Recently a man has voice out that he wanted a refund of the money he spent in university to bag a degree.

According to him, he has not done anything useful with the certificate.

This got me thinking: After several years prolonged by ASUU strike, he graduated and was unemployed which made the certificate useless to him.

You know the popular adage that says : We are the leaders of tomorrow? It seems the tomorrow has come and yet the leadership baton isn't passed after all.

I also graduated from LAUTECH and used 9years as against 5years to bag a BMLS certificate and as one of the Top in my class, I was hoping to get the compulsory one year internship as a medical personnel almost immediately but to my utmost surprise, it took me more years and this delayed my NYSC

Making it a total of about 12years both in school and to finally served my country. Well in my own case I didn't even bother looking for any employment: I felt if it took my those years to get internship, how much more a permanent job

Now I need your point of views about these things:

Many opportunities are around us, it not compulsory you work based on your degree

Infact several companies are eliminating degree from there requirements and replacing it with skills.

Get a high income skill and thank me later

While some people are complaining of unemployment, several people are getting more than the jobs they can handle per time with Good pay!

How exactly are they doing this, do they have 2heads? Absolutely no.

Ever heard of freelancing? Yes! Freelancing simply means non-commitment to only one boss.

Many companies, brands, organisations now employ freelancers who they can pay based on job delivered rather than putting anyone on monthly pay rolls.

This to a large extent has reduced unemployment to a drastic level.

All you have to do is get high income skills you need to get the jobs done and be a part of the freelancing platforms where several jobs await you.

Skills such as:
Copywriting
Content creation
Ui/Ux
Web designing
Are on great demands.

Consider platforms like fiverr, upwork etc.
If you don't have these skills, don't worry as you can learn it plus locating high paying clients who you can work with.

The truth is job opportunities are now scare day in day out.

Instead of waiting to be employed, you can load yourself with valueable skills that can self employ you even while doing the NYSC.

Well education is beyond getting a college degree,most times when people complains about unemployment after a college degree, it means they haven't added extra skills to their learning process.

What you need to do is maximize the time and opportunity you have to learn a high income skill.

This will help you to understand how money works and implementation of this will help you go a longer way

You can be educated when you keep on learning new things.

Most of the useful educational knowledge most people got so far were gotten beyond the walls of schools

So do not be limited to thinking you can only get educated in school

Education simply means getting the knowledge you want without violating the right of others, it is not limited to only a college degree.

Am educated person's is that person that can get what he/she wanted without violating rights of others.
