However, Justice Mohammed Yunusa restrained the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission from arresting the former minister of aviation on September 3. The decision of a Federal High Court in Lagos also stopped the attorney general of the federation, the inspector general of police and the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission from inviting Oduah for questioning. Besides that her Masters’ degree has been challenged by St Paul’s College, the United States school which supposedly awarded it.

The Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ajjampur R. Ghanashyam accused Alison-Madueke of stealing at least $ 25 million from Indian businessmen in a shady oil deal. Alison-Madueke strongly denies all the accusations. Nevertheless, according to a report by Sahara Reporters, in order to receive immunity from prosecution Diezani Alison-Madueke has allegedly offered Muhammadu Buhari at least $250 million dollars. President Buhari, however, didn’t take the offer.

An offshore oil worker working with one of the oil companies in Delta state died unexpectedly after lodging with two women at Beji's court in Ugborikoko area of Warri in Delta state on September 5th. According to police report, the man arrived the hotel in company of two women but was later found unresponsive in his room by one of the hotel cleaners. The two ladies were no where in sight.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. His body was deposited at the Warri Central Hospital. Efforts are ongoing to trace the ladies while the state CIID Asaba is investigating the matter.

The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC Ibe Kachiukwu today announced that the Port Harcourt refinery has resumed operations and produces 5 million liters of petrol per day. While addressing journalists in Port Harcourt Kachikwu said this recent development will help to stop the era of fuel shortage in the country. He says the plan is to ensure that all the refineries function optimally. He also revealed that there are plans to engage the services of the Nigerian Air force using drones for surveillance of the petroleum pipelines across the country. Kachikukwu also revealed that the Warri refinery will begin full operation before this week ends.
