yinkeys:
I don’t intend to be a full stack web developer

Work would mainly involve
1. Write scripts for automating repetitive tasks
2. Cleaning or comparing csv/excel data
3. Working with API’s & JSON
4. Organizing files with scripts
5. Basic data processing
6. Fixing & modifying existing scripts
7. Creating & serving simple web applications
8. Using OOP & a few 3rd party libraries
9. Write programs for maths/scientific computing
10. Build simple, secure & reliable apps

I’m new to all of this
I only know SQL fundamentals well.
No where to learn FastAPI ? I thought Flask is newbie friendly, compared to FasAPI and Django; & would be used by someone just to get by. Not heavily into web development
I don’t know anything about Fast API but Django is really dense in full scale web development
My base is data
Maybe you can enlighten me like you would do to a noob?
NIIT teach Flask that’s where I first knew about it & got their flier
@yinkeys for that list, no need to stress Flask vs FastAPI yet. Your base is data, so go deep on core Python first: pandas, openpyxl for Excel, requests for APIs and JSON, pathlib for organising files. When you need a small web app, Flask is perfectly fine and easier to read as a beginner. Best trick: pick one real repetitive task from your work every week and automate it. That habit go teach you more than any course.
