hunniesuzie:I understand. You know creches dont understand LO's like their moms. some think all crying or fusssing require feeding instead of cuddling . Perhaps they are feeding too soon and discarding remnant. If you are uncomfortable change creche. My point was coming from the view that if your concern is food management; it can be controlled by stating "feed my child with 180 mls every 3 hours" Trust me, your situation is better than some. My niece was being given sleeping drugs till she became unconcious so as i said it can be managed |
Akorkor:It may just be that the mucus that clogs the nostrils of newborns has not drained fully. This stuff happened with my 2nd LO and I was told that it will drain with time. It was worrisome cos it was hard to watch my LO look like he couldnt breath while suckling. It went away on its own. Be patient. Kids are different .If there is no other distress baby will be fine |
jazzyjazz:persistence is key. Continue giving formular. It is a battle of wills. Dont sucuumb to baby's love for breast. I learned the hard way, when I went rogue,my LO knew that I meant biz. |
@ Suzy: be patient, it is not easy to be a mom of a picky eater. I have 2 picky eaters, but i'll suggest you keep trying till you get what your LO enjoys. First deworm him/her, then try Farley's Heinz premium rice cereal. Start with little quantities and see, a lot of picky eaters like it. its about 1200- 1900, depends on where you live.

Gr8fulHeart:Nasal congestion is normal in babies less than 3 months. In Canada, when you give birth nasal sprays are given in your take-home kit. If you prefer, you could place few drops of eucalyptus oil around the area your LO is sleeping and on his clothes, it decongests the nose too. You could buy Vitamin C drops and give too. |
[quote author=hunniesuzie post=58412758]That's what I've agreed with Mumsi, she will be in my house next week then we'll see. Thanks mama Ifyalways, that's my fear and I don't even want to imagine them starving him Well kids are funny. My first son did something similar. At home he would refuse to eat and eat small quantities, once he was with strangers, he'll eat so much that people always commend him. If the baby looks healthy, try and spring up routine suprises. Getting a good creche is difficult. |
