Good talk! Thank you. Deadlytruth: According to Pastor Tunde Bakare, one of the most costly acts of kindness is when you toil and labour very hard for years making sacrifices and bearing unspeakable pains in pursuit of a dream, and when that dream finally materializes, rather than enjoy it yourself you, in the name kindness, hold it out to someone who was never part of the sacrifices and the pains, and then say "Come and take". He added that even God himself will not be happy with that your kindness. So you want those of us who have suffered almost nine years of the pains of losing hundreds of thousands and even millions in Fortis amidst pain and fear of delisting to, at this time of opportunity to reap, just call you and say; come and take, just because we want to deliver 100k units to move price up? Abeg if the moneybags in Fortis are not ready to release 100k bloc units, let it remain where it is. We the ordinary shellholders are not in a hurry. After all we did nine years inside it already. Lol. |

I now agree say miracle dey happen well, well. In the recklessness that buildup to 2008 crash, I got to my now dead broking firm desk and I discovered someone in there had dumped some units of standard alliance insurance into my portfolio, and my acct balance was in the negative. My protest yielded no result as they debited the amount from my subsequent sell orders. Since then, I had taken it as part my sch fees. Now the stock has resurrected! Surely, miracles happens! yMcy56: No. This is the old Standard Alliance Insurance that's long dead but now alive....😁
** Ticker is FTGINSURE
Who says miracles don't happen? Miracle no dey tire Jesus 🎊🎉🙌

Na wa! awesomeJ: The fact that you live in an illusion of my returns not being accurate, does it in any way change the fact that I've enjoyed the returns and grown my portfolio with it
Is it that when you now do this your analysis, that's when my bank account will get credited
Like what purpose do you think it will serve other than you hoping that your illusions become real, and you getting comforted that you have a colleague in failure
My brother, about this time last year, I didn't even have 100k of my own money, I was N5m in debt, I borrowed from Oxygen X at 156% APR.
Today, i'm trading N1bn a quarter.
Keep running all the analyses you want in your mind, I will enjoy my own reality and be grateful.
When you're able to trade N50bn a quarter consistently with profit , then maybe I will consider that you might know something I need.
For now, offer your analysis to the learners that need it.
P.S I used N50bn cos I imagine your current portfolio is probably 50x my own. |

100%. There is definitely a conspiracy network. yMcy56: As I still dey fear to enter ABC to village, I say make I branch here.....
There's something every investor is still not looking at (aside "I told you so" )
NGX has a case to answer here ..... ** Why did they lift the suspension on Aso Savings in the first place? ** Why lift the suspension and place it again if they're not a party to robbing investors off? ** They seems to masterminded this luring people in ** Why did CBN not revoke this licence long ago? Or do they want to tell us it's oversight? ** Whose interest is CBN actually protecting? ** Whose interest is NGX/SEC actually protecting? ** Why can't CBN provide soft landing for investors by trying to see who can either merge or buy over the mortgage homes....just like the case of Unity Bank (like someone said) ?
* I'm almost agreeing with Streetinvestor2 here that this is becoming a disgraced nation......
** For the kind hearted ones that sympathize with us, may God bless you all. ** By God's grace, we will definitely weather the storm and come out stronger IJN. 🙏 |

Geo-Fluids I received a notice of General Meeting of Geo-Fluids plc from PAC Registrars. Out of curiosity, I clicked an accompanying link, and that took me to the detailed notice of the GM for the presentation and approval of their audited financials, I think from 2012 or so, to 2024. The notice also is full of forward-looking statements, including movement from nasd to ngx, recap etc. I hope village winch are not at work again. Not investment call (NIC). |

I had to sweat it out to get the stock to buy, as it was always on full bid. The day my bid was filled was the day it made its first loss. Before I knew it, suspension followed. And now finally, licence revoked! Looking like I'm being targeted. SonofElElyonRet: Na wa o. Stock exchange lifted suspension and misled many to invest their hard earned money which now appears lost.. people should be held accountable for this |

Wrong timing. CGT, having to compete with other more reliable offers are sure headwinds. Streetinvestor2: This scarm alert will learn the hard way..lol I saw 18 billion new shares lol They changed thr mill from 3 tonnes to 5 tonnes and now it is 6 tonnes..lol Like I noticed they manipulated the price to #15 and was doing everything with media to keep it above #14 because the target for the PO was #13 Now cgt has happened to all the manipulation. Not too long ago, out of curiosity, I made an enquiry about my sub-tribe/local government in my state of origin. AI was just reeling out inaccurate, and sometimes outright wrong answers. What is more disturbing is the way it presents wrong narratives as indisputable truth. Each time it brought out its lies, I would correct it and ask it recheck. It would verify my info, and come back to tender its apologies. At the end of the day, I told the AI not present such wrong narratives about my people to subsequent or future enquirers. Streetinvestor2: The AI is not really perfect. I was using it over the weekend to find out about electrical system of my car.It kept giving wrong information and conflicting answers My kid said it was giving him wrong information on his assignment. And he started use negative words on it and the thing stopped responding to his further inquires..lol I never confirmed how true it could be oh |

This CGT has scared me out of ngx. A victim of 2008 crash, who ran away, found his way back just few years ago, stumble on this formidable forum, and started to make appreciable consolidation. Then that tax man is now throwing spanners in the wheel. I have sold off almost all my ngx holdings at unripe prices. Many thanks to the bosses in the house who freely offer information without attaching strings. Mpeace: The same thing pulling other stocks. Many stocks ought to be on good bids and price appreciation. |

Thanks so much for this explanation. otomatic: No. MPR is currently 27% effective 23rd September 2025. So your saving account interest rate will be 30% of 27(not 27 percent). That is your savings interest rate is 8.1%. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Divineability: 11:18am On Oct 06, 2025 |
Pls enlighten me more about this. Is this implying that my savings acct will yield 30% interest if no withdrawals? otomatic: Nigerian savings accounts also earn interest at 30% of MPR, provided withdrawals do not exceed a certain number of times in a month. |

E - Evaluate available investment options in compliance with your risk tolerance.

E - Enlarged portfolio doesn't translate to gains; the content of the portfolio matters a lot. Prioritize quality over quantity.
N - Non-profitable investments may appear profitable on the surface until you check. Do your due diligence.
C - Clear all doubts before you venture into any investment; don't go into what you don't understand. Be convinced and let your decision be guided by accurate data.
