TOPIC: BVN IN NIGERIA: CONFRONT YOUR PHARAOH EARLY

Basic Scripture: Exodus 8:20 ; 9: 13-17

On February 14, 2014, the Central Bank of Nigeria through the Bankers Committee in collaboration with all banks in Nigeria launched a centralized biometric identification system for the banking industry termed Bank Verification Number (BVN).

The benefits of this among other things was to give a unique identification to bank customers or bank account holders that can be verified across the Nigerian banking industry, protect customers’ accounts from unauthorized access, address issues of identity theft thus reducing exposure to fraud and give the banking industry the chances of fishing out blacklisted customers.

Other benefits included reduction in queuing in banking halls. standardized efficiency of banking operation and usage of the customers unique BVN as a means of identification across the Nigerian banks as well as authenticate transactions without the use of cards, using only biometric features and Personal Identification Numbers (PIN).
The method of the enrolment was very simple. Account holders were expected to walk into any branch their banks , fill and submit a BVN enrolment form, present themselves tor data capturing such as fingerprint and facial page. Thereafter, an enrolment slip with the transaction ID would be issued to the customer and within 24 hours the system would confirm the application, generate a BVN and an SMS would be sent to the customer to pick up his BVN.

Nigerians were given until the end of June 2015 to do this, a period lasting more than one year. Behold, as June 2015 was about to end, many Nigerians woke up to the realize that the exercise was about to end and that they had not taken advantage of all the time they had to do so. The banks were filled to overflowing as customers got into a last minute rush to beat the deadline. This resulted in untold hardship for many.
That the Holy Ghost wants to pick up is that in this life/ministry, whatever you have to do, start early and do it quickly! PROCRASTINATION is a WASTER! Catch one of the secrets of DAVID: Psalm 63: 1 – “O God, Thou an my God; early will I seek Thee: my soul thirsted for Thee, my flesh longest for Thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.” He was not a PROCRASTINATOR! He never postponed what had to be done! He sought the Lord early!
You too seek the LORD early – Isaiah 55:6 ! An old English adage says, “Make hay while the sun shines” – that old English proverb attributed to John Haywood means, “to act while an opportunity exists: to take action while a situation is favourable”. In Medical Science, they say the best outcome for cancer management is when the disease is detected early.

Don’t shift what you have to do now till tomorrow! Challenges are better solved and resolved when confronted early. Hear what Thomas Jefferson said: “Never put off for tomorrow what you can do today.” Leonardo da Vinci added this. “It is easier to resist at the beginning than at the end.” Be an early riser like your father Abraham ( Genesis 19:27 ; 21:14 ).
I prophesy: You shall finish strong and delays/procrastination will have no place in your life/ministry in Jesus name!

TOPIC: THE BUILDING CAN COLLAPSE! WATCH IT

Basic Scripture:1 CORINTHIANS 10:1-2

On March 13, 2019, a 3-storey building located at Massey Street on Lagos Island, Lagos State, Nigeria collapsed. The building housed a primary school among other things. Its collapse caused the death of 20 people, while many others were injured. About the time of that incident, another building collapsed in another part of Lagos State, and the city of Ibadan in Oyo State, Nigeria.

Worried by these developments, the Nigerian Minister of Science and Technology set up an inter-ministerial committee to look into the causes of the collapse of these buildings. The committee headed by the Acting Chairman of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI) came up with its findings.
It said, “The committee is of the opinion that the structure at Massey Street might have collapsed as a result of the following: 1. The sandy nature of the soil with low bearing capacity. 2. Shallow foundation 3. Weak concrete mix 4. Low average comprehensive strength in the reinforced and overloading of the building resting on a small area by converting the second floor into a school.

On the collapse of the building in Ibadan City, the committee came to the conclusion that “the building collapsed due to non-adherence to the building construction process, inappropriate/poor designs, hasty construction work, non-supervision of the construction work by professionals, and non-monitoring by the development control authorities.”
The other building in Lagos collapsed according to the committee because, “the average comprehensive strength of the concrete was below the minimum standard.”

What the Ghost is saying is that, You Must Understand That The Buildings Once Stood But For Those Reasons Given, They Came Down Crumbling! A family/business/ministry that is thriving can come crumbling down if one does not watch it.
Lucifer was once so highly anointed as a cherub but was brought down. Pride brought him down ( Isaiah 14:12-151 ). Prophet Eli was once so highly anointed but was brought down.
His inability to subject his children to discipline was his shame bus-stop ( 1 Samuel 3: 11-13 ). Samson suffered the same fate because of his inordinate love for women (Judges 16). Today’s scripture tells us what was responsible for the fall of many children of Israel in the wilderness. I have seen and heard many fall from grace to grass.

New things don’t bring people down; they are still those things we have always known – pride, the love of money and inordinate fraternity with members of the opposite sex still bring many down! Verse 12 of today’s Word says, Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” I decree: Your life, family and ministry building will not collapse in disgrace in Jesus name!

TOPIC: DON’T JUDGE OTHERS! TAKE OFF YOUR BEAM!

Basic Scripture: Matthew 7:1-6

The Holy Ghost wants to REMIND you of some things you knew before! In this second half of this STORY to GLORY year 2019, THE LORD wants you to avoid the little foxes that can dry- up your STORY to GLORY RAIN! Two of the little foxes that can BLOCK MERCY from you are: SUSPICION and GOSSIP! Sadly, every family, church or business has a gossip.

You must avoid these habits and avoid those who indulge in them! There was a sister called Mandy who loved to find faults and stick her nose into other people’s affairs. Her greatest mistake, which was God’s own method of ‘breaking’ and ‘grinding her’, was when she spread a story about a new member of her church named Zaky for being an alcoholic because she saw his pick-up van parked in front of the town’s only bar!
She accused Zaky and told others about her discovery. She had a “holier-than-thou-attitude.” She confronted Bro Zaky, a man of few words, who just stared at her for a while and walked away.
However, his reaction was a bombshell on Mandy’s gossip fault finding lifestyle! He quietly drove his pick-up and to the front of Mandy’s house and took a taxi home. He parked it there -All Night.
In the morning, your guess is as good as mine! Mandy woke up and found that Zaky’s van was parked by her house – All Night She tried to explain to everyone around that nothing had happened. In fact, she told everyone that she never saw Zaky.

She was so disturbed that she became ill and on that hospital bed, the Lord broke her to “pieces” and warned her about the little foxes of “Suspecting/judging” others and the Lord is also warning a user of today’s devotional. I love what Clint Eastwood sad: “Before you judge me, make sure you are PERFECT!” That is why before you judge others, make sure the BEAM in our own eye is taken off first – today’s scripture!

Do you know that every church has at least a gossip and sadly they even drive new souls (members) out of the church/faith? Will the Lord sit and watch gossips destroy His church? No! Do you know that you are not perfect and each time you point out one fault about others, you are earning two faults? Choose to pray for others and not to prey on them. If you judge others, nature has a way of paying you back!

Pastors, take note! Your TV Radio program is not to judge other ministries, but to lift souls! Face your ministry and watch/pray! If you judge, you cannot escape judgment and how painful the bite will be!

TOPIC: HE CALLED FOR 5 MONTHS! WOW!

Basic Scripture: 1 Samuel 30: 1-6 ; 18-19

Remember Mr. Smith, the 56 YEAR-OLD billionaire who paid off the student loans of about 400 black students in Georgia USA? He is the founder of the private equity firm ‘Vista Equity Partners’ and one of the US most prominent African-American philanthropists. His company, Vista, which focuses on software companies, is now valued at over $46bn and is one of the best-performing firms in its class, according to Forbes.
Mr Smith’s net worth is estimated to be around $5bn – making him the wealthiest black American, ahead of Oprah Winfrey. But catch his story of PERSISTENCE and tenacity now: He grew up in a primarily black neighbourhood in Denver, Colorado, the son of two school principals with doctorate degrees in education.
When he was a high school student, Mr Smith applied for an internship at a scientific development company, Bell Labs, but was told that he was too young. Because he refused to take a ‘NO’ for an answer, he reportedly continued calling the company every week for five months until She was accepted! Wow! That is demonstrating the kind of determination that would become the secret of his success!

Mr Smith went on to study Chemical Engineering at Cornell University in upstate New York and later received his MBA from Columbia University. Following his Masters, Mr Smith took a job in San Francisco at Goldman Sachs, where he began working with technology companies Apple and Microsoft, among others. In 2000, he left Goldman Sachs and founded Vista, and he remains the company’s chief executive.
And the Holy Ghost wants you to learn this lesson today: A DREAM BECOMES REALITY through SWEAT, DETERMINATION and HARD WORK! Yes! Success is achieved by ORDINARY people with EXTRAORDINARY determination! That is why you MUST NEVER QUIT! Oh! Get this: Strength and Determination will lead you to a BETTER YOU!
That was the secret of DAVID even when he lost EVERYTHTNG and weeping became his name! Did he not recover all at last? Yea! Determination will always TAKE BACK all that the AMALEKTTES HAVE STOLEN! Mr Smith called that company for 5 months and he got it! You are the next to hold on and hold out and be ready to dance because I hear the sound of abundance of RAIN! Determination pays!

TOPIC: THE LAND: FATHER, DRY UP THEIR SOURCE OF POWER!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: 1 SAMUEL: 17:4-10; 48-53

Welcome to today’s encounter with the STORY to GLORY God! A man owned a piece of land somewhere at a T-junction in an African country. It was the time that the military ruled many of the African countries. The land was uninhabited. Another man from that neighborhood who had some money went to the land, occupied it forcefully and built on it a fuel (gas) station.

The man who owned the land went to confront him and said to him. “Everybody knows that I own this land; why did you do this?” The illegal land occupier told him to name his price and he would pay for the land. The landowner replied him. “This is not a question of money, just give me back my land”.
The illegal occupier said to him “Please name your price or get out.” The distraught landowner left, while the land-grabber refused to return the land. The helpless land owner sat down to ruminate over the loss of his land wondered what had given that the temerity to take away his land. In his helpless state, he decided to turn to God.

He summoned courage one day and went back to the land. There he stood, took off the shoes he wore, lifted them up to heaven and said “If the God that I serve is alive, let the source of this man’s power dry up.” Meanwhile, the land-usurper had a younger brother who was a military administrator in that country. Within 48 hours of that man’s prayer, the government announced a shake-up in that administration.

This affected the land-grabber’s brother. The government said that he was appointed a military administrator in error. He was removed from office and a new military administrator of the same rank was appointed in his place! What a turn of events!

In today’s Bible reading, the Philistines had a champion whose name was Goliath. The Philistines were emboldened to fight Israel because of him. For 40 days, Israel and her military force were ridiculed because of this singular giant. He was the secret of their strength, boldness and audacity. However, God raised David to destroy their source of power.
Verse 51 says, “Therefore David ran and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead they fled”. When the source of their power was destroyed the Philistines FLED!

This day I prophesy that whatever your enemy is relying upon shall catch fire and die! Every champion in your enemy’s camp shall be extinguished forever in Jesus name. Pray seriously now!

TOPIC: THE GEORGIA SURPRISE GIFT!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: GENESIS 12:1-7

It was a day I call: SURPRISE, SURPRlSE GRADUATION CEREMONY! Yes! It was SHOCKING and indeed SURPRISING! Four hundred college seniors in the US State of Georgia, in May this year, received a dream graduation present from billionaire investor Robert Frederick Smith: he paid off their student loans!

Yes! He paid off their student loans worth about $40m (£31m)! (Note that student loan debt is now the second highest consumer debt category – behind mortgage debt – and higher than both credit cards and auto loans. There are more than 44 million borrowers who collectively owe $I.5 trillion in student loan debts in the U.S. alone as at 2018).
During his speech on Sunday May 19th to the historically black Morehouse College in Atlanta, Mr Smith stunned the class of 2019 with his pledge to wipe out their debts, thought to be worth up to S40m (£31m). In a world of selfishness and rising nationalism (MY COUNTRY FIRST), this act of kindness quickly spread around the globe like wildfire propelled by a stormy wind!

Mr Smith’s net worth is estimated to be around S5bn -making him the wealthiest black American, ahead of Oprah Winfrey. And what the Holy Ghost wants you to note is that God’s highest aim is not just to BLESS YOU but to MAKE YOU A BLESSING! You are not alive for yourself! You are not blessed to save more money! You are not in good health in order to watch more TV.
You are in good health to make others healthy; to preach the gospel wherever you go! The LORD told Abraham in Gen 12: 2 – “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.” Note: “AND THOU SHALT BE A BLESSING.” It is good to be blessed but it is BETTER to be a blessing! Sometimes, until you give yourself away, you cannot find yourself!

Today will never come again! Be a blessing! Forgive someone! Encourage someone! Be a friend! TAKE TIME TO CARE! Let your words heal and not wound! Remember, you will leave this planet with your hands empty! Pray now!

TOPIC: HE KNOWS YOUR DESTINATION! HOLD ON!

Basic Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:10-23

Today’s scripture Vs. 23 (KJV) contains only 24 words, but those words can carry you through 24 months, 24 years and can sustain over 24 generations! It says: “And He BROUGHT US OUT from thence, that He might BRING US IN, to give us the land which He sware unto our fathers.” God will always bring you OUT so that He can bring you IN.

He brought you out of Egypt (burdens and your old life in the world) because He has a strong plan to bring you into Canaan (the life in Christ; a life of blessings). The emphasis of the Holy Ghost to you today is that no matter how 2019 has been, never forget that THERE IS NO CONFUSION WITH GOD! Your life, family and ministry has a purpose and a sure destination!

Between the burden (your old life of sin) and the blessing (your new life and God’s destiny for you), severe trials may arise, but note this again: Your God Is Not Confused About Where You Are Going! He Knows Where You Have Been (Your Past) And He Knows Where You Are Going (Your Future)! He knows all the pain, tears, betrayals and disappointments you have experienced and He is sending me to assure you again that He did not bring you out of Egypt to bring you into shame!
He did not bring you out to bring you into pity! He is determined to give you the land (your life’s purpose). No matter how the year has been, the LORD will cause you to dwell in “great and goodly cities, which thou builds not” ( Deuteronomy 6:10 ). Yes, He will cause men to work for you to eat because this is your STORY to GLORY year! Yea!
You will drink from wells you did not dig and you will taste vineyards and olive trees which thou plantest not.” Though you have gone through your Massah (the place of pain) in the past, you shall now be visited for your trust in God. For your past shame, you shall have double honour, because your GLORY season has come! Indeed, your enemies shall pay dearly for their cruel past attacks on you!
Oh yes, lift up your hands and declare several times now: “There is no confusion on my pathway! It is my STORY to GLORY year! He brought me OUT to bring me IN and I know that my life has a destination. My life’s journey this year is planned before my God. I shall arrive at my Promised Land and achieve my heart’s expectations in Jesus name.”

TOPIC: THE 26 GUARDS

Basic Scripture: Job 42:10 ; Psalm 91:1-7

Be reminded of this great inspirational story again! The holy Ghost wants to provoke you into knowing again that A TREE CANNOT MAKE A FOREST! You cannot go through life alone! You need others and others need you!

A missionary was serving as a doctor at a small field hospital in Africa. Periodically, he had to travel by bicycle throughout the jungle to a nearby city for supplies. One day on arriving at his destination, he saw two men fighting and one was seriously wounded. He treated him and continued his journey after witnessing to him. Many weeks later, the man called him and said,
“The gang in this area know that you carry money and medicine, so some friends and I followed you into the jungle the night you treated me, knowing you would camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs. Just as we started moving into the campsite, we saw you surrounded by 26 fully armed guards. There were only six of us and we knew we couldn’t stand them; so we left.” The shocked missionary listened in disbelief.

Several months later, the missionary attended a church in Michigan USA where he publicly shared his missionary experience! As he finished talking, one of the men jumped to his feet and said, “On that night in Africa, It was morning here! I stopped at the church to gather some materials for an out-of-town trip. But I felt the Lord leading me to pray for you.

The inner urge was so strong that I called the men in the church together that day to pray for God’s protection for you.” Then the man turned around and said, “Will all those men that met with me that morning please stand!” One by one they stood, all 26 of them! The shocked missionary suddenly remembered the story Of the 26 guards!
Oh! Amazing God of wonders! What the Holy Ghost is saving to a user of today’s devotional is that like Job who prayed for his unfriendly friends, you must stand in the gap for someone in this 2nd half of the year 2019 and beyond! One of the secrets of STORY to GLORY is helping others in prayer, in cash or in kind. God will make happen for you what you make happen for others!
Job was moved from STORY to GLORY when he prayed for his friends. What would have happened if the 26 men did not pray? Do you know you can avert death, accidents, losses, sorrow, etc, for someone? In the midst of your own pain, bear the burden of others! We can all be prayer warriors and become guards for someone today/daily and God will raise guards to stand for you and all yours! Amen and amen! Pray now!

TOPIC: YOUR NEW NAME: RECORD BREAKER! HOLD ON!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: (1 CORINTHIANS 10:1-13)

Life has a way of bringing opportunities disguised as challenges. If you refuse to give up in the setbacks, and instead maintain trust and faith in the God that fetches water with a basket to disgrace the bucket, then you pass the test, and enjoy the reward. When you catch a glimpse of your potential, that’s when passion is born.

It is that PASSION that satan attacks! He knows that the greatest PASSION KILLER IS DOUBT/CONFUSION/DEPRESSION. One thing about being a champion is that you must be RESILIENT!
No matter what is thrown at you, no matter how deep the hole, you must find a way to bounce back and overcome adversity.
Albert Schweitzer opined: “One who gains strength by overcoming obstacles possesses the only strength which can overcome adversity.”
Drink from the wisdom well of William Ward: “Adversity causes some men to break; others to break records.” Indeed, prosperity tries the fortunate; adversity tries the great. That is why you should always seek out the seed of triumph in every adversity, pain or delay!

Always ask: WHY DID GOD ALLOW THIS? Yes! According to 1 Corinthians 10:13 , there is always a PURPOSE FOR THE pain! I remember William Shakespeare: “Let me embrace thee, sour adversity, for wise men say it is the wisest course.” Close with Martha Graham: “Fire is the test of gold; adversity, of strong men.”
Indeed! It was the day I wanted to commit suicide that I discovered this vision of ODM! What would have happened if I had died? Did I know that my destiny was only being prepared by the HEAT OF MY BATTLES?
Ah! I never knew that this vision/booklet would become a household name in many nations today! So, refuse to abort that dream in a hurry! Refuse to abort your trust in God, no matter what! Refuse to GIVE UP, because hurry leads to sorry!

I see your GREAT tomorrow that will shock you for good, because YOU ARE A RECORD BREAKER! Amen and amen! Pray now!

BASIC SCRIPTURES: PSALM 37: 21-27; MICAH 7: 8

The Holy Ghost is using the story of Tiger Woods to teach your heart a new lesson in courage, determination and NEVER, EVER, QUITTING! You are never defined by a fall, because all men are mortal and full of errors! What defines you is how you rise after a fall! You can bounce back a million times after a million falls! Write to your PAST:
“Dear past, thank you for the lesson!”

Then write to your FUTURE: “Dear future. I AM READY to SOAR!” Never allow anything to STOP YOU! People who fall the hardest bounce back the highest! Oh! Rise and rise again until LAMBS become LIONS! Mirai Nagasu quipped “If I fall, I’ll take the fall and get up and keep going.”
The Holy Ghost is speaking to a user of today’s devotional, “That mistake is not your last bus-stop!” Before Mr. Tiger Woods went through his divorce and alcohol battles, his late father once told him “It’s ok for a man to cry! It is not a sign of weakness but of strength.” After his victory at the MASTERS, Serena Williams tweeted concerning Mr. Tiger Woods: “I am literally in tears watching @TigerWoods. This is Greatness like no other. Knowing all you have been through physically to come back and do what you just did today? Wow! Congrats a million times! I am so inspired; thank you buddy.” More TWEETS poured in like an inspiring rainy season; “You demonstrated that the will to prepare to win is much greater than the will to win.
Only the great ones have it and understand it!” From far away Switzerland – “I am so elated for Tiger. How I wish his father, who introduced him to golf, was alive to witness this historic win!” Wow! Another tweet: “This is a good story! I will tell my next generation, I will say to my grandkids: ‘Africa is rich with talent.
We have Tiger and Serena who represent us in the sports where they say we will never make it. African child; never let your beauty and skill stop you from shining!” Former basketball player, Magic Johnson, posted this: “The roar of the Tiger is back.” Ah! I am commanded to tell you this: YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE in life, family and ministry!
The true measure of success is how many times you bounce back from failure! Michael Jordan said: “I can accept failure! Everyone fails at something! But I cannot accept NOT TRYING!” No wonder Psalm 37: 24 says: ‘Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand”

That means even the righteous may fall or make mistakes but NO MISTAKE, FAILURE or ERROR will be THE FINAL CHAPTER of your life! Why? Because the HAND of the LORD will stir you from FAILURE to FORTUNE! And a close friend summed up the incredible victory of Tiger Woods thus:
“The worst emotion anyone can feel is shame and he had a real dose of it. From the great height of elite athlete to become the laughing stock of the late-night TV joke. He’s turned it all around?’ Oh! Remember Tiger Woods! You too will bounce back and make it big! Amen and amen!

TOPIC: WHEN THE TIGER ROARED AGAIN!

Tiger Woods, 43, won a fifth Green Jacket at Augusta National on Sunday 14th April 2019, his first major win in 11 years and a first since having four operations on his back is no longer news! The news was what he passed through to get the win! Oh! 3,954 days! That is how long Tiger Woods waited to win his 15th major.

In the time between the 2008 US Open and Sunday’s triumph at the Masters, Woods had made a public admission of infidelity/adultery and the breakdown of his marriage led to him to take a break from golf. Yes! He Stepped off golf. The former world number one returned, but then had injuries and back surgeries (medical battles)!

He slipped down the rankings, and millions thought his career was over. Did you get that? He got to a point where millions thought his career was over! His off-course problems also continued when he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol in 2017.

Yes! He went into alcohol for succour; many men would! But now at the age of 43, he has won at Augusta for the first time since 2005. He not only won the coveted Golf cup and Green jacket, but the US president gave him one of the highest awards given to citizens! Wow! From SHAME to FAME; from STORY to GLORY!
See what former US President Barrack Obama also screamed out in a tweet:
“Congratulations. Tiger! To come back and win the Masters after all the highs and lows is a testament to excellence, grit, and determination.” And that tweet summarizes today’s devotional: Life Is Full Of Highs And Lows! Life Is Full Of Victories And Some Defeats! Life Is Full Of Pain And Much Gain! Yes! Life Is Full Of Great Testimonies And Excellent Triumphs!
I also know that life is full of COME DOWNS (falling), COMEBACKS (rising), WONDERFUL SETUPS AND MANY SETBACKS, but after any SETBACK or LOW, with determination and faith in God, you can BOUNCE BACK TO WIN AGAIN AND AGAIN! Ah, my Father just showed me that 477 people using today’s devotional are bouncing back mightily again!

Ethiopian airline Boeing 737 passenger jet was en route to Nairobi, Kenya when it crashed, killing all passengers and eight crew on board.
And this is the SHOCKER of the crash: The plane is the latest version of the Max 8 B737, described as the world’s bestselling modern passenger aircraft and one of the industry’s most reliable. Did you get that? It was the world’s bestselling modern passenger aircraft and one of the industry’s most reliable, yet it crashed!
Indeed, the single-aisle Boeing 737 MAX is one of the world’s newest and most advanced commercial passenger jets. And what the Holy Ghost wants to remind you today is that: THE BEST OF MAN CAN FAIL at anytime and anywhere! Yes! THE BEST CAN BECOME THE BITTER RIVER OF TEARS! Safety and security are from our God and not from technology, artificial intelligence or science!

Psalm 33:17 is clear “A horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall it deliver any by its great strength.” Prov. 21:31 is a bomb: “The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.” That was why PHARAOH’S HORSE could not save him in the RED SEA! Oh, see Psalm 60:11 -“Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.”

See this “bazooka”: “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain” ( Psalm 127: 1 ). Yes! Ah, the LORD is speaking to a user of today’s devotional prophetically now: “Take your eyes from the promises of men/women! I have come to warn you again!
Avoid the sorrows ahead for they are many! That man will let you down! Look up to Me and to Me alone! Stop forcing yourself on him. In My time, I make ALL THINGS beautiful and in My beauty shall arise your glory without shame! TRUST ME! FEAR NOT!! TRUST ME!” Amen and amen! Pray now!

TOPIC: TOOLS FOR SALE! GOD CANNOT LIE!
Basic Scripture: Psalm 89:20-35

It was advertised that the devil was going to put his tools up for sale. On the date of the sale, the tools were exhibited for public inspection. Each tool was marked with its sale price. They were Hatred, Envy, Jealousy, Deceit, Lying, Pride, etc! Laid apart from the rest was a harmless-looking tool, less colourful and dirty and priced very high.

“What’s the name of this tool?” asked one of the purchasers! Pointing to it. “That is DISCOURAGEMENT,” replied the devil! “Why have you priced it so high?” “Because it is more useful to me than the others. I use it to peep into people’s hearts, especially when I cannot get near him/her with my other tools. Once I peep into the heart and get inside through DISCOURAGEMENT, I can make that person do whatever I desire and then I attack his/her life’s goals!
In some cases, I can get my other instrument called death suicide to complete my operations in that life. It is looking less colourful and dim because I use it more often since very few people know that it belongs to me.” Oh, what a narration! In this second half of 2019 and no matter how the year has been, don’t allow satan to attack your life, family and ministry with his best tool – Discouragement!

No matter what is happening around you. never forget that following the path of least resistance is what makes rivers and men crooked. Jacquelyn Halsey wrote: “Fear comes from the Adamic nature; Faith comes from the Christ nature.”
So, uproot fear, discouragement, depression and the like! If you find a path without obstacles, it probably has no glorious end. Hold on because, life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage. Hear Mr. Lombardi again: “The real glory is being knocked to your knees and then coming back.

That’s real glory.” Close with a line from the Dutch Poet’s Society (DPS): “Nothing is difficult to those who have the will.” Resist satan’s tool! Trust the Lord of hosts! God will not lie to David (Today’s scripture, Vs. 35) and He will not lie to you. Hold on!

TOPIC: THE CHEAPEST CAR! I AM NOT CHEAP!

Basic Scripture: Revelation 5: 6-14

The Tata Nano was a compact city car manufactured and marketed by Indian automaker Tata Motors as an inexpensive rear-engined car intended to appeal to current riders of motorcycles and scooters — with a launch price of one lakh rupee or US$2500 in the year 2008. However, the car once considered to be the world’s cheapest, Tata Nano, ran into a dead end as sales and production went down to a trickle.

The poor demand has resulted in Tata Motors shutting down. Numerous factors led to the decline of sales volume, including delays during the factory relocation from Singur to Sanand, early instances of the Nano catching fire,
the perception of the car being unsafe and lacking quality due to cost cutting! But the MISTAKE was the IMAGE of the NANO car which was portrayed to the public – the car was marketed as the cheapest car and this created a huge initial interest. But it never took off. THOSE 3 WORDS ‘the cheapest car’ became the arrow of demotion for that car! The manufacturers forgot that buying a car in India was associated with social status and prestige; if a person owns a car, he is assumed to be successful and settled.

But the word ‘cheap’ in its marketing campaigns spoiled everything. The CAR was considered CHEAP in value and what the Holy Ghost is saying to a user of today’s devotional is that you must never allow events or circumstances to DEVALUE you! Never allow FAILURE or MISTAKES of your past to DEVALUE or CHEAPEN you! Never allow your AGE to DEVALUE or cheapen you!

Take back your SELF-CONFIDENCE and great SELF-IMAGE which you lost! You are the BEST! Rev 5:9 says. “And they sang a new song, saying, ‘Thou art worthy to take the book…for Thou was slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy Blood out of every kindred…” The word “REDEEMED” means ‘TO BUY or PURCHASE!’ Jehovah would not have sent His only Son to die for you if you were CHEAP!
CHEAPENING yourself is an INSULT TO YOUR God! You are very expensive and important and you must love yourself! A wise man said: “I don’t know a perfect person! I only know of FLAWED persons who are still worth living!” Never allow anybody to CHEAPEN or DEVALUE YOU, through their gossip, rumours, etc, against you! Rejoice and celebrate your GREAT VALUE now!

TOPIC: THE END IS A NEW BEGINNING! JUST KEEP MOVING!

Basic Scripture: Esther 4:1-17

Martin Luther King said, “Refuse to Stop. If you can’t fly; run. If you can’t run, walk; if you can’t walk, crawl, but by all means keep moving.” Today’s scripture is in alignment with that thought-stimulating quote above. There were nearly a million things that would have stopped Queen Esther from moving forward! Things like tradition (custom), fear of death, human advice from big uncles/aunties in the Lord, arrival of a late appointment letter from the king, fear of failure, etc, but she knew that it was either she did something fast (keep moving) or she would be consumed.

She said, “I will go to the king, though it is AGAINST the law…” – Vs 16b. Indeed, FOR YOU TO MAKE PROGRESS IN ANYTHING, YOU HAVE TO GO AGAINST A LOT OF THINGS! NOTE AND SHOUT THE WORD SHE USED AGAIN: “AGAINST.”
It is a word used in the war front of life! It is not a word used in the bedroom! Have you forgotten that you are in the war front of life daily?

Cain rose AGAINST Abel! Yes indeed, the flesh (Cain) lusted AGAINST the Spirit (Abel) and the Spirit lusteth AGAINST the flesh daily ( Gal 5:17 )! Goliath fought AGAINST David! Haman rose AGAINST Esther! Michael and the angels fought AGAINST the Dragon ( Rev. 12:7 )! That was in heaven! War in heaven? Yes! Yes! Yes! Oh! No matter how 2019 has been, be determined to fight and forge ahead!
Go AGAINST that pain of delay, laziness, sleep, discouragement, past disappointments, mistakes and failures, educational deficiencies and just keep moving! Never believe it is finished with you. T. Eliot, a popular American poet, said: “What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make the end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.” So true!
There is no such thing as a bitter end! No! Not for a child of God! Life is like a building that can be renovated and rebuilt from the scratch because ALL things will work eventually for your good! Just keep moving!

TOPIC: WINNIE MANDELA: DETERMINATION AND HOPE

Basic Scripture: LUKE 8: 5-15

Nelson Mandela, who was then married to his first wife, met Winnie at a bus-stop in Soweto when she was 22. They got married in June 1958, but he soon went underground, pursued by wicked Apartheid authorities. It was her political awakening, especially her research work in Alexandra township on infant mortality, that discovered 10 deaths in every 1,000 births.

But Nelson and Winnie later got divorced in 1996 after a legal battle that revealed her affair with a bodyguard. Despite all her battles and imperfections. (none of us is perfect), history was however made at Wits University’s Great Hall stage on May 17th 2006, when the 75 year-old ex-wife of Nelson Mandela, Winnie Madikizela-Mundela, popularly called, “The mother of the South African nation,” graduated with a Bachelor of Art degree which she had enrolled in since 1967.

The story is not that she graduated. No! The story and the glory is that, despite the many obstacles on her pathway and despite her age and the fact that it took her 39 years to graduate, she finally graduated: I remember the story of another woman who was in a COMA for 42 years but woke up and is alive! Call it determination or aggressive persistence and you would score an A+”.
In this second half of 2019, the LORD is asking a user of today’s devotional to be focused on his/her life’s goals/ambition, no matter the many obstacles challenging your determination. Hear Margaret Thatcher; “I am extra-ordinarily patient, provided I get my own way in the end.” Jean de la Fontaine penned: Patience and time do more than strength or passion.” Then Jacques Rousseau hit the nail on the head: “Patience is bitter, but its fruit is Sweet.”
The LORD Jesus said that you can only bring out your fruit with patience ( Luke 8:1-5 )! No matter how 2019 or your past has been like, refuse to give up! Who told you that the road to success is paved with gold. Mr. Ulysses Grant failed as a farmer, a real estate agent, a U.S. customs official and a store clerk, yet he became the 18th president of the United States of America in 1868. No matter how many “bears” or “lions” are confronting your life’s journey, if you hold on to the God of David, you will sit on your throne and become a worldwide testimony. Remember the late 75 year-old woman: Winnie Madikizela-Mandela! Put on determination and hope! Look up to God daily! Your new name will be “BLOSSOM!”

TOPIC: WINNERS KNOW THEY USE CRUTCHES DAILY

Basic Scripture: Hebrew 4: 16; Zechariah 4:5-10

A crutch is the usual T-shaped support fitted under the armpit, as an aid for movement and motion. We’ve all seen it at one point or the other, but the hidden truth which the Holy Ghost wants you to know today is that, We All Walk With Crutches Daily! The Two Crutches Used In This Christian Race Are Called, “Grace-Grace.”

Dear minister of God, your sermons are by Grace! Dear businessman/woman, your success so far is because you are holding tight to the two crutches. “GRACE-GRACE.” It is not by your cleverness, smartness or intelligence!
Dear child of God, in this second half of the year 2019, humble yourself daily and ask for the grace to run your race. What man calls our exit what God calls your entry into your complete STORY to GLORY season. A pastor was so busy on a particular week that he had little time to prepare the Sunday message. He fell on his knees and prayed: “Lord, help me today with grace.” The Lord replied him thus: “Son, what has it been all along?”

The shocked pastor thought that because he had prepared very well in the past, it was by his study, his power and his might! He repented from self-confidence and had a very wonderful service that day. Most times, we all think that it is because of our abilities, preparation, connections, cleverness, intelligence, etc, that we prevail. Use today’s devotional to repent and re-establish your dependence on His grace.

In these closing months of 2019, take up your crutches (Grace-Grace) every morning and declare several times now: “My race shall be swifter in this second half of 2019 and I will arrive at my Promised Land of STORY to GLORY by Grace. I shall not look at my effort or ability. I shall always look to the ROCK, the FOUNTAIN OF MY GRACE.”

TOPIC:THE BILLIONAIRES’ MEETING OF 1923!

Basic Scripture: Psalm 73:1-22

I am led to remind you about the famous 1923 Edgewater Beach Hotel meeting which took place in Chicago. It was a meeting of some of the world’s most powerful billionaires. The roll call was intimidating: Charles Schwab-president of the largest independent steel company: Rich Whitney – president of the New York Stock Exchange; Albert Fall – member of the US president’s cabinet; Arthur Cotten – the greatest wheat speculator; Jesse Livermore – the greatest bear (a person who sells shares) on Wall Street: Leon Fraser – head of the world’s greatest Monopoly; Samuel Insull – president of the largest gas company
1.Collectively, they controlled more than all the wealth in the US Treasury then. Now, the Holy Ghost’s search light in today’s devotional is on the bitter/frustrating end of these “rich gurus and the devotional messages are: (1) Becoming rich and famous does not guarantee contentment!
(2) Success is not money! (3) Since we cannot get what we like, let us like what we get! In this second half of 2019. consider the end of all the powerful men listed above:
After living on borrowed money for the last five years of his life, Mr. Schwab died penniless; Samuel Insull too died a destitute, a fugitive from justice and in a foreign country. He ended up with insanity.

Mr. Cotten, despite his vast wealth from wheat, died penniless and outside his country. Richard Whitney and Albert Fall ended up in prison; lastly, Livermore and Fraser committed suicide! Oh truly, there is ho fire like passion and there is no torrent like greed! Why are you envying others, pitying yourself or blaming God’? David made the same mistake till God showed him the end of the wicked ( Psalm 73: 17 ).
A wealthy lawyer once said he would gladly trade everything he had for a change in the behavior of his sons. Is it not true that there are blessings money cannot buy? In this second half of the year, thank God for where you are and you will get to where you should be.

TOPIC: HOW DO YOU SEE LIFE? LEARN FROM MATTIE STEPANEK!

Basic Scripture: Job 2:8-10 ; 1 Thessalonians 5:15-18

How do you see life? Take a look at the “innocent” lines below, from a 13 year-old boy, Mattie Stepanek:
“I want people to know that in every life, there are storms. But we must remember to play after every storm and to celebrate the gift of life as we have it, or else life becomes a task, rather than a gift. We must always listen to the song in our hearts and share the song with others.”

This boy, Mattie Stepanek had a rare form of the disease, Muscular Dystrophy (Mitochondrial Myopathy and Dystonia) which meant his breathing. heart rate, body temperature, oxygenation, digestion, etc, were not automatic! In his own case, HE USED EXTRA OXYGEN ALL THE TIME, and when tired or sleeping, he used a ventilator that breathed for him, saved energy and moved his medical equipment around.
In the midst of all these, Mattie saw life as a gift! when he had the opportunity of chatting on the phone with former US President Jimmy Carter from his hospital bed, his focus was on the problems then in Eastern European countries like Bosnia and the African continent, not his health condition. If you and I had such an opportunity, well your guess is as good as mine.

In this second half of 2019, if you can take each day as a gift, then the storms will not weigh you down, if you can take each day as a gift, then you will be grateful and contented with what you have and where you are today. If you can take each day as a gift, your life will be devoid of murmurings and complaining. Today’s scriptures are specific! Job had to rebuke his wife who was the chairlady of the murmurers council in their community! He was telling his wife: In all things, give thanks!

TOPIC: AVOID DISTRACTIONS! DON’T MISS YOUR TIMING!

Basic scripture: Luke 1:5-17

The story of Zechariah and Elizabeth is one that should encourage every believer in pressing on in the Christian race. As we progress in today’s devotional, be reminded of the story below which was highlighted some years ago:
A man of God standing in the office of the prophet, with a strong prophetic anointing with signs following, was in a meeting when he was directed by the Holy Ghost to look towards a seat which a particular woman always sat during the meetings. However, on that particular evening in the course of ministration, he noticed that the seat was empty.
Then he saw an angel who brought two babies (twins) to that empty chair. Unfortunately, the lady was not there. The following day, the prophet, who did not know much about the woman, asked her what her problem was and why she had not turned up for the meeting the previous day. She confirmed that her problem had been barrenness of a long duration, but that the previous day, a sharp quarrel with her husband had prevented her from coming to the programme, it was a great tragedy!
Now back to Zechariah and Elizabeth – what if on the day Angel Gabriel brought the good tidings of the birth of John the Baptist, Zechariah was not at the temple (church)? He would probably have missed his timing for an age-long, desired blessing!
In this 2nd half of 2019, the Holy Ghost is using today’s devotional to warn: Avoid distractions that keep you away from important appointments, work, school, church, prayer meetings, fasting programmes and things that would make your life to move forward. That church programme or occasion you want to miss may just be your time of visitation and breakthrough.

TOPIC: WHAT LEGACY FOR THAT CHILD?

Basic Scriptures: 1 Samuel 3: 4-14 ;
Proverbs 22:26

Years back, I read from a tract a story about a child who boarded a bus unaccompanied. When it was time to pay his fare, he only replied: “Jesus paid the fare.” The bus driver listened in awe as the boy narrated the story his mother (who was late) had told him that a man named “Jesus Christ” once came to the world and was crucified to pay all the debts he could ever owe!

Very funny, but can you imagine the awesome power of teaching a child? The question the Holy Ghost is asking you today is: “What are you doing with the children God has put in your care?” Our 2nd Basic Scripture says: “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Despite your busy schedule, when was the last time you told a child a Bible story or prayed together with a child?
They may not necessarily be your biological children! Don’t forget that the father of the former US president, Bill Clinton, died while he(Bill Clinton) was in his mothers womb. Other male relatives and his mother brought him up. By worldly standards, is he a failure today? A lot of us are so caught up in our daily activities that we hardly have time for the children!

We forget about THE NEXT PHASE of life – a time when these children will be separated from us and we will have empty nests (rooms) without them. It is the training we have given them that will remain with them. In the case of Eli, God judged his family because of his children! What will the children remember you for in the years to come?

TOPIC: THE FROG AND THE BOILING WATER!

Basic scripture: Romans 12: 14-21

Put a frog into a vessel filled with water and start heating the water. As the temperature of the water begins to rise, the frog adjusts its body temperature accordingly. The frog keeps adjusting its body temperature with the increasing temperature of the water. Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog cannot adjust anymore.

At this point, the frog decides to jump out. The frog tries to jump but it is unable to do so because it has lost all its strength in adjusting to the rising water temperature. Very soon, the frog dies. What killed the frog? The general answer would be: The boiling water! But the truth about what killed the frog as its own inability to decide when to jump out.
We all need to FORGIVE, ENDURE, BE LONG SUFFERING etc, with people and situations, but you need to be sure when you need to GET OUT and MOVE ON! Today’s scripture, Vs 18 says: “if it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” Note: “If it be possible.” You cannot be at peace with everyone, because A LOT of the QUALITY OF PEACE you enjoy in such relationships, depends on others also not just you!

That was why Paul wrote: “IF IT BE POSSIBLE, as much as lieth in you!” So, there are times when people around you are the determinants of peace or war! Jump out of anybody who REDUCING you instead of increasing you! There are times when those around you become TOXIC and not a blessing! At such times, you need to face the situation and take decisive actions. If you allow people to manipulate, exploit, use or abuse you emotionally, financially, spiritually or mentally, they will continue to do so.
Jump out of such relationships while you are still alive and have the strength to do so! Yes! Jump out now before REGRETS and HAD-I-KNOWN become your daily songs! Learn from the frog in the boiling water! Pray now! TOPIC: THE VIETNAM RAT PLAGUE!

Basic scripture: JOEL 2:18-27

Remember the COBRA EFFECT? ( the unintended consequence for a well-intentioned idea leading to making the problem worse). Note that every solution has consequences and those consequences may lead to certain situations where rather than solving a current problem, you may end up with more complex problems.

Years ago, the rulers in Vietnam realized that there were too many rats in the city of Hanoi which led to the spread of the rat plague the BUBONIC plague – caused by bacteria transmitted by rats! They created a reward program that paid a price for each rat killed. To obtain the reward, people would provide the tail of a rat. Alter the initial success, the officials however, started noticing the rats with no tails.
The rat catchers would capture the rats, cut off their tails, and then release them back into the gutters so that they could breed and produce more rats, thereby increasing the profit of the rat catchers. So, the good intention of government produced more rats! What an irony! I call it, THE BOOMERANG or BACKFIRE SYNDROME – when your good intention BACKFIRE against you because you are human! And we all have passed through that road once or twice!

Indeed, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, but the outcome is PAIN! The Holy Ghost wants you to do a check-up on your life, family and ministry today! What are the past decisions that became your LAND OF PAIN? He is sending me to announce to you that THERE SHALL BE RESTORATION! See Joel 2: 21 – “Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice:, for the LORD will do great things.”
No matter that REGRET in your heart, FEAR NOT! Great things will come out of every past error! Ah, see Vs. 25 – “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm…” All past decisions that BACKFIRED will REFIRE by the Holy Ghost! He is a Specialist in turning failure to fortune!

TOPIC: THE PHILADELPHIA SODA TAX!

Basic scripture: 2 SAMUEL 6: 1-11

Some years ago, in her fight against WEIGHT GAIN (OBESITY), the city of Philadelphia in USA passed a “soda tax” – a US $1 tax on a typical 2-litre bottle of soft drink! But the citizens/residents didn’t lose weight or cut calories as a result of the tax on sweetened drinks, neither was there a shift towards any healthier option.

Instead, most PHILADELPHIANS just drove outside the city to buy the same drinks, from stores where they didn’t have to pay the tax. Gosh! The result was that the poorest people – who could not afford to drive outside the city to buy their drinks, paid more! In the end, the city suffered a loss of revenue due to lower sales whereas the lower section of society paid more!
This is another example of an unintended consequence for a well-intentioned idea! Likewise, because you are human, sometimes, your well planned goals do not produce results! I know of believers who married early to avoid fornication, but alas, they made marital mistakes due to limited knowledge on what marriage was all about! They meant well, but failed!
I also know of believers who made financial mistakes despite the fact that their goal was to become kingdom financiers and financial pillars in the house of God! I know of a Christian sister who went back to her marriage in the name of forgiving an abusive husband, but today, she is dead! She died two weeks after returning to her home! She had good intentions but the consequence was deadly!

Uzzah had good intentions/motives for touching the ARK OF GOD! He wanted to save the ark from damage! But his good intention led to his grave internment! Oh life! Do you know that even renowned and brilliant companies/ nations make mistakes? Arise today and ask the LORD to turn even MISTAKE of GOOD INTENTION to your SUPER STORY MIRACLE! I hear the sound of abundance of rain! I hear the sound of the rain of RESTORATION and NEW LAUGHTER! Amen and amen! Pray now!

TOPIC: THE COBRA EFFECT

Basic scripture: GENESIS 16: 1-14

Oh, welcome and don’t be scared about the words, “THE COBRA EFFECT!” The Cobra Effect is a term in Economics.
It refers to a situation when an attempted solution to a problem makes the problem worse!
This name was coined from an incident in old colonial India. For some reasons, there were too many dangerous cobras in Delhi, India. People were dying due to snake bites! The government then decided that a silver coin would be given to anyone who killed a cobra. The results were great; a large number of snakes were killed for the silver coin reward. Eventually, however, it led to some serious, unwanted consequences.

After a short-term drop in the snake (cobra) population, it started rising again! This was because a few people began to breed cobras in order to get the silver cash reward. When the news reached the government, the reward program was scrapped! As soon as the reward of the silver coin was scrapped, those cobra breeders set the now worthless snakes free.
As a result, the cobra population further increased. The solution to the problem made the situation even worse!
Did you get that? The Holy Ghost wants you to avoid the COBRA EFFECT as it affects your life, family and ministry! Take time to pray over every major decision you intend to make, otherwise, a good decision can become your bus-stop of tears and regrets!

Papa ABRAHAM and Mama Sarah had a good intention of desiring to hear the cry of a child in their home! But that decision produced ISHMAEL – the grandfather of the Arabs (Vs 12 says “And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him)! Wow! A wild generation from a wrong decision! Most of the most brutal bloody wars in the world today, which has consumed so many babies and turned them into orphans are from his descendants – an attempted solution to a problem which made the problem worse!
Arise today and decree that your life, family and ministry will not be victims of the COBRA EFFECT nor will ISHMAEL be produced from your decisions!

TOPIC: LIFE CYCLORAMA!

Basic Scripture : Ecclesiastes 12: 1-14

Welcome! Ecclesiastes is the kind of book a person would write near the end of his or her life, reflecting on life’s experiences and the painful or gainful lessons learned. I would call it a ‘CYCLORAMA’ which means a picture of an object uncovered or unrolled (a part at a time), before a crowd. I also call it a ‘PANORAMA’ meaning an unobstructed or complete view of an area in every direction; a comprehensive presentation of a subject or an object!

Such is the divine Book of Ecclesiastes! Solomon wrote Proverbs from the viewpoint of a wise teacher! He wrote Song of Songs from the viewpoint of a royal, passionate lover! But when he wrote Ecclesiastes, he called himself “the Preacher.” The Hebrew word for PREACHER is “Koheleth.” and it is the title given to an official speaker who calls an assembly.

But in Ecclesiastes, the Preacher did more than call an assembly and gave an oration! In this case, the word “Koheleth” carries with it the idea of debating, not so much with the listeners as with himself. Wow! SELF-DEBATING (deep thinking about his life)! He would present a topic, discuss it from many viewpoints, and then come to a practical conclusion.

Now catch this: The Greek word for “assembly” is ‘Ekklesia,’ and thus the original manuscripts of the Bible version gives us the English title of this book, as Ecclesiastes (from ‘Ekklesia’). In this book of the Bible, Solomon does not say. “Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow you die.” Instead, he (THE PREACHER) speaks to his invisible assembly -YOU AND I – to trust God and enjoy what we do have rather than complain about what we don’t have! Did you get that?

TOPIC: THE NINE WORDS THAT CHANGED AN ORPHAN!

Basic scripture: Ephesians 4:20-29

A successful businessman told the story of Jim, a little orphan boy who had just a little dog for a possession. He was 12 years old, slim and undersized. He never remembered having a kind word ever spoken to him in his whole life. He was always ‘hit’ with harsh words, insults, jestings, suspicions and as a result, he became a shrinking, pitiful little figure, dodging people.

One day as Jim was running with his dog, he saw some bundles of wrapped clothes fall off the hand of an old tailor in the town. He stopped and helped her pick up every bit. The woman looked at him with a broad smile and said:
THANK YOU DEAR, YOU ARE A NICE LITTLE BOY,” and went on her way.

He went to the riverside and washed up. Then he looked again. He was looking neater! He stood erect and looked up straight for the first time! A feeling of self-respect arose within his being! Ambition sprang full-blown into his life! At that moment by that riverside, he determined that this NICE LITTLE BOY would be a great man – all because of 9 words of encouragement!

The businessman ended his story by telling the dinner audience: “Ladies and Gentlemen, I am that boy” as total silence (the power of God) enveloped that room!

As I write this devotional in this second half of 2019, I feel that same power all over me and I sense that God is speaking to a user of today’s devotional: Kind Words Generate Power That Can Affect A Generation!
Every day of this 2nd half of 2019, sow kind words as a seed into a SOUl! Our kind words will transform a staff, a child, a spouse, a pastor, your boss, etc. Read today’s scripture again and never forget: “To the world, you might be one person, but to one person, you might be the world.” You will move from STORY to GLORY! Hold on and hold out!

TOPIC: THE TRAPPED BABY ELEPHANTS: HELP IS ON THE WAY!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 41:8-14

In Thailand, wild elephants are national animals. They live in the wild in parts of the country. In the 19th century, they were over 100,000 but that number has nosedived now to less than 3,000. Elephants are either poached or domesticated for entertainment. Deforestation and habitat loss due to growing human population has brought these animals in closer contact with humans in recent decades resulting in clashes with villagers and farmers.

Sometime this year, 6 baby elephants separated from their parents were trapped in a muddy pit for days in a National Park, east of Bangkok in Thailand. Patrolling rangers by chance, found these young animals struggling in the mud. The rangers realized that these calves, aged between 1 and 4 years old, could not climb out of the dirty water they were enmeshed in, so some of them left the forest to bring digging tools while others stayed overnight to keep watch over them.
The following day, those who left to get tools arrived with hoes. They began to dig and dig around the mud pit the frightened animals were trapped in to make it less steep. After about 3 hours, the mud-covered babies managed to stumble out of the pit one by one while the rangers cheered them on. A recorded video showed the rangers yelling. “Go. go, follow each other; go children, go.”
Oh, what a sight it was; one after the other, the animals came out of the mud. If God could send help to baby elephants trapped in muddy water, I believe He will do much more for you. No matter how deep you may be enmeshed in one challenge or the other, God says in Verse 10 of today’s scripture. ” Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed: for I am thy God: I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness”.

Why is God telling us that He will help us? It’s simply because at one point or the other in life, you will need help. Here is what Cesar Chavez said. “You are never strong enough that you don’t need help.” So, it is natural that at one point or the other, we will need help and helpers. The Word of God assures us that grace to help is always available in time of need ( Hebrews 4:16 ).
The baby elephants had probably given up all hope, thinking that the mud would be their cemetery. However, against all odds they were rescued. Remember that God always shows up when you think that all hope is lost. However gloomy that situation may look, it will never swallow you up in Jesus name. Hear Thomas Fuller. “It is always darkest just before the day dawneth.”
Your own day will soon dawn, help and helpers will locate you for good in Jesus name. I see you testifying!

TOPIC: THESE STORY TO GLORY SECRETS!

Basic scripture: Isaiah 3: 1-11

Welcome to another STORY to GLORY hour!
Ecclesiastes 8:12 says, “Though a sinner do evil and his days be prolonged, yet surely, I know that it shall be well with them that fear God” Also. Isaiah 3:10 says: “Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.”
Thank God for His MERCY DAILY! Insist daily in this 2nd half of 2019, that it shall be well with you. Consider the tips below to provoke your all-round peace/goodness: Never allow the devil or your enemies to see your tears! Chase away worry though they may secretly crawl in!
Worry has never corrected any mistake and self-pity/grief has never brought back what has been lost. Be positive! There is always something to be thankful for! So, determine to count your blessings even when it seems all is lost! If you can, start a charity that brings happiness to the poor and feeds the hungry, despite your many needs.

Honour the elderly/parents! Uphold the ties of kinship, honour your neighbours and care for orphans. Read useful, interesting and beneficial books monthly! “Be like a full tree with high aims/ambition – If a stone is thrown at it, it simply lets its fruit drop. Ignore unhealthy criticisms! Say ‘No’ to wasting time with shallow people and spending hours in idle pursuit. Say “No” to exposing other people’s weak points/faults or backbiting about them, whilst forgetting your own faults.

Never give priority to wealth accumulation over your own health, happiness, sleep and peace of mind. Forgive your many mistakes of the past! Be patient with yourself and God! Life is in seconds and minutes, not weeks and years! So, live a day at a time and be focused on God even in your trials! Make modesty your watchword in all you do in this second half of this year ( Philippians 4:5 )!
Always remember: This world is never perfect for anyone on planet earth! There is no one on planet earth who is free from all kinds of distress or troubles. Even the most powerful man on earth today – the US president or the richest man in the world also have their problems! Envy no one! Look up to your God till your STORY to GLORY season shows up! Never, ever quit!
Look up to your God always! I decree it again: It shall be well with you and you shall eat the fruit of your doings in Jesus name! Declare Psalm 128 now! Note Vs 2.

TOPIC: TILL YOU DEFINE, YOU CANNOT FIND!

Basic Scripture: Philippians 3: 6-14

Paul said, “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection (Verse 10 of today’s devotional). In Verse 13, he said, “this one thing I do” Then he said in Verse 14: “I press towards the mark…” Note the words: “KNOWING HIM AND HIS POWER,” “ONE THING” and “THE MARK.” They stand for someone who knew where he was going in life and ministry. Until you define your purpose and direction in life, you cannot find success, joy or fulfilment!

Also, David Star Jordan said: “The whole world steps aside for the man/woman who knows where he is going.”
Know where you are going! Make something your specialty even if you are retired or approaching retirement! If you are going through a trial, ask questions like: “Why is God allowing me to go through this Crisis?” “What should be my focus?”

Dale Carnegie once said: “There are four ways, and only four ways, in whiich we have contact with the world. We are evaluated and classified by these four contacts: what we do, how we look, what we say, and how we say it.” How you say it, is your definition! Your world cannot discover you until you discover yourself! LET PEOPLE KNOW YOU FOR SOMETHING!

Truly, there are over a million ideas in the world, but great people are people who follow one or a few specific ideas, a few constant aims and a single concentration/purpose. May you and your family be one of such people on planet earth. No matter how your year or your life has been, it is time to define it because before finding anything, you must define it! Peace!

Numbers 17: 1-10 ; Isaiah 27: 6

Note that God separated Aaron from the crowd by the budding and flourishing of his dry rod in the midst of others. Note also that, while the rod of Moses, which was used in working many miracles, was not preserved in the Ark from generation to generation, that of Aaron was preserved!

That means the rod of Aaron, which signified the priesthood, was also separated from the rod of Moses ( Hebrews 9:4 ). In this second half of 2019, and in tonight’s Worldwide Night Vigil, cry out to God to make you fruitful and different from the crowd! Pray now! Pray at 12am also!

PRAY THE PRAYER POINTS BELOW NOW AND TONIGHT:

1. “Fruitfulness is the best evidence of a divine call” (Bishop Hall)!

Basic Scripture: Revelation 3: 14- 22

Be reminded that a thief in South Africa safely returned a seven week-old baby he discovered in a car he had stolen, in a real-life incident that could come out of the local Oscar-Winning movie, “TSOTSI.” The man sped off in the car with baby boy JP in the backseat after the mother had stepped out of the vehicle to open the gate to their Johannesburg home.

The police caught up with the thief by calling the mother’s cell phone that was inside her handbag in the car. The thief answered the phone and said he had been waiting for a call so that he could say where the baby could be found. Truly, the man told the police that he would leave the baby at a primary school where his parents later found him fast asleep in a classroom.

This robber was then popularly called, “A THIEF WITH HALF A HEART.” But what the Holy Ghost is telling a user of today’s devotional is that: A fountain cannot bring forth both sweet and bitter water! it is not possible in this race of life to be on the side of good and on the side of evil at the same time!

There is nothing like a good armed robber, a good prostitute, a good liar, a good miser, a
good witch, a good
backslider, a good gossip, etc. Yes! There is nothing like a good stagnant business or a
good barren womb/life! Also, as far as God is concerned, you either become very cold or very hot for Him! You are either a prayer warrior or a playing warrior! God hates lukewarm people! You cannot tie up a dog with the intestines of a pig.
Enough is not a feast – it is only enough! So, visit the Laodicean church and learn: “…I would thou wert cold or hot… So then because thou art lukewarm, I will spue thee out…” When God spits you out, you do not become hot or cold. You become DEAD! Lukewarmness irritates God! Choose to be very hot (fervent) in your faith in God this year! ODM is the best gift item for all occasions!

PRAYER POINTS: Take any song of worship as led.
1. Thank God for the Word and repent from any double
lifestyle again. Repent from being hot on Sundays and
ice cold on Mondays – Saturdays.
2. Lord, cause a surgical fire to run through my life ministry.
3. I command every embargo of satan on my divine location to
scatter concerning the remaining months of 2019.
4. Lord, between now and the end of this year
answer me by fire concerning the following
prayer points (Mention them…).
5. Pray about today now! Cancel evil and bad news
this week!
