I was givin an admission with scholarship to a Russian university. It came with an invoice that States : Following the decision of the University Admission Committee, you have been awarded a full tuition fee waiver as well as a complete accommodation fee waiver.

However, the amount of USD 800 is not part of the university’s tuition or accommodation charges and therefore cannot be waived. This amount is mandatory to cover visa processing requirements by the Federal Migration Services (FMS) of the Russian Federation and includes:

Invitation Letter Fee: 500 USD
Medical Insurance, Medical Check-up, Visa Extension, and TRC Issuance: 300 USD

Once the payment of USD 800 is completed, please email a scanned copy of the payment receipt to us. Upon confirmation from our Accounts Department, we will immediately request your Official Invitation Letter from the Federal Migration Services. This process usually takes 10–15 working days.

After the invitation letter is issued, we will guide you step-by-step through the Russian Study Visa application process and assist with your arrival arrangements.

I was giving scholarship for tution and accomodation for the duration of my studies .
However , I’m confuse about this and as well scare of being scam my family said Its suppose to be the school name on the account not another country account please I need help on this invitation if therr is any way I can apply for it or is it a must I have to go through the university to get it .
