Can you imagine how inhumane Nigerians are? They are killing people but someone is interested in dirty December. Omo Thoma Hobbes was referring to Nigerians I believe.
So we should keep quite and pretend that all is well and terrorists will continue killing people because you want to still be coming back for dirty December.
Nigerians are impossible[/quote] |

jedisco: Tricky one.. eitherway, you'd pay for most or all of it.
Worth clarifying if using your insurance would count as a claim when you come to renew hence boosting your premium.
If the local chap has good reviews and is trustworthy, I'd prefer using him as he's overall cheaper and likely to be faster.
Subsequently, for repairs that are unlikely to exceed your excess, its worth checking the cost ftom local providers first. MyBuilder app has been a God-sent in finding tradesmen - quick response and one can see reviews Thanks bro. I will check on the app as you said. |

Good day to you all. Please I need advice on this. I woke up and found my patio door to the garden broken. I called my insurance and was told I have £350 excess and their own vendor quoted £623. They requested that I pay £350 while they pay the rest. But I found a local vendor that quoted me £330.
What should I do please?

jedisco: 2 things here.
Someone on T2 can register a company or be a shareholder (restrictions apply).
If using funds from your company as your deposit, you may need to have 2yrs of trading history/tax returns.
Since you have a PAYE job, best might just be to state your deposit is savings from your PAYE role. If there are deposits from your company to your account and they ask, you could then say it's your company. This was the advise by my mortgage advisor when I applied. He didn't bring in my ltd co so the process could remain straightforward. Thanks for your prompt response. I am asking for the purpose of ILR and not on mortgage. My worry is the restriction on the visa that you can't do any other work or business outside the healthcare. |

It seems we still don't get the business side of real estate in the UK. Overpaying your mortgage could necessarily not be the smartest move, infact, real estate wealth was not created by paying off your mortgage rather it comes from the increase in value of the property. As the value of your property increases, the size of your loan decreases. That is why location is the utmost priority in real estate deals. Don't just buy a house cos of its proximity to your workplace or school. There are various websites that project property values(both sales and lettings) within your localities. I used one of them when I was buying. I will look for it when I'm free. In a nutshell, I would rather save that overpayment along with my equity and reinvest in another property or other profitable business. |

abuhusna1: Seeing that you need 25% in 24 states to become president in Nigeria, can the south-east ever produce president because of their arrogance and pride they show towards the hausa and the Yoruba even to their leaders that tries to align with the hausas and the Yoruba cos they understand without the support of Yoruba and hausas they can never get to the seat of power. Even Obi can never get a block support like he did in 2023 because of his divide and rules and religious sentiment he used in his campaign. Who do you think is the person that can get national support from south-east in the nearest future to become president of Nigeria. Please check your email. |

Lexusgs430: Do you have your finances in place, to purchase at auction..... No mortgage available for properties purchased at auction (at least from my historic knowledge)...... There are some lenders that give facility in auction deals. |
