked away. Wow! The fox insulted the grapes because it could not have them. In this year 2022, never insult what you admire in others but cannot or do not have!

The fact that you cannot have it today does not mean you cannot have it tomorrow! Pray for those who are doing well and NEVER ENVY OR GROW ANGRY AGAINST THEM. There is a principle that says: YOU CAN NEVER ENJOY WHAT YOU DETEST! Men are destined for different seasons to shine.

The moon shines in the night while the sun shines in the day! Such also is your destiny! While Paul was a planter, Apollo was a waterer and God was giving the increase! Vs. 10a gave the explanation: “According to the grace of God which is given…” Yes! We all have different LEVELS OF GRACE!

When you INSULT or ENVY others, you are INSULTING THE GRACE GIVER-GOD HIMSELF and you are postponing your own season to manifest! So, envy nobody this year and wait for your season! NEVER INSULT THE THINGS YOU WISH YOU HAD BUT DON’T HAVE and the world shall envy you in your sure/due season! Pray now!

TOPIC: WHY LORD? – II

PSALM 34:1 - 22

Welcome to another devotional hour with THE ONLY ONE that can add a cubit to your stature! Doubt, unnecessary questions, feelings of confusion, anger and abandonment are only natural when we experience suffering or see someone we love suffer. Still, we must be assured that God understands our hurt and feelings. Yes, like faithful men of old, we can open our hearts to Him and express our doubts and anxieties (just as in Exodus 5:22, Jeremiah 14:19, Habakkuk 1:13; Job 10: 1-3), but we must realize that even though God does not miraculously remove our trials, yet He responds to our fervent prayers. He can grant us the wisdom and strength to deal with them. 1 Peter 5:7 says: “ Throw all your anxiety upon God.” (Goodnews Bible). The King James version (KJV) says: “Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.” So, no matter the matter, never forget that, “the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and His ears are open to their cry.” His Silence Does Not Mean The Deafness Of His Ears! In every battle, God sees you and is planning a way out for you. When you stop worrying, you start winning! Consider this old Chinese proverb too: “The gem cannot be polished without friction nor man perfected without trials.” In this year 2022, don’t forget that a path without obstacles in most cases does not lead anywhere. In the process, many fall into grave doubt and confusion. A Jewish scholar, David Wolf Silverman, once wrote: “If God is to be intelligible in some manner, then His goodness must be compatible with the existence of evil and this is only if He is not all powerful.”

Others, unable to explain why even believers sometimes suffer, have gone to the extent of denying the existence of suffering or existence of satan. Hear this: “If sin, sickness and death were understood as nothingness, they would just disappear.” Just disappear? No! Satan does not understand that language! Hear Mary Baker: “Evil and sufffering are illusions (false beliefs)
and have no real basis.” Yet to others, God has lost control of the affairs of man and the world. Some have claimed that since God is all-powerful, He must ultimately be responsible for suffering. None of the above is correct. 1 Peter 4:12 declares without apology: “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you as though some strange thing happened to you.” Note the

words, “not strange” and “fiery.” That means, your battles are not strange and sometimes, they could be fiery (very harsh)! Oh yes, I can write a book that will fill every space in your country on that! I HAVE BEEN THROUGH FIERY TRIALS! Note: Abraham, Moses, Daniel, Elisha, Elijah and other prophets were tried. All religions on earth today, no matter how blind they are, agree that trials are the process of purification. Stop asking questions! Those who ask: “WHY LORD?” often do not see the “WHEN” of the blessing! In this year 2022, wait on the Lord in any trial! Vs. 6 of today’s scripture says: “This they said, tempting Him, that they might have to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground, as though He did not hear them.” Their plan was to ACCUSE THE LORD AND JUDGE/CONDEMN THE WOMAN CAUGHT in ADULTERY!

If the LORD had accused and judged the lady, then they would have accused Him of JUDGING OTHERS against His own teachings! But in His silence, He silenced them! The Holy Ghost is saying this to you: STOP JUDGING OTHERS because MERCY SHALL BE WITHDRAWN FROM YOU!

Never forget that: There is a story behind every person! There is a reason why they are the way they are! Think about that before you judge anybody! TOPIC: NO NEUTRAL POSITION IN THE WARFRONT!

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
MATTHEW 11: 24 -30

MATTHEW 11: 28-30 says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour
and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Vs. 29 says, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” Vs. 30, “For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Note two things: 1. HEAVY LADEN (SATANIC YOKES). But the LORD says “TAKE MY YOKE!” That means even as SATANIC LADEN/YOKES are there, there are also DIVINE HEAVENLY YOKES! What is the lesson? There is NO NEUTRAL POSITION IN THE WARFRONT OF LIFE! Though you are Born Again, there are YOKES OF THE LORD you must still carry! There is the yoke of DAILY QUIET TIME, yoke of DAILY PRAYERS even when you don’t feel like it. There is the yoke of daily BIBLE STUDY! Yes!

There is the yoke of NOT CLAIMING YOUR RIGHT ALWAYS (even when you are right). See 1 Cor. 10:23 – “All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.” Sometimes for peace sake, you don’t claim all your rights! Let God fight for you! There is the yoke of OBEDIENCE – running from sin even when it has pleasure! There is the yoke of DRESSING like a child of God! You cannot dress ANYHOW AGAIN because you are now an ambassador of the LORD. Aha!

The following yokes are real: THE YOKE OF THE TONGUE! You remain silent even when you should be screaming! There are yokes of your FINANCES, your Tithe, deleting some friends from your life, the YOKE OF “OTHERS MAY; BUT I CANNOT.” You can’t do what others are doing (abortion, bitterness, revenge, etc,) because YOU ARE
DIFFERENT! YOU CANNOT SLEEP! Welcome! Don’t forget the devotional story of yesterday! In a bid to help the young butterfly to fly, a passerby destroyed the destiny potential of the butterfly and “crippled” it! In this year 2022, you must always remember that life is a cycle of happiness, sadness, hard times, and good times. If you are going through hard times, have faith that good times are on the way (See Ecclesiastes 3 later).

Sometimes, train the children to confront their battles and win. Don’t be broken hearted when you see them going through one challenge or the other! It was allowed by God for their better tomorrow! The Holy Ghost wants you to know that you cannot triumph without struggles. He is telling me to inform you that in 2022, as you look to Him, you will NEVER be broken by battles because His GRACE will be multiplied. The Lord says you must never take your eyes from Him like Peter did! The storms of life become sinkers when you focus on them! A man tracked down a case (a velvety covering turned by the hatchlings of numerous bugs for insurance as pupae) of a butterfly. At some point, a little opening showed up. He sat and watched the butterfly for quite a long time as it battled to compel its body through that little opening until it abruptly quit gaining any headway and seemed as though it was stuck. David Jeremiah wrote: “We should entrust God with what we can’t handle.” Did you get that? God will NEVER permit a fight that won’t end in your benefit!

Hear Max Lucado: “God will utilize anything He desires to show His brilliance. Sky and stars. History and countries. Individuals and issues.” Refuse to stop! God is utilizing that deferral and that mistake, and so forth, to MAKE YOU STRONGER and PREPARED for His utilization on earth in light of paradise. Hang on and wait! This is your year!
