Let’s be completely honest with ourselves for a minute.
How many hours did you spend this week creating reels, looking for trending audio, or writing captions? If you are like most vendors I talk to in Lagos and Abuja, you’re probably exhausted. You do everything right, you get the likes, but when you check your bank app at the end of the day, the energy doesn’t match the cash flow.

If your business isn't sitting in that top 3 map section on their screen, you don't exist to that customer. They will buy from your competitor who took 10 minutes to set up their map profile, even if your products are 10 times better than theirs.
A Real-Life Example That Opened My Eyes
Just recently, I was auditing a very popular, premium retail boutique located inside a well-known mall in Lekki. They have an amazing physical shop and a beautiful 4.9-star rating on Google Maps. On paper, they are winning.
But when I checked their backend setup, I discovered a massive problem: they had zero product catalogs or visual lookbooks attached to their map panel.
A customer searches for them on Google, finds their name, but cannot see a single picture of their current jewelry sets, prices, or a button to order directly on WhatsApp. In this economy, if you make a paying customer stress themselves just to see what you sell, they will close your tab and open another one.

Does it say "Own this business?" at the bottom of your profile? If yes, anyone can change your phone number or lock you out of your own map listing.
Can a customer swipe through your actual products and prices without leaving the search page?
Is your profile stuck on "Pending Verification" or facing constant security blocks?
