As long as you are not selling your house. It's OK to japa. Japa is not only about making money. Some people just feel OK being born in a small village. Live their lives grow old and die in that same village without exploring the world. Japa is a vibe and another life on its own. Just open your mind to the fun part of it. And as long as you ain't lazy you will definitely do better abroad than you are doing in naija. Its still a personal decision at the end of the day so you know what is good for you.

Car Talk / Re: How I Was Able To Stop "Belt Cutting" Wahala In My Honda Civic by Discreet90: 12:11am On Jan 13
I had similar issues with my Toyota camry back then...belt cutting sometimes twice in a month. Till a mechanic later told me that as long as engine oil doesn't touch my belt. The belt can last for 1 to 2years. He changed faulty oil seals that were letting oil leak to the belt area. Washed everything with petrol and since then the belt never cut till I changed the car.

Relocating alone on student visa without a dependant to work is tough especially if you are not planning to pay most of ur tuition before japa. But if you are strong, hard working and u manage to scale through the 1 year of school. It will be the best decision you ever made.

They don't know the more u earn the more your financial burden in naija. By the time you save for rent. Fuel car with almost 50k per week. How much is left from the money to feed and survive. The system is well designed that no matter your income. You will comfortably pay ur rent and feed very well. If u only know the vroke ppl abroad. At the bolded:

1. There are mosquito, cockroaches and ants abroad. Yes, mosquitoes during summer, just not at the rate they are in tropical region.

2. You only tell us about the income, what about the expenditure? Why silent on that one?

3. Your life can end at anywhere . Knife in UK, gun in the US.

While i respect your decision to relocate, being abroad is not like being in a paradise, like you painted it. They have enormous challenges they face. If it is as golden as you think, you wont see any whites living in Africa. All their graduates are not employed, some are even under employed. Some are homeless. What you see is a bubble - a debt culture. When you stay in the system for a while, reality will hit you like a thunderbolt. Even the whites are looking for where to japa to.

Some embassy staffers and expatriates do not even want to leave Nigeria because they are living their dreams here.

The grass is not always greener at the other side.

Outlined below are the 11 reasons why you must make sure you Japa from Nigeria:

1. For a bright future for you and your family, Japa is the only option you have. Future in Nigeria is looking bleak and cloudy at the moment, Japa now when you can.

2. If you want to live a quality life, give sound education to your kids, have access to comprehensive health care and top-notch life security, Nigeria cannot offer you all these, you can only have access to all these when you Japa

3. I am yet to see anybody that Japa from Nigeria and still remain poor. Poverty is only in Nigeria, once you leave Nigeria, you have bid farewell to Poverty for life. Confirm from all the people that have Japa, all of them are living in prosperity as i type this.

4. Immediately you leave Nigeria, all life and spiritual problems are over, that's why you see that when many people japa from Nigeria, they don't go to church and mosque again, simply because they have no reason to. The Government in their new country of residence have provided everything they needed, so no need to disturb God again. Life problems and Spiritual problems are only in Nigeria, they can't be found elsewhere.

5. Prosperity in Nigeria is by luck, not by hardwork, but elsewhere apart from Nigeria, if you are hardworking, you will surely reap the fruit of your hard work.

6. To Japa from Nigeria can be likened to going to paradise, As a Nigerian, Japa to us is our own paradise on earth, wouldn't you like to go to paradise?

7. Japa is what is Trending now, wouldn't you want to be a part of the new trend? Or you prefer to die inside trenches?

8. All your mates have all Japa, if you don't Japa like your mates too, Automatically you will be labelled a failure. Look around, how many of your school mates and childhood friends are still in Nigeria? All of them have all left and they are all enjoying themselves in their new country of residence.

9. Living anywhere else apart from Nigeria is better. Yes, you heard me right, When you are ready to Japa, ignore all those people saying "do your due diligence" doing due diligence is asking for too much. Anywhere you land yourself, even with your N500,000 savings, is a better place to live than Nigeria.

10. I don't think we still have up to 5 million people left in Nigeria, everybody don japa, do you want to be the only person left in Nigeria when the remaining people Japa?

11. When you Japa from Nigeria, you have Automatically add 30 years to your lifespan, mortality rate is high in Nigeria for obvious reasons, but elsewhere apart from Nigeria, life expectancy is very high.

You guys won't understand what op is saying till you japa. For the Nigerian die hard fans that believes every one that japa is suffering... please accept my condolence on your bleak future. I never even fall sick since I got here. Everything just smooth. U feel healthy. It's when u get here that u actually start living... most ppl just dey exist for naija. Un interrupted power supply is underrated. No mosquito, no cockroach or ants. U wakeup to a beautiful environment with civilized ppl everyday. Your one week work here is more than you 2months hardworking in naija. For your info guys. Not everyone here is doing bad jobs. We have engineering, IT and medical professionals doing very well here. REMAIN IN NAIJA AT YOUR PERIL. All your life savings in naija can be cleared by one sickness or a single kidnapper. U guys won't understand sha.

Don't judge with one man's story. People balling in uk don't post it here. What I will say is that you should just find out how others are applying for jobs and making money here. Here in the uk, you will barely see anyone having less than 2jobs. So for him to say him and his wife cnt get one. It's either you ain't doing something right or your village people are on your matter.

Didn't think I'd actually land the job at all! 500K a month plus housing, car, health and life insurance benefits.
Why is life always like this??!! In serious dilemma what to do
I was have seen bank managers and even me personally was earning more than that amount before I relocated. The moment my visa came out too alot of distracting opportunities started coming up. 500k today is not up to 500dols. There are opportunities for you once you are into tech, IT or any engineering skill. Don't let your village people distract your bright Japa. Also don't listen to those who japa with their agricultural certificate or biz admin. We tech guys are doing well and in high demand. I will keep saying it that as long as you are earning below 3m a month in naija. You have no reason to say no to Japa. Naija ain't worth it right now. Imagine fueling your car with almost 50k a month from the 500k. How much is left. Rent still dey. U go won marry born pickin. Reason am well o

White men should please stop all these mass migration to their countries, and help us help the African man to stay and build his country. Don’t allow the African man to eat from the table you have prepared for yourselves, women and children. Help us help him prepare his own table for himself, women and children. I beg of you. The shame is too much for us that they cannot build a decent civilization for himself, women and children.
Be there crying and shouting women and children. Don't gather money and find a way for yourself and family to relocate. It is the best decision any Nigerian can make. People are doing far better in diaspora. The first year may be challenging. But afterwards it's all pure testimony
Politics / Re: Tinubu Regime Wants To Kidnap Me In Ghana - David Hundeyin Tells UN HRC by Discreet90: 7:44am On Sep 28, 2023
This guy is not mentally OK. He keeps spilling trash and insulting a sitting president. Defaming a sitting president with crazy accusations without any solid evidence and he feels there won't be repercussions. But I am sure Tinubu doesn't even have his time. All those feeling of tinubu coming after him is just an illusion and lies for him to get political asylum. Because a sitting Nigerian president will get him within a week if they are serious about him. He should ask igboho. Nnamdi kanu and others. The guy is just a nuisance seeking attention.

You are ignorant. They went on student visa just like others did.
Secondly, the money being used by these japa people are raised through different ways. If they spent 20k, don't just assume that all the 20k belonged to them. There are people putting the money in the accounts of these students just for business.
Your ignorance has PhD. According to the story they sold house cars and all. Can you convert all this properties to pounds and see if it's not up to 20000 pounds already or almost. Keep cooking up super story with a low iq and expecting everyone to believe or agree with you. Plus whether student route japa or not the post work visa remains less than 800 pounds per person which According to the childish story remains the main issue for them to pay and I find it ridiculously impossible. Husband and wife are working in the uk or u want to say you don't know that with the student visa husband has full work visa and wife has 20hours weekly. You guys will just sit in ur village and cook up stupid stories about what you don't even understand. I am sure op has never see an airport before with this ridiculous story

All this bearer of bad news won't let us rest with their lies and deciet. Please how much do you think is the cost of the post work visa. They make it sound like a big deal. The post work visa fee is less than 800pounds per person. How can you tell us that a family of five that spent over 20,000 pounds to relocate. And probably living in a house of at least 1,200pounds permonth can't afford ordinary 800pounds. We have people there that are doing very fine. If u wish to stay in this country no1 is stopping u. Only low iq people will believe all these cooked up lies.

Op is on cheap weed. So people in nigeria are not suffering?. Do you know the number of nigeria medical doctors, nurses. Engineers we have in uk that are doing very well. Keep consolling yourself to think you are better than those in the uk. Smh
guobe:
UK Japa is not what most people that have travelled to UK were expecting.

Things are really tough for most Nigerians in UK. Some of them that passed through the student route have to cough out several millions of naira to pay the school fees and will have to work extra hard to achieve this. You see them crying in the night that God please help me through.

Most goods and services have gone up times 5 in UK and with the recent increase in the interest rate over there it seems there won't be a breather yet.

On the flip side most Nigerians that migrated are doing it for their kids future and we hope things get better with time.
