They are doing exactly as commanded in the Koran

Surah 4 :74.
Let those (believers) who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter
fight in the Cause of Allah, and whoso fights in the Cause of Allah, and
is killed or gets victory, We shall bestow on him a great reward.

This verse is always quoted out of context, it was directed to certain people at a certain time when they were being killed by the idol worshippers of that time

why then are majority of muslims senior scholars/preacher preacheas the opposite of what you are putting forward. Are you more knowlegdeable than them when they have spent their entire life studying the koran?

None of what I said is my personal opinion, it's what true Islam preaches. The problem with people and religion is either people preaching for their selfish interests or people following blindly. God didn't just give us brains for no use, it is for reasoning. If anybody tells me to blow up myself so i'll go to heaven, I should ask my self if he doesn't want to go to heaven?
Politics / Re: Boko Haram Bombs Every Northern State But Katsina And Sokoto...why? by diskindaridi: 10:42pm On Jul 07, 2015
Ikengawo:
I've noticed that they're selective. At their best they reach Kaduna, Kano and Plat., at their worst they're stuck on Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa, but they never reach Sokoto and Katsina. Even Zamafara.

Part of solving the problem is understanding it. What makes those particular states different and how can this difference be adapted by the other states to avoid bombing. Northerners, you're usually quiet on this board and call it cite it as a good thing but at this point your silence isn't working. The rest of us would like to know, unless you yourself don't know. At that point we all have to investigate for answers.

Does anyone have a reason for this?

In my own opinion, for Borno and Yobe, BH started from maiduguri and damaturu is the closest state capital which is also shekau's place of birth so the concentration of their activities. As for Adamawa, BH started operating there when they were dislodged from maiduguri town to sambisa which is close to Adamawa. The route from maiduguri to abuja which passes through Damaturu, potiskum, Azare and then Kano is also another factor thus the activities in Azare, Bauchi and Kano. As for Kaduna and Plateau, the religious crises in those states created a safe haven for BHT. The victims of those crises took the laws into their hands because nothing was done to bring the perpetrators to book. I think in Plateau and Kaduna it's more of revenge and not necessarily BHT and that's why it's mostly the fulani people that are suspected to cause havocs in places like southern Kaduna and places like the Dogo na hauwa event.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Leave Islam Or Accept Polygamy... by diskindaridi: 1:35pm On Jun 27, 2015
Am I the only person noticing that everybody is avoiding the option of the sister being a second wife? What's wrong with that? It's halaal and even a sunnah. The question of marrying the non-muslim is completely out of the question. If he really loves you, why doesn't he revert to Islam instead of insisting you convert? Isn't he ready to make sacrifices he's asking you to make even before you get married?

Politics / Re: Was The Air-strike In Calabar Justified?... By Diamondtutu by diskindaridi: 9:58am On Jun 23, 2015
diamondtutu:
Has it started, its a question, has it started? I believe the GCFR has an answer to my question, has the plan to fully extinct the Niger-Delta started. If there is anything I was going to miss about ex-presido Ebele,is his stance in diplomacy, tribal tolerance and transparency, since when did calabar became a war zone,i mean the last time I checked the "Nigerian Bemuda" was still located at the Northern region,so what reason did the airforce had to carryout this air attack, since when has the Niger-Delta become a war zone, when everyday people are dying of hunger and starvation as a result of greed.

I see the politicization of the armed force already in place, there is nothing new about PMB,its only putting a new wine in an old bottle, why? Why? Why? Are you troubling the already calm waters, what justification did you had to order an air-strike,is it a thank you gift to Ebele for fighting boko Haram,is this a sympathetic gift, these questions are not rhetoric.

Boko haram has been living freely, roaming as the Daura cows, grazing the green, feeding on blood and hides of the spoils, instead of keeping to defeating this scourge, attention is being directed to the Niger-Delta.
I saw the excuse of the air force, wait, are there no rules of engagement,is air strike the first and best option, what happened to the marine police, crack Squad,CIBs,and the CTUS of the Nigeria police force,is air strike the best option,we are all here in Nigeria,we knew how long the boko boys dealt with Nigeria before the army stepped it,now it's about bombing the creeks,i think I have to educate these service chiefs, what you call creeks isn't like your sambisa, the creeks is a home to everyone,we grew up in creeks,we live in creeks, its not a criminal hideout, there are innocent civilians there, why haven't you carried out airstrikes against the coward boko boys ever since,OH! You claim the had human sheilds, children and women, now, just 22 days in office, you have already order an air strike against Niger-Delta,and you think we would fold our hands and see you destroy the lives we have built for ourself over the years. We don't kill innocent women,we are not rapists,we don't kinap children and put them in family way,we aren't Yerimatic, inpregnating girls of our grand_daughter's age,so why the hustle, why the scrambling? Let Niger-delta alone, terminate all contracts given to Tompolo and co.we don't care, afterall, what impact did they had,but pls Mr Chief of air staff, such an action taken to enforce the crown must never be taken again without due consultations from the Elders of the south-south.

We are all aware,we know how many times the govt met with the Northern elders before an air strike was initiated against boko haram. Be careful"a child that throws stone at people and runs behind his mother apron runs the risk of been beaten up when his mother goes for farm" this govt. Will not be here forever.

Since our son has been betrayed,by even those he paid more attention to their welfare,we are unperturbed,bt I blame Him,yes I blame Ebele,he ignored his people, forgeting that family love is the greatest. Please,PMB don't order airstrike against my people, take the military experience to Sambisa,we all know that early 2009,Boko haram, the self acclaimed ISIS of west Africa wasn't a militia, they once had an ideology, but when a Goat is push to the wall, its comes back. Don't depopulate our numbers in the name of curbing militancy,Militants are not Boko haram, they don't hide, they don't bomb innocent civilians, they are not religious in nature, they don't kindnap school girls whose principal has now been nominated as a commissioner in Bornu after carrying out her assignment to bedevil Ebele, these doesn't bother me as much as the way the Niger-Delta is treated with impunity.
Pls sir, call your boys to order,as further air-strikes in the ND will been seen as a calculated attempt not only to depopulate the region, but also a call to Survival, and we will be prepared then.

@agharuwa

First of all, was there an airstrike? How many casualties were reported? Any evidence of the strike? Nigerian press just needs to start being careful with technical terms. There's a difference between a raid and a strike. A raid might just be a patrol over an area, when the police raid an area, it doesn't mean they killed anybody so also the military. It could be just to show presence and dislodge people hiding in those areas.

Politics / Re: No Going Back On Bombing Of Niger Delta Creeks-nigerian Airforce by diskindaridi: 3:52pm On Jun 20, 2015

No going back on bombing of Niger Delta creeks – Nigerian Airforce

The Nigerian Airforce has said its bombing of the suspected hideouts of militants in the creeks of Cross River State is continuous and would soon be extended to Akwa-Ibom State and other south-south states.
The creeks were yesterday bombed on the orders of the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall Adesola Amosu.

The order followed frequent attacks on vessels, police stations, seafarers including market women by gunmen suspected to be pirates and militants on the Calabar waterways.

Amosu ordered deployment of the M17 gunship helicopter to survey and bomb all suspected hideouts of militants and sea robbers along the creeks of Calabar.
This was disclosed by Commander of the 207 Special Mobility Group based in Calabar, Air Commodore Charles Ohwo.
A witness said the air attack lasted over one hour.
Speaking to journalists, the commander said the exercise will be continuous.
He said they were able to bomb suspected targets in the entire creeks of Calabar waterways up to Bakassi and environs and that the raid would extend to creeks in Akwa Ibom State.
He said the exercise was planned in conjunction with the Navy, Army and police, but led by the Air Force “because of reach and air advantage. Innocent lives were not affected.

You see that's the problem with us especially Nigerians. We are just like zombies we do what people we believe are holier than us tell us to do without verifying the source of their arguments. That was how a pastor asked his congregation to eat grass and most of them ended up in the hospital. That is how one fool will tell people to go and blow themselves up to make heaven. The question is doesn't he want that same heaven? Doesn't he want to die a martyr too? If anybody preaches suicide or violence, ask him where he got it from or why he hasn't blown his own self up.

What about the hadith in favour or against succide bombing?

Suicide is a major sin. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stated that the one who commits suicide will be punished with something like that with which he killed himself.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever throws himself down from a mountain and kills himself will be in the Fire of Hell, throwing himself down therein for ever and ever. Whoever takes poison and kills himself, his poison will be in his hand and he will be sipping it in the Fire of Hell for ever and ever. Whoever kills himself with a piece of iron, that piece of iron will be in his hand and he will be stabbing himself in the stomach with it in the Fire of Hell, for ever and ever.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5442; Muslim, 109.

It was narrated from Thaabit ibn al-Dahhaak (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever kills himself with something in this world will be punished with it on the Day of Resurrection.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5700; Muslim, 110.

It was narrated that Jundub ibn ‘Abd-Allaah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Among those who came before you there was a man who was wounded and he panicked, so he took a knife and cut his hand with it, and the blood did not stop flowing until he died. Allaah said: ‘My slave hastened to bring about his demise; I have forbidden Paradise to him.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3276; Muslim, 113.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) refrained from offering the funeral prayer for one who had committed suicide, as a punishment to him and so as to deter others from doing what he had done. But he gave the people permission to offer the funeral prayer for him, so it is Sunnah for the people of knowledge and virtue not to offer the funeral prayer for one who has committed suicide, following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

It was narrated that Jaabir ibn Samurah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: A man who had killed himself with a broad arrow-head was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and he did not offer the funeral prayer for him. Narrated by Muslim, 978.

If at all the APC will think of going into a Unity government then I pray they allow the current minister of Agric continue in his ministry. That was where the GEJ government really impressed me
Otenestbestyaho:
The 2015 presidential elections have come and gone. The opposition party, All Progressives Congress (APC) have won the majority votes and have been magnanimous in victory while the incumbent president, President Goodluck Jonathan should be commended for his statesmanship, accepting defeat and even going ahead to congratulate his opponent, General Muhammadu Buhari when it was clear he had lost.

Now, the coast is clear, and it is now time for serious political permutations and politicking. Analysts are looking forward to an APC cabinet filled with qualified men and women who can help Buhari steer this nation to prosperity.

Naij.com pens down 6 chieftains (from the 6 geo-political zones of Nigeria) of the APC who are most likely to make the cut. Read below:
1. Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed (North-West): Dr. Ahmed is the Coordinator of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kaduna State. He is a retired civil servant and he has served Nigeria in various capacities meritoriously. He was one of the senior APC chieftains at the International Conference Centre (ICC), venue of the collation of the 2015 presidential result. His loyalty to Buhari is unshakeable and he is likey to be among the first names penciled down for a ministerial duty under the Buhari government. Prediction: Foreign Affairs.

2. Governor Rotimi Amaechi (South-South): Rivers state governor and the Director-General of the Buhari/Osinbanjo campaign team, Amaechi, is one of the biggest winners in the just concluded presidential election. Amaechi who practically sacrificed his comfort to work tirelessly for Buhari’s victory is a grassroots politician whose support base is very solid. His sterling performance as the governor of Rivers state also puts him in good stead for a ministerial appointment. Prediction: Interior

3. Kayode Fayemi (South-West): Former governor of Ekiti state, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, is a strong contender for a role in Buhari’s cabinet. Fayemi supervised the rancour-free and credible presidential primary election of the APC in Lagos late last year. Armed with a Doctorate in War Studies from the prestigious Kings College, University of London, England. Fayemi’s experience and extensive international contacts will be valuable for Buhari’s government. He has been very visible in the campaign of Buhari and no doubt stands a chance of being part of the new government. Prediction: Trade & Investment.

4. Senator Chris Ngige (South-East): A former governor of Anambra state, Ngige is the face of APC in the South-East. Although he recently lost his aspiration to return to the upper chambers of the national assembly for the second time, Ngige remains a force to reckon with in the scheme of things as far as the South-East is concerned. His achievements in road and infrastructural development as the chief executive of Anambra state is still very fresh in the memories of political observers. Prediction: Works

5. Shehu Garba (North-East): Garba is the spokesperson for the Buhari/Osinbanjo campaign team. A political disciple of the former vice-president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Garba has been very visible and effective in the campaign train of Buhari. A core professional, Garba is a veteran in the Nigerian media industry, having worked for decades in various media houses. The Buhari administration will no doubt need his experience as they chart a new course for the country. Prediction: Information & National Orientation.

6. Prince Abubakar Audu (North-Central): Audu has been twice the Governor of Kogi’s state. His first tenure was from January 1992 until November 1993 and the second from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2003. He is a veteran in Nigerian politics. His administration is credited for building the popular Obajana Cement Factory. The 68-year old has been a strong ally of Buhari right from their days in the defunct All Nigeria’s Peoples Party (ANPP). Audu is expected to be rewarded for his role in ensuring Buhari wins the majority votes in his home-state, thanks to his efforts. Prediction: Labour & Productivity.
