TOPIC: THE MISSING OPEN BANK CHEQUE – 2

BASIC SCRIPTURES: ACTS 17:1-12;

9 And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go.

10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.

11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

LUKE 6: 37

37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Yesterday’s devotional was about the couple that FALSELY ACCUSED their pastor of being a thief (Please see it later)! After two months, they later found the missing cheque in their palour Bible because the pastor and his wife had kept the cheque there to avoid being stained by the dinner drops of soup etc! PLEASE DON’T BE FAST IN JUDGING PEOPLE! Yes! Don’t judge people because you never know the kind of battle they are FIGHTING! Don’t judge people when you don’t know the whole story! You may think you understand, but you don’t And never be bitter with those who judge you unjustly. Just tell them: “Don’t judge me by my past; I don’t live there anymore.” How often do we accuse people of what they didn’t do Yea! YOU CANNOT KNOW A BOOK BY ITS COVER Note that this couple in yesterday and today’s story NEVER opened their Bible for two months, they would have seen the missing cheque there! Determine to be like the Berean believers who listened to their pastor (Apostle Paul) in church, and went back home and searched the scriptures daily for themselves and for more understanding (today’s 1″ scripture, Vs. 11). Don’t be like this couple! Do you know that most believers complain of not growing spiritually and they change churches often in search of spiritual growth? But catch this secret 80% OF YOUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH IS YOUR PERSONAL EFFORT AFTER CHURCH! The church or your pastor is only 20%. But that 20% is needed for the 80% to be achieved! Students who excel are those who put in EXTRA HOURS AFTER brief LECTURES by their lecturers! Your pastor cannot grow for you! Stop BEING LAZY ABD BEING A VABY FOREVER! STOP drawing conclusions on others and write the OBITUARY OF SPIRITUAL LAZINESS today because I see a NEW and BIGGER you! Hold and hold out!

A successful couple invited the pastor of their church for dinner in their home in Califonia, United States of America. After the pastor left, the couple realized that their cheque had disappeared. The man said to his wife, “I think the pastor has stolen the $25,000 open bank cheque that I kept here on the table of which I had the intention to give to him.” Angrily his wife exclaimed, “Hmmmml All of them are just the same. If they are not fake, they are thieves. There is no need to invite him again, we shall henceforth be attending another church.” Two months later, the woman met the pastor on a certain street and was courageous enough to face him and said: “Good morning pastor, you have surely realized that we no longer attend church; this is because we’re angry with you. The day you ate in our house, there was a $25,000 open bank cheque on the table but unfortunately, it disappeared while we were eating. You were the only person who visited our house at that time. The pastor said to her, “Yes, I took the cheque. But I put it in your Bible to avoid spilling the sauce on it.” The woman became so confused and asked the pastor to forgive her. Back in her house, she took up the Bible and found the bank cheque which had been there for two months. Wow! This meant that for two months, she had not opened her Bible. And this is the story of many Christians and churchgoers today. They can go to church with their Bibles but do not open it. They just listen to their pastor and go home until another Sunday morning. But the Holy Ghost wants you to be different! Use today’s devotional to cancel LAZINESS or PROCRASTINATION! Verse 39 of today’s 1st scripture says: “Search the scriptures: for these are they which testify of Me.” THEY TESTIFY of HIM! They are TESTIMONY MAGNETS! They are TESTIMONY FIRES! TOPIC: JUST A LITTLE MISTAKE!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 25: 14-23

14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

Welcome, share with me this “popular” story: “One night before a shopkeeper closed for the day, a dog came into the shop with a bag in its mouth. The bag had a list of items to be bought and money. So the shopkeeper took the money and put the items in the bag. Immediately, the dog picked up the bag of items and left. The shopkeeper was surprised and went behind the dog to see who the owner was. The dog waited at the bus-stop. After sometime, a bus came and the dog got onto the bus. As soon as the conductor came, the dog moved forward to show its neck belt which had money and the address as well. The conductor took the money and put the ticket in its neck belt again. When it reached its destination, the dog went to the front and wagged its tail indicating that it wanted to get down. UNBELIEVABLE! The shopkeeper was still following it. The dog knocked on the door of a house with its legs. The occupant (owner) came from inside and beat the dog with a stick. The shocked shopkeeper asked him “why are you beating the dog”? To which the owner replied, “he disturbed my sleep. It could have taken the keys with it.” Wow! What the Holy Ghost is saying to a user of today’s devotional is, leam the act of appreciation daily. The owner of the dog had no idea of what his dog went through to get those items, yet instead of appreciating it, he beat the dog. Lots of people are like that! They forget the good you do for them! Most people have no idea about what you have gone through in life to make them happy. However, focus on doing the right thing always, even when people don’t appreciate you. God is your rewarder and on that last day He will tell you, “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Master.” No matter how the year has been and no matter how UNGRATEFUL people have been, just LOOK UP AND HOLD ON!

TOPIC: WHEN THE GAME IS OVER! WASTING THE WASTER!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: PHILIPPIANS 3: 8-16

8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Remember the boy of yesterday’s devotional who was distracted from his father’s errand! You are sent by God to this world on a divine errand and one day you will be required to give an account of how you played the game of life on earth. We have a home and a father to return to at the end of life’s journey when all is said and done. Don’t rejoice when people are clapping for you while doing the wrong things. AND SATAN IS DETERMINED TO DISTRACT YOU FROM YOUR GOD-GIVEN GOALS! Satan wants you to major in MINORS and ignore the MAJORS! That is the spirit of the waster! Arise today and tell God that THE WASTER MUST BE WASTED! Avoid distractions! Paul said in Verse 13 of today’s scripture: “THIS ONE THING I DO!” Not these million things I do! You are sent here for an assignment and God is waiting for you. When the ballgame of life is over, when night (death) comes, the crowd will be gone, and you will be left alone to face your Maker. Never forget that successful people maintain a positive focus in life no matter what is going on around them. By prevailing over all obstacles and distractions, one may unfailingly arrive at his chosen goal or destination. YOU CANNOT DO BIG THINGS IF YOU ARE DISTRACTED BY SMALL THINGS. Let this be your motto: STARVE YOUR DISTRACTIONS! FEED YOUR FOCUS! Goethe said: “A distracted existence leads to NO GOALS. GOD FORBID! Listen again: DISTRACTIONS MAKE US TO WANDER! BUT FOCUS MAKES US TO ARRIVE AT DESTINATIONS! Life is not a relay race and there is no retum match. Watch and pray against the GOOD THINGS that may not be the BEST THINGS!

TOPIC: THE DISTRACTED BOY AND THE ANGRY FATHER!

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
1 KINGS 20: 30-43

30 But the rest fled to Aphek, into the city; and there a wall fell upon twenty and seven thousand of the men that were left. And Benhadad fled, and came into the city, into an inner chamber.

31 And his servants said unto him, Behold now, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel are merciful kings: let us, I pray thee, put sackcloth on our loins, and ropes upon our heads, and go out to the king of Israel: peradventure he will save thy life.

32 So they girded sackcloth on their loins, and put ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said, Thy servant Benhadad saith, I pray thee, let me live. And he said, Is he yet alive? he is my brother.

33 Now the men did diligently observe whether any thing would come from him, and did hastily catch it: and they said, Thy brother Benhadad. Then he said, Go ye, bring him. Then Benhadad came forth to him; and he caused him to come up into the chariot.

34 And Ben-hadad said unto him, The cities, which my father took from thy father, I will restore; and thou shalt make streets for thee in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria. Then said Ahab, I will send thee away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.

35 And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said unto his neighbour in the word of the Lord, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man refused to smite him.

36 Then said he unto him, Because thou hast not obeyed the voice of the Lord, behold, as soon as thou art departed from me, a lion shall slay thee. And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and slew him.

37 Then he found another man, and said, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man smote him, so that in smiting he wounded him.

38 So the prophet departed, and waited for the king by the way, and disguised himself with ashes upon his face.

39 And as the king passed by, he cried unto the king: and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall thy life be for his life, or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver.

40 And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, So shall thy judgment be; thyself hast decided it.

41 And he hasted, and took the ashes away from his face; and the king of Israel discerned him that he was of the prophets.

42 And he said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Because thou hast let go out of thy hand a man whom I appointed to utter destruction, therefore thy life shall go for his life, and thy people for his people.

43 And the king of Israel went to his house heavy and displeased, and came to Samaria.

A boy was sent by his father to urgently buy him food from a restaurant. On his way going, he was in a hurry because of the urgency of the assignment. However, on his way back, he passed where his mates were playing football . He slowed down and began to watch the game, gradually slowing down until he finally stopped. He watched for a while and got carried away, he became interested and indicated his interest in playing, and was invited. He left the food in the care of some unknown people and entered the field. He forgot the assignment completely and played his heart out. He became the man of the match, dribbled opponents, created chances, scored goals and changed the face of the entire game. When the game finally ended, everybody went home to their parents. It now dawned on the boy that he had actually been sent to buy food by his hungry father. He went to where he kept the food; it had already been eaten by goats and dogs. “But I kept this food with some boys here a moment ago,” he said. He picked up the plates but was no longer happy. All the excitement of the game disappeared, the people clapping for him were all gone, the opponents he was playing against were all gone, the ball itself was gone and time was gone. Regret, fear and tears of sorrow overtook him as he found his way home in the dark. When people asked him why he couldn’t go home, he said his father would beat him. He knew the implications of a wasted time. As the year marches on, there is one prayer you must always pray: “LORD, HELP ME NOT TO WASTE MY LIFETIME, ENERGY AND RESOURCES DOING THE WRONG THINGS. HELP ME TO CHANNEL MY ENERGY AND ABILITIES RIGHTLY”! Sometimes in life, time and opportunity lost may never be regained. Most people spend time doing the right things at the wrong time, only to discover that it was a wasted effort. I pray that your days and years are not wasted, just like that young boy. Today’s scripture Vs. 40 says: “And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, ‘so shall thy judgment be, thyself hast decided it.” Don’t be busy here and there in this 2nd half of the year on what is not your God-given purpose. Arise and pray: DISTRACTION AGENTS; RUN MAD!

TOPIC: SATISFIED WITH BREAD!

BASIC SCRIPTURES: PROVERBS 28: 14-20;
PROVERBS 12:27

14 Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.

15 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.

16 The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.

17 A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.

18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

19 He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.

20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

PROVERBS 12: 27

27 The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.

Verse 19 of today’s first scripture says: “He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.” Did you get that? ENOUGH POVERTY! ENOUGH POVERTY! ENOUGH POVERTY! God forbid it for your life, family and ministry! The LORD is speaking to me right now to BREAK GENERATIONAL POVERTY! I also see today as I write: PLANS TO DEMOTE 1, 654 ODM users from COMFORT (prosperity and peace) to POVERTY! Before we continue, take the following prayer points right now:

I reject DEMOTION TO POVERTY in Jesus name.
Every table where it was decided that I shall END IN POVERTY – CATCH FIRE in Jesus name.
Every COVEN of witches/wizards or evil kingdoms that have decided that I shall never see PLENTY OF BREAD, RICHES and COMFORT: SCATTER and BURN now. Your decisions are NULLIFIED by the Blood of Jesus NOW.
Oh Lord, arise and scatter GENERATIONAL POVERTY in my life, family and ministry.
I shall till my land! I shall NOT be mentally or physically LAZY! I shall work hard! I shall be diligent; I shall not be seen around vain and lazy people and I SHALL HAVE PLENTY OF BREAD. LORD, bless my water and my BREAD in Jesus name.

Welcome to the second half of the year! I remember seeing this year ago: “We often miss opportunities becasue its dressed in overalls and looks like work.” Then I concluded that inspiration is a guest that does not willingly visit the lazy. This is how men and women become poor and drift into lack. Even if you are RETIRED, remember you must REFIRE because you are not TIRED. To kill DEMOTION, “put all excuses aside and remember this: YOU are capable” (Zig Ziglar). Some years ago, someone jokingly sent me a write-up on the quickest formula to be poor: 1. Complain about everything. 2. Pass over opportunities repeatedly and consistently thinking all are scams. 3. Remain at one spot and resist change. 4. Criticize and look down on risk-takers. 5. Ignore emerging technologies and breakthroughs. If you can practice these five things seriously, you will seriously and successfully become an “award-winning” poor/ broke person! No wonder Steven Grayhm noted: “Excuses are the tools with which persons with no purpose in view build for themselves great monuments of nothing.” Wow! MONUMENTS OF NOTHING! God forbid! Indeed, laziness travels so slowly that poverty soon overtakes him. Catch this: “A life of leisure and a life of laziness are two things. There will be sleeping enough in the grave” (Benjamin Franklin). Close with this scripture: Prov 10:4 – “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.” God forbid! Hear Thomas Taylor: “Too many young people itch for what they want without scratching for it.” Use today’s devotional to scratch for the things you desire! A closer look at the saints of old reveals that none of them became what they were without passing through one level of suffering or the other. TOPIC: THE DONKEY SMASHED THE PALM TREE!

Psalm 92:12 says: “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” That means the PALM TREE is a symbol of STRENGTH and ROYALTY! It is a symbol of authority, tenacity and perseverance! It is a symbol of the CHAMPION amongst trees and it is the symbol of WINNING despite ALL ODDS! But consider that on the day Jesus rode that donkey (ASS) – (see John 12:12-15), that donkey smashed down the branches of the GREAT PALM TREE! Also consider the fact that an ASS was considered as cheap and common.

That was why when Samson used the JAWBONE of an ASS, not the JAWBONE of a lion; it was celebrated as a GREAT MIRACLE that defied all human explanation. It was like the 5 stones of DAVID! Yet that same DONKEY (ass) stepped on and made the PALM TREE small! With the LORD Jesus on your inside, you will tread upon satanic palm trees and evil celebrated powers this year! Listen to Romans 9:16 – “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Because of MERCY, you will OVERTAKE those that seem STRONGER, SMARTER and FASTER than you this year! Oh, see Psalm 60:12 – “Through God we shall do valiantly: for He it is that shall tread down our enemies.” YOU WILL TREAD UPON YOUR haters/ ENEMIES this year just like that donkey treaded upon the mighty PALM TREE! Today’s Basic Scripture(Vs.11) says: “Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.’’ You see, no matter what you are confronted with in life, like Sarah, know that God is faithful to His promises.

So, search out the promises of God concerning that situation in your life, stand and walk with it, rather than give up or write yourself off (See pages 38-39 for promises).

2 Corinthians 5:7 says: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.’’ So go shopping for your baby things; begin to plan your wedding and marriage. Start preparing for that dream job by developing yourself through books, take online courses, register that dream business and reapply for that license, contract or that scholarship, including visas. You may have done it before but this time, you are doing it by faith in a faithful God.

Refuse to let that situation, medical science or the physical reality on ground make you to give up or write yourself off. Just like Abraham and Sarah, be persuaded that your Isaac must appear and he will, in Jesus name.

TOPIC: GOOD SHALL COME OUT OF MY NAZARETH THIS YEAR-1

Beloved, can any good come out of Nazareth? This is the question that Nathaniel asked Philip when Philip told him that they had found the Saviour. This question also points to the fact that Nazareth had been looked down upon and even written off, as a never-do-well place with its people. But God chose the same Nazareth to be the place where Jesus Christ, the Saviour of mankind was to be born. I welcome you to today’s devotional!

Oftentimes, before people begin to look down on us or write us off, we often begin to look down on ourselves and write ourselves off. ​Despite the appearance of angel Gabriel to deliver the good news to him in the temple, that he and his aged wife Elizabeth would have a child, Zechariah still found it difficult to believe because he had written himself and his wife off, having gone past child-bearing age. Luke 1:11-25 tells the story of how John the Baptist was born.

Just like Zechariah, it is often very easy to write ourselves off, legitimise and explain our situations and problems away. But Winston Churchill once said: “Never give up on something you can’t go a day without thinking about’’ And no matter the medical or human reason, no matter the factors legitimising that problem or situation in your life, heaven says to announce to you: Good will come out of your Nazareth and your John the Baptist will come forth, no matter your age, in Jesus name. TOPIC: THE SAMARITAN LEPER! HIS GRATITUDE MADE THE
DIFFERENCE!

BASIC SCRIPTURES: LUKE 17:12-19;
1 THESSALONIANS 5:18

Beloved, one foundation we must lay for a better understanding of today’s devotional is to differentiate healing from wholeness. Now, healing means the stoppage of sickness-induced symptoms like pain, body degeneration, discomfort, inefficiency, lack or excesses in the body system.

But wholeness is not just the stoppage of symptoms, like pain, body degeneration, discomfort, inefficiency lack or excesses in the body system, but it means the complete removal of any sign, scar or indication that a person has suffered a particular sickness or disease. Wholeness is simply becoming brand new, like a new born baby. It means EXTRA BLESSINGS YOU DID NOT EVEN ASK FOR! It means ETRA BLESSINGS BEYOND JUST SICKNESS!

This is what the Samaritan got, while the nine other lepers only got healing. But what could have made the Samaritan get wholeness, instead of the healing that the 9 other lepers got? The answer is gratitude. The Samaritan appreciated the healing he received from Jesus, so much so that he came back to say, Thank You and this moved Jesus to make the pronouncement that He was made whole. The remaining 9 simply went their way when they were healed, according to Luke 17:12-19.

One very good way to move heaven to do more concerning the issues of your life is through gratitude. And that is why Zig Ziglar once penned: Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” But unfortunately, too many of us have become over familiar with God that we begin to take Him and His works and miracles for granted. This explains why it was only the Samaritan, a total stranger, that came back to say: “thank you.”

Beloved, let me start today’s devotional with the words of Hash Quotes and he penned: “Your reality is a reflection of your stongest belief.” In other words, whatever is happening in your life today is connected to what you believe in your heart. Welcome to today’s devotional.

Andreas Lubitz is the German Wings young pilot that crashed an airbus A320 plane into the French mountains, with 149 passengers on board, in 2018 Andreas Lubitz had suffered and had been treated for chronic depression. But before that fatal flight, he had been seeing numerous other doctors, in his fight against depression. Oh! DEPRESSON is a dangerous voice!

I was nearly a victim when I wanted to commit suicide just before this vision ODM WAS BORN! One error that people suffering from the torture of depression often commit is to kill themselves, believing that once they commit suicide, all their torture will end; not knowing that more torture awaits them in hell for taking their lives and that of other people just as young Andreas Lubitz did, by crashing the Airbus he flew with 149 passengers on board. That was his LAST MEDICINE to end his battle with DEPRESSION!

His eroneous belief (a satanic lie) that suicide would end it all cost 149 passengers their lives. I decree right now: YOU WILL NOT BE A VICTIM OF ANOTHER MAN’S BATTLE! Yea! You will not PAYTHE PRICE FOR ANOTHER MAN’S ERRONEOUS BELTEF! Yes! Yes! Yes! I decree: You will not die the death of others this year in Jesus NAME.” Mathew 2:1-3 says: Now when Jesus Was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, here came wise men from the east of Jerusalem, Saying Where is He that is born King of the Jews?

For we have seen His star in the east, and are come to worship him.” When Herod king had heard these things, he was troubled and all Jerusalem with him.” Note: ALL Jerusalem with him! One man’s fear and belief became the fear and believe of the whole city Wow! This scripture is the reason behind King Herod s slaughter of all male children, two years and below. King Herod erroneously thought that Jesus had come to contend for his throne with him!

A WRONG BELIEF! His Wrong belief led to the death of INNOCENT MALE CHILDREN WITH GREAT STARS! This wrong belief led to the quick SUNSET of all the Rising little SUNS” of destiny! Oh! WASTED INNOCENT MALE CHILDREN WITH GREAT STARS! Today’s 2nd Basic Scripture says: The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore” An erroneous belief or misconception can be very dangerous because it can prompt people into destructive erroneous actions, such as the one taken by the German Wings pilot, which killed 149 passengers and the genocide ordered by Herod, which killed
14,000 innocent babies.

But I stand upon the Word of God in today’s 2nd Basic Scripture and decree upon your life: You will not be the victim of another man’s battles because the Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul and cause you to prevail, in Jesus name.” Pray seriously!

She came to Jesus because God had opened the door of opportunity for her to receive her deliverance and breakthrough.

She came to Jesus because she wanted to receive her healing and deliverance. She came to Jesus because she believed that she would receive the solution to her problem. Dear user of today’s devotional, THOSE THREE THINGS ARE IMPORTANT: there was an opportunity, she had a desire, and she was convinced that she would get what she wanted. Why do you pray? Why do you fast?

Prayer is an opportunity to receive something from God. Millions of people have been given that opportunity but very few are making use of it. Why do you go to church? Fellowship with believers is an opportunity for you to be refreshed and nourished in the presence of God and like minded people. Are you making good use of that opportunity? What is your desire concerning 2021?

Welcome to today’s devotional encounter with He that is called LOVE! A lot of people ARE HURTING and they go through life battered by different kinds of hurt and disappointment. They allow themselves to be filled with bitterness and all kinds of negative emotions, and they are quick to dump it on anyone that crosses their paths.

When such people come across your path, don’t let them affect you, rather infect them. Hear it again: When People Try To Rub Their Negative, Sour Attitude On You, Don’t Let Them Affect You; Infect Them With The Love, Power And Grace Of God. That is what you will see again and again in the life of David as Saul pursued him from city to city and desert to desert.

Saul was filled with hatred towards this young man, but David refused to allow that hatred come into him. Instead of responding in revenge, bitterness and hatred, he chose to allow the grace and mercy of God to prevail over him. Romans 12:21 makes it clear: DO not be overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good.” For example, when someone speaks hurtful things about you, it’s normal to want to go around speaking evil things about that person too, but DON'T DO IT.

Don’t let their negative attitude rub off on you. DON’T LET THEM AFFECT YOU; INFECT THEM. Be ready and willing to speak positive things about them if necessary! Oh, I know this is tough! These are the 3 words that can change your life in 2021 – “GOD IS FATHFUL.” Vs. 9 of today’s Word says: “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. GOD IS PAITHFUL! That means NO MATTER THE HELL THAT SHOWS UP or that has shown up around your life, family and ministry, GOD IS UNMOVABLE AND CANNOT CHANGE! HE IS FAITHFUL!

James 1:17 says: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, With whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” GOD DOES NOT VARY OR WAVER! His character does not TURN neither can He condone even THE SHADOW OF TURNING! 2 Timothy 2: 13 says: “lf we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: He cannot deny Himself” YOUR GOD WILL NOT DENY YOU OR HIMSELF (His promises) this year! Our doubt or battles CANNOT make Him unfaithfui!

Never give up on God because He NEVER gives up on you Psalm 89:8 says He is clothed in faithfulness! Psalm 96:13 says He Judges in faithfulness! Psalm 119:75 says He afflicts His children in faithfulness! Psalm 143:1 says He responds to prayer in faithfulness! 1 Corinthians 10:13 says He permits our temptations in faithfulness.
2 Corinthians 1:18 says He is faithful to His Word. Isaiah 25: says He is faithful to His plans. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says He is faithful to protect us from Satan.

1 John 1: 9 says He is faithful to forgive our sins. Psalm 145:13 says He is faithful to fulfil His promises. Psalm 119:86 says He is faithful in His commandments. Peter 4:19 says He is faithful during our suffering. Thessalonians 5:24 says He is faithful to sanctify us. 1 Corinthians 1:9 says He is faithful to keep us saved. Note this: Because He is faithful, you will never end up in shame or disgrace! Hold on and look up! This is your year!

TOPIC: THEY NEVER GIVE UP NEVER GIVE UP!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: PROVERBs 30:11-17

Failure is what a man gets when he gives up. When you pray and pray and it seems as if you are not getting answers, it does not mean that you have experienced a prayer failure. A prayer failure only happens when you stop praying.

When you give and sow and tithe and have prayed your Prophetic Psalms and it seems, there is no financial increase and OPEN REWARD, it doesn’t mean that you are experiencing a harvest failure. A harvest failure only happens when you stop sowing! JEHOVAH’S WORD CAN NEVER FAIL: He who sows Will reap; and he who asks will receive. These are things that should strengthen you when things look hopeless and renew your expectations.

NEVER GIVE UP! From Verses 15-16 of today’s scripture, if the grave will never open its mouth to say. “I don’t want dead lost souls again,” then you should never give up on your dreams and God-given desires! lf a raging fire will keep on burning as long as it is fueled, then you need to keep on fueling your determination. AS long as there is fuel in a vehicle, it will keep on moving until it reach its destination. LET NOTHING DRAIN THAT FUEL OF DETERMINATION WITHIN YOU.

TOPIC: THE SAUL DESTROYER AND DAVID SUSTAINER

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
ACTS 13: 16-23

In 2 Samuel 11, there is an account of how David while hiding away saw Bathsheba, Uriah’s wife from the rooftop, lusted after her, slept with her, made her pregnant and killed Uriah her husband to cover the sin.

But in 2 Samuel 12:1-12, God sent prophet Nathan to David to expose his secret sin and pronounce the judgment that will come upon his house for killing Uriah. David acknowledged his sin, took responsibility and laid on the floor all night prayıng for the child. The child still died and the sword came upon the house of David as pronounced.

But David did not die neither did he lose his throne because the moment his sin was uncovered to him by Prophet Nathan, his first reaction was to own up and take responsibility for it – “And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. And Nathan said unto David, The Lord also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.” This statement by David and the humility that surounded it showed his attitude towards sin. It showed that David had zero tolerance for sin and after falling this one time, it never happened again.

Little wonder Aiden Wilson Tozer “Repentance isn’t only sorow for past sins, its also a determination to now do the will or God, as He reveals it to us.” King Saul was a direct contrast to David, when it came to his attitude sin. In 1 Samuel 15:1-28, God sent King Saul to destroy the Amalekites but rather than obey the word of God in its entirety, he brought back the King of the Amalekites alive, with some sheep and oxen in the name of sacrificing to the Lord, when the command was to wipe out the Amalekites and everything about them completely.

1 Samuel 15:19-20 showed the attitude of Saul towards sin and it says: Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the Lord, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in thee sight of the Lord? And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and have gone the way which the Lord sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek and have utterly destroyed the Amalelkites.” This shows Saul’s unrepentant attitude towards sin and of course he lost the throne and his life eventually.

David did not only sustain his throne by God; his attitude towards sin showed that his being pronounced: A man after God’s own heart was deserving according to Acts 13:22. Proverbs 28:13 says: He that covereth his sins shall not prosper but whoso confessetih and forsalketh them shall have mercy.” Always remember that sin FASCINATES before it assassinates! Rather than try to explain your sins away and justify yourself like Saul did and was destroyed, be like David, take responsibility, confess and forsake THAT SECRET SIN and you shall be sustained.

TOPIC: THE LAGOS HELLICOPTER CRASH: NEVER RUN OUT OF FUEL

BASIC SCRIPTURE: Matthew 25:1 - 12

On 28 August 2020, a helicopter crashed in Lagos, Nigeria’s most populous city and business nerve centre. The Bell 206-B Helicopter, Serial Number 3216, Engine Model Allison 250-C20B with Registration Number 5N-BQW, was operated by Quorum Aviation Limited, an Aviation and Logistics air transport company. On board the aircraft were 3 people- the pilot and 2 crew members.

The pilot and a crew member died on the spot. The 3 person was taken to hospital in critical condition but died afterwards. According to the AIB, the crash investigators, the initial findings revealed that the chopper had no fuel left in its tanks after the crash even after the chopper was topped to full capacity on August 27, at the Port Harcourt Military Airport.

The report read thus as a summary: “The technical logbook entry revealed that there was an engine run for 10 minutes and a test fight of 20 minutes in preparation for a positioning flight of the next day. The chopper was topped to full capacity on August 27 and after re- fueling, 10 minutes of engine run and 20 minutes of test flight were carried out on the same day at Pot Harcourt. the helicopter was started at 09:15 hours, and it took off at 09:20 hours.

It later crashed at 12-14 hours There was no fuel left in the fuel tanks. Ah! May their souls rest in peace, but catch this: There was no fuel left in the fuel tanks! This was exactly the case of the 5 virgins who did not make it when the bridegroom came calling in today’s Scriptural reading. You need spiritual energy to make it to the end in this Christian race.

The 5 foolish virgins in today’s Bible reading could not make it to the marriage because they ran out of oil and their lamps went out. The oil here is very symbolic. It represents whatever you need to complete an assignment task successfully. If you run out of the oil (fuel) that you need to make it to the end as a child of God, you will end up missing heaven. For instance, you need the oil (fuel) of endurance to make heaven (Matthew 24: 13).

The eschatology preacher, John Hagee, once said that Christianity is not a 100 METERS dash; it is an endurance race. For a successful marriage, the ‘fuel’ of love, submissiveness and reverence are a necessity (Ephesians 5:22 & 33). For a successful business/ministry, you need the fuel of discipline, self-denial, prayers, honesty and accountability. I see a NEW FIRE! I see fresh fire OIL! TOPIC: NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON THE ENEMY!

Just as it is dangerous to turn your back on God, it is dangerous to turn your back on the devil. When you’re faced with the enemy, FACE HIM AND CONTEND WITH HIM UNTIL YOU WIN. That’s why Paul said in Ephesians 6: 13 (paraphrased)- “having done all to stand, STAND.”
Stand up for righteousness and stand against unrighteousness! Stand up for peace and stand against disunity and strife. Stand up for justice and fairness and stand up against wickedness and injustice. Stand up for healing and health and stand against every kind of sickness.

STAND AND KEEP ON STANDING UNTIL YOU GET WHAT YOU ARE STANDING FOR. Refuse to be moved. Refuse to turn your back in the day of battle. If you fall, GET BACK UP, STRENGTHEN YOURSELF AND FIGHT AGAIN. No matter how many times the enemy knocks you down, get back up. Whenever the enemy hits you and you fall, make sure you fall with your face up; because IF YOU CAN LOOK UP, YOU CAN GET UP.

TOPIC: Don’t Turn Your Back on These 3!

Start today’s devotional with this wisdom arrow, “Never turn your back on the Lord, because only He is your Rock and salvation; Never turn your back on the devil, because that will make you vulnerable to his attacks; Never turn your back on your friends, in time of need, because that’s when they need your loving support.” These three things are extremely important. It’s very easy and simple to turn your back on the Lord; Lot’s wife turned her back on the Lord. How? By turning her back on God’s instruction.

The angels told them, ‘do not look back’ (Genesis 19:17). But she could not resist that temptation. She looked back and that was the end. Samson turned his back on God when he allowed himself to be pressured into breaking his vow to God. In Judges 16:16, Delilah ‘pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death’. PEOPLE DON’T JUST BACKSLIDE ACCIDENTALLY AND SUDDENLY. It happens slowly and subtly. Day by day, this woman pressed Samson, THE ANOINTED MAN OF GOD, until he gave in. Beware of evil associations.

Resist friendships that put you under pressure to turn your back on God and on His plans and purposes for you. Remember the words of Andy Hickton again, “NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON THE LORD – HE IS YOUR ROCK AND SALVATION.” Don’t let the devil take you away from that solid, unshakable ground of God’s unending MERCY. Stay with Him and keep your focus on Him. Hold on to Him and He will establish you in your place of honour and glory (To be continued tomorrow).

Why put your focus and attention on the past when you know that there is nothing you can do to change it? No wonder Hugh White penned: “When you make a mistake, don’t look back at it long. Take the reason of the thing into your mind and then look forward. Mistakes are lessons of wisdom. The past cannot be changed. The future is yet in your power.” Use that power today; TURN AROUND AND FACE YOUR BROIGHT FUTURE. Forget the pain of yesterday and face the joy of tomorrow.

Don t let the past drag you back. Don’t let the past hold you in chains. Today’s 1st scripture Vs. 22 says “Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings…” The second scripture is also a fire arrow of revival! TOPIC: BULLDOG FAITH – 2
BASIC SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 15: 21 - 28

Some years ago, I had a BULLDOG! It was feared by all other breeds of dogs I had because when they fight, the BULLDOG does not pull off her teeth, till I arrive at the “war scene to stop their fights. In fact, one of my dogs was killed by a BULLDOG! Yes! BULLDOGS ARE FIGHT-TO- FINISH DOGS!

They are RESOLUTE AND COURAGEOUS in battle or when they sense insecurity! Likewise, God wants you to live like a BULL DOG: NEVER QUITTING on the warfront! That was the story of the STUBBORN WOMAN in today’s scripture. Vs. 23a says: But He answered her not a word. Wow! What do you do when God seems silent? She encountered many obstacles! The disciples were against her!

The Jewish culture was against her; yet she refused to QUIT! Live like that! I call her the “BULLDOG WOMAN OF FAITH.” Why is it important to have a bulldog faith”? Because on this planet, many things (people and forces human and demonic) are working day and night to TAKE AWAY FROM YOU WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU. They don’t want your OPEN REWARD STORY to be heard! They hate to see you possess your possessions!

THE DEVIL will fight to the last drop of his “blood” to make sure that you don’t have and enjoy your OPEN REWARD this year. He makes you feel that God is SILENT and delaying you! For example, in the area or healing, he will tell you that you are still feeling sick and you are not healed. But note this: Faith Doesn’t Listen To Feelings. Faith Listens To The Word Of God. Faith Holds On To The Word. I’m Talking About Bulldog Faith.

“Bulldog faith” never gives up As 2021 skips on like a ram on a hill, hold on to His Word, and hold out till you sing your victory song! This month is the ODM ANNUAL month of MERCY! TOPIC: BULLDOG FAITH-1

ACTS 20: 18 - 29

God is looking for bulldog Christians. A bulldog is a special breed of dog regarded as a ferocious fighter. The head of this dog is structured such that when he clamps down on an object, his mighty jaws will lock down into that position. No matter how fierce the fight, the bulldog will not let go. READ: “THE RUTH GENERATION: THE ONLY VIRTUOUS SOUL!”

Once it’s jaws are clamped down, it stays locked on to that thing and IT WILL NOT LET GO. Even If You Cut Off The Head Of That Dog, It Will Still Be Holding Tight To That Thing. That is the kind of faith that wins. Paul had this kind of faith. He had heard prophecies upon prophecies that the future was loaded with challenges, troubles, storms and huricanes.

But hear his words, “NONE OF THESE THINGS MOVE ME.” He refused to let go of God’s call upon his life. His spiritual jaws were clamped on that purpose and call, and he refused to allow the storms of life discourage him. Be a PAUL! Be like a BULLDOG!
